  1. This brought up the image, "Papers please!" It's all about safety, no need for concern. Ahhhhh The Land of the Free.
  2. Personally I think there is something to be said for the view of drinking alcohol in America vs Europe and other countries. It's viewed as such a viral and sinful act throughout childhood here the states, that once adulthood arrives the aura of alcohol is much brighter than what it should be. Even as a 40 something year old adult I am questioned for ID, as was my 87 year old father in law for ID as if we're buying something rare and immoral. It's no wonder when kids, and adults for that matter get their hands on it that they lose control with something that has been off limits or viewed as so
  3. I love the outdoors, and I absolutely HATE A SLOB. It infuriates me to go to a nice place in the woods and see where someone was too damn lazy to carry a piece of trash back to a trashcan. Dumping bags of trash? That's just a down right good for nothing POS slob. I'd love to see them let him pay the fine and put him out picking up his own trash and the trash on other WMA lands and GA State Parks.
  4. Rest his soul and my heart goes our for his family.
  5. What an awesome player to watch. So sad for his life to end this way. It's so true that you never know what demons someone is fighting inside them. I too wonder if injuries played a part.
  6. That 1/4 mile stretch is a magnet for serious accidents. I am always watching my speed and ready to hit the brakes going through that area.
  7. Military men and women know that you don't speak poorly about your CO's in a public forum, especially the Commander-In- Chief. This guy was stupid for doing so. I remember the conversation I had with my son on the way to MEPS for him to swear in as a soldier and leave for Army basic training. I gave him advice that I lived by when I went in decades before. I told him it was best for him to keep the politics out of his job and just do what he was told. Just obey your orders and don't discuss the politics. He never was one to debate politics anyway, even though he had an opinion, but he listene
  8. Glad I read the reviews. From what I am reading it seems clothing is the big item. I have never visited one of their stores and had pictured them to be similar to the other box store that starts with a big D. I went there a few weeks ago for the second time in my life and will never visit again after buying a couple of hundred dollars of fishing supplies and receiving not even a hello from the staff. I'd love a store nearby with a friendly staff that carries fishing, hunting and a wide variety of camping supplies. I'd prefer privately owned stores, since they seem to actually care about their
  9. I do enjoy wine and drink it on occasion, just not as much as my bourbon or whiskey. I love just about any Cabernet Sauvignon. Over the past couple of years I have also been purchasing a bottle from time to time from Arizona Stronghold Wines and Caduceus Cellars. The idea of grapes grown in the high desert was interesting and I'm a fan of the owner's music as well. The wife loves her Australian Pinot Grigio.
  10. Gone are the days when the kids would fear punishment from their parents more than the cops and teachers. Now it's what have you done to my poor baby! If this little hellion was throwing furniture and endangering the teacher and other students then she deserved to be hauled away. It shouldn't be up to the teacher to place some WWE hold on the wild ass kid just to make the classroom safe. Besides in today's world by doing that you're risking losing your job, your house, bank account and everything you are wearing all because you "hurt their little baby." They are the same kids that grow up and
  11. Just an observation is all, that high level politicians make racial statements when certain people are involved. Or even get involved period!
  12. It would be the headline story on ABC news MSNBC CNN and every network in the US. There would be an outcry for justice and an investigation. But given the circumstances you will never hear a damn word about it because it doesn't fit the media's cause. Now I wonder if our wonderful president would like to claim any of the male attackers in that video as someone that his son would look like?
  13. I'm afraid of the people who are concealed carry and do not possess a CCP. The ones that have stolen the concealed weapon and have robbery, rape and murder on their mind. They are maybe out on parole for another violent crime and looking for their next. Yeah those are the ones I would call a SOB. The person who has been fingerprinted, photographed and run through a background check? Not so much.
