  1. know who that is!!! I went ONCE, and due to relative standing there talking the whole time with her, I never went back
  2. Jeanne O'Halleran has done a fine job with my daughter's divorce; very kind, patient, thorough. I would highly recommend her.
  3. I had a very difficult, obstinate,smart-mouthed boy in my 2nd gr class one year, who came in at 7:30 holding his cheek. I asked what happened, and as he told me, I saw his cheek was red. He said his mother hit him with a cereal box, because he didn't want that kind. He slapped it, as he told me. I knew his mother very well from outside school, and knew she must have been at the end of her rope that morning. Later that day, the PE teacher told me she had reported him for abuse, due to the red cheek (he had PE at 8:00 and it was slightly red but he kept slapping it, too). DFACS visited that
  4. heard that Braves' Dan Uggla lives in southern PC.
  5. I'm a South Cobb graduate, in the days of the sock hops in the gym with live bands, a smoking hole outside, Big Hugh Baby on the radio, and NO PANTS or shorts for girls! I wore hot pants culottes one day and was promptly sent home to change.
  6. stupid people, with no morals or values, vote for these idiots
  7. so hard to narrow them down: -calling boy child "my little man" -referring to a driver's license, which is ONE, as THEM -when someone dies, saying they've become an angel. No, refer to Bible. Angels are created beings, we do NOT become one.
  8. Kudos to you and your wife for making a great day about FAMILY activities, not gifts. He learned a valuable life lesson all the way around. Memories will last forever.

  11. we love: 1 bottle Fanta orange 2 cans sweetened condensed milk top off with milk super easy; never gets really hard, but is firm enough after sitting covered an hr or 2
  12. I'll be there Aug. 1 to BUY lunch for my family.
  13. Textbooks for the students We spend the least of any county in Georgia to educate each student, I believe the taxpayers in the county are satisfied with that and what a crying shame that is for Paulding County
  14. I was embarrassed for Dallas by the parents' behavior throughout the program. I would hate to be that child's teacher, for she will do no wrong.
  15. My son in law, father of 2 little girls, said the fathers of those children ought to be beaten for allowing it! He said, "men know what those outfits and moves make guys think".
  16. Pet peeves? Today, they are: 1. folks who talk on cellphone and drive in parking lots...not knowing what they're doing or where they are going. 2.Folks who talk LOUDLY on cellphones in stores, while they're shopping. The WORST are those who are speaking a foreign language loudly on their phones, while shopping. 3. Mothers who discipline their children loudly, so everyone within a mile can hear them doing so...as if that makes them a good mother.
  17. on Cobb/Paulding line...actually house is in Cobb, back yard in Paulding...pay Paulding taxes for some reason. Am a Cobb native, DH a Bartow/Cobb guy
  18. YES! We met an elderly man, who said, "well, I'm a McPherson. I guess you know him from the war." We were perplexed and then he proceeded to tell us of his ancestor's role in the Civil War. We were astounded that was how he introduced himself! I HAD to go see Roses Store, when we moved here..having heard it referenced so often when we were looking at houses. Shocked, to say the least! But I understand now.
  19. holy mackeral; who in their right mind would vote for her?
  20. another thing we found intolerable, while looking at houses..SMELLS. Animal smells, moldy smells, old food smells. If a cat lived in a house, we turned around and left. WE get used to smells in our own home, so you may want the realtor to sniff it out for you!
  21. I've taught very young children, who seemed to be gay, and due to facebook, I've seen that they've grown up and do live the gay lifestyle. I never thought they chose it before they were even 8 yrs. old. I also have a relative who lived the lifestyle from middle school until he was about 35, but came out of it when he met his future wife. So, I believe some are born to be gay and others chose the life.
  22. love "our" Walmart, the one on Dallas Hwy. Bulk of our groceries/all toiletries are bought there, after we shop Aldi first.
