  1. just wondering if this guy attended school at Powder Spgs Elem; if so, I have memories of him
  2. I'm thinking more of a man she had spurned, perhaps by not speaking to or just ignoring; someone a little "off" who let it build and build, watching her walk every day, an he not able to approach her. Thinking, if he can't have her, no one else can either, or no one else will want her after what I do to her.
  3. probably same guy I saw openly carrying in WalMart; fits the description. It was unsettling for me, but I seemed to be the only one looking.
  4. we love CSD Pool Butler division; one customer service oriented company to highly recommend..your pool looks wonderful
  5. I've never heard anything good about the school at Grace, Trinity used to be wonderful, but I've heard a lot of negatives in the past couple years; I know several families whose kids go to Praise on Hiram-Lithia Springs Rd. and they really like it and think their kids are getting a good education. Good luck. You want to be sure the teachers are certified; there used to be a problem with that at some small schools.
  6. We love our salt system; so much easier than chlorine tabs, water is soft, really nice. We put smooth pebbles around edges between pool and fence. I tried plants, but pulled them out; don't want to water anything. Plan on a shady area, table and umbrella? You'll need those huge Rubbermaid boxes with hinged lids to put cleaning tools in, also an excellent Polaris cleaner. At least 1 electric outlet is a must. Your installer may have told you all these things, but just in case....
  7. Looking for recommendations for reliable, honest, competent chimney sweep for older home. I don't see one advertising here, so hope I can find one from someone who has used and was happy with one. Thanks.
  8. Why do my comments get treated to snippy, sarcastic insults..this is why many have left this board to the few regular posters, who attack anyone they don't know and get a stab in, thinking they look clever. Sad, sad world to think this is the way to push your way through life. I dared to make a comment, and am not surprised at the ugly, negative, attacking..but Postman's surprised me. Whatever, I'm on to more positive, uplifting people. LPPT was right, when she said the negativity on here was bothersome.
  9. Holy mackeral. While walking into Town Ctr. mall, I realized I was behind a female (can't say LADY) wearing the sheer yoga pants that recently made the news as being recalled. No undies. I thought surely she didn't know, then a guy met up with her, so guess it was no big deal. I googled images and there are quite a few of women wearing these. Why, why would a girl do this? I was embarrassed for staring (as were others behind her).
  10. at most schools, the inclusion teacher is the one whose turn it is to be it; those teachers are general ed, who have been given the sped kids with parapros...in other words, few teachers choose the situation and are not trained to be there...I personally think most kids with IEPs are better served in a small group, with a teacher trained for their abilities, who WANT to teach them...inclusion is usally not the route teachers would choose for these kids, who need more attention and more skilled teachers
  11. sometimes it's not the prior owners who trash their homes; some people look for abandoned houses and back a truck up to them and strip them during the night...this happened to a relative's house, who was going back to clean up and the appliances, light fixtures, cabinets, outside AC were gone..neighbors heard them, but thought it was the prior owners.
  12. it's a killer, and shouldn't be ignored!
  13. what rich lives these children live; exposure to thoughts outside their tvs, sports heroes, clothes; the mind is a sponge, capable of absorbing and developing details far beyond our basic thoughts
  14. the location is the pits; hope it does well enough to relocate!
  15. I've taught several very young children who seemed to be gay; indicated by choice of clothing, mannerisms, haircuts, activities, artwork, etc. And thru the magic of facebook, have found a few who are definitely so. SO, I believe a 6 yr old can certainly KNOW.
  16. had something similar happen, but it was carpet cleaner. She craned her neck around me, while talking about the product (at the door) and kept trying to ease past me. She did push past and ran to the carpeted stairs to show me how it worked, while looking around the living room. I called for husband (who wasn't really home) and she left. I told a police friend, and he said those are "casing the joint" tactics to see what you have. Sadly, I had a sister who DID those things and that was the purpose.
  17. May God bless you and hold you close. I am so very sorry you are struggling and in pain.
  18. is this the 3 yr old you had on Toddlers & Tiaras? Just wondering
  19. another Section 8 neighbor??? They're always the best
  20. hilarious post! It is factual, in the physical sense, but none of this matters, IF you believe in God, the creator of all, who set this in motion anyway. Who cares about "movers & shakers"? There are higher goals to which to aspire. But, if looking for random reasons for a child to be thought extra special, there you go!
  21. while teaching at a local university, we were told to address such blatant disrespect for the dress code; when I saw several such guys, I never debated what to do. Considering their swagger and glaring looks, and hats on sideways, I just kept on walking!!
  22. 10% for poor service 15% for ok 20% for good More, if excellent or I feel sorry for an older lady doing the hard job, or if the ticket is small amount