  14. I just think it's funny that the news trucks pass a few schools where some pretty heinous things take place just to get to little ole PC to report on a story like this. Not that it's nothing to be taken serious by any means, just not news worthy to me. Now some of the things I hear from parents and kids over at a couple of Cobb schools, yeah, those seem to be news worthy. But....I have never heard a word about it.
  15. Walks like a duck, looks like a duck, it's a damn duck. You don't take a fellow female employee who is tall pretty and blonde and half your age on a motorcycle ride late Sunday night, just for mentoring. Especially when you're a married father of four and she's engaged. Besides, scumbag Patrino already admitted to the inappropriate relationship. He's a quitter and a low life. He can't follow anything through, as we see now, not even his marriage.
  16. I'm not big on complaining to management or a customer service line. Usually I will not go to that same person in that business or not visit that business again. I will however make sure to ask for a manager or the number to customer service if the service is exemplary. Based on how our society of complainers is geared these days this usually brings a number of responses like, " Sir is there a problem?" I always have to calm them down and let them know I want to compliment, not complain.
  17. They stopped by my house as well. I thought about it but then decided no. I searched "U Verse Reviews" online and they were very mixed. I have Comcast now which requires a monthly customer service call, pretty poor to say the least. I guess I don't want to risk switching from bad to so so. At&T and Comcast are notorious for terrible customer service. I guess until a company comes along that just really stands out, I'm stuck.
  18. I have never understood the punishment of suspension. If a kid is brazen enough to sexually harass another student, I doubt punishing him to sit at home and play video games, talk on the phone and watch tv will turn him into a new person when he returns. I know it's in the hand book so it's at least one thing to follow, but it's a lame ass punishment for any violation of you ask me. Some will say that the parents should make the kid do certain things while out of school, suuuuuurrrree. Yeah , I'm sure the parent of the year with the child of the year will certainly get on that one right away.
  19. It's been my experience that when someone's favorite player goes down from a brutal hit, the "can't take the heat get out of the kitchen" talk ceases. When it's their own kid being carried off the field, the anger and silence is two fold. Trust me, I know fans personally who love the tough talk, until the tables are turned. I'm all about old school smash mouth football, but it doesn't mean you have to play dirty.
  20. The story is a case of a overzealous wanna be murdering a young boy. However I see now the sensationalism is setting in and there are those that will see what they want. Maybe we hear what we want, but what I hear on that recording at 2:21 is F--ing Punks. I'm sure the guy has used a few descriptive words in his lifetime about different races, but at that moment, I hear punks. Punks doesn't make the news though. It's quite ironic that in a case of a suspected hate crime, a hate group will be protesting outside the court house. I also don't understand how the killer had obtained a fire arm with
  21. Anytime someone would rather do something harsh and mean to another human being rather than show them rainbows and treat them to ice cream, I hear people say, "Oh they are mentally insane." Sorry some humans just pure F--- evil. Has nothing to do with being mentally unstable, it's just a case of lust, greed, and hate translating into a way to solve the problem for them. Excuses excuses excuses. That's all this country wants to do is become the United States of Excuses. We need to grow a pair and stand up for our faults and stop finding blame for crimes like this one. There's no reason this bas
  22. Another Awful House, man oh man. I wonder if they have any biscuits for sale in there?
  23. Thanks for the advice. I've been searching for a fresh seafood market for a long time. I grew up in Savannah and have to have it a few times a month. When I moved to Atlanta, I couldn't believe a city this size didn't have a REAL seafood market. Sorry farm raised from Thailand is NOT fresh seafood. Maybe I can finally find some decent fillets and some good shell fish.
  24. Every time I see a story on one of our military men or women who are gay, I think about the training they have passed and the combat experience they have. Then it brings to mind all of the nicknames I've heard over the years , pansy, sissy, etc and I just can't pin names like that on those men and women. I doubt some of the people who drop those titles on gay people could handle the training required. As far as the picture, I use my same old life long adage, live and let live. I don't believe it's mine or the government's responsibility to decide who another individual can love, as long as the
