  1. I guess someone needs to get one big ass bottle of white out and go to work on the whole Constitution then. There's quite a few more amendments that are behind the times. Maybe we should all use it for the toilet paper it has become and start over. Infringement means just what it means, INFRINGEMENT. There was no expiration date or fine print on that clause.
  2. Does the same hold true for the 1st Amendment? After all, we now have the internet, texting abilities, hell even tv is new in comparison.
  3. The media sits there and plays saddened , but yet sucks up the ratings like a hoover. They are playing this story every time I flip through the channels. They will interview every person they can from family, to a construction worker who built the damn school, discuss how sad they are and then play the music and show the stuffed animals. Don't tell me they don't know the game they are playing. It's all about the ratings. This killer is getting his wish and so much more, all the media coverage he could have ever wanted, and the audience to watch. I just think it's bad to sensationalize the trag
  4. The Bushmaster AR15 used was a semi automatic rifle. She would have had to obtain approval from local LE as well as ATF, pass an extensive background check, much more detailed than usual, and pay the required tax in order to buy an automatic weapon. This weapon, which most politicians are ignorant to, would be known as an assault rifle, due to the automatic fire capability. But as stated earlier, the Bushmaster AR15 used is a Semi Automatic rifle. Sticking a polymer stock, a flashlight, pistol grip, holographic sight and a 30 round magazine on a semi auto rifle does not make it an "assault ri
  5. The reports on this have been downright confusing and misleading. I've heard his mother was a teacher at the school, was not a teacher, was killed at home, was killed at school, his brother was killed at home, was not killed, used his mother's guns, his brother's guns, there was another shooter dressed in camo that left the scene, there was only one shooter, he shot the victims with the glock and the sig sauer and they found the bushmaster 223 in the trunk, the autopsy showed the victims were shot with the bushmaster instead , and the list goes on and on. I watched one tv report and read a few
  6. A lot of home invasions these days will result in you contacting your insurance agent, to discuss the life insurance policy on your loved ones. After they take what they want, they will take your life, as the thugs in McDonough did this past week when they broke into a couples home and killed the wife. However I respect anyone's choice in their own home, as it's their property and right. I know many people who do not like guns, but support the right to own them. They are a dangerous tool and should be respected. Each person has the right the decide. mcdonough home invasion
  7. The comments made earlier to the affect of one carrying a gun and constantly thinking of using it on a human scares me much more than someone owning multiple weapons. I would never hesitate to defend my family, however that thought is far in the back of my mind and is something that I don't ponder instead choosing to live as peacefully as possible. It seems that the obvious is not what we should fear. Gun shows with hundreds of gun toting Americans? Never a shooting. A large sporting goods store or gun shop? Not likely. It's the gun free zones that have been the crime scene. Yes guns are a too
  8. I hadn't thought about that one but you are right. My favorite drink and I can't buy it at WM, except in certain states. Hell you can't buy any liquor at a WM. But I can buy an AR rifle and rounds of ammo. Kind of a strange law. As far as parents and kids, this goes for relatives in general as well. I've seen this personally where a person was going through a hard time and family members removed weapons from the household until the storm passed. Just shows responsibility.
  9. Within hours of this tragedy I could not believe the anger that was directed at the weapons used rather than the killer himself. For that matter the comments across the internet that exhibited such ignorance about guns and the laws that govern them. Laws are nothing more than words on paper, it takes a citizen with a sound mind and good morals to follow them, as well as harsh punishment for those who do not. By following the laws of CT, there never should have been a one murder at that school. Besides murder itself, no one under the age of 21 can purchase a handgun and no one is allowed on sch
  10. Most of his screen adaptations have been nothing to rave about. That for the most part has not been his fault. I started this audio book a week ago after my wife had suggested I check it out for some time. She had read the book twice and quite frankly I don't read as much as I want. We're both Stephen King fans so that helps to a degree, although I like the story so far. He has a way of delving into characters psyche during a time of crisis, revealing the true character inside. I've always wondered what if a tragedy were to happen, what is the real persona of that person in line next to you th
  11. Want to know how much TSA even cares about these issues? They don't even show up for congressional hearings to answer questions. TSA Skips Hearings
  12. I'll reserve anything related to tonight's episode for spoiler alert reasons. Without further a do. Would someone please throw Andrea to the Walkers! I would love to see her character end by her arrogant, ignorant, bitch, trampy a-- thrown to a horde of Walkers. Michonne on the other hand is a bad a--, one woman I would want on my side in that situation. Can't believe we have to wait until February to see another episode!
  13. If you type in Ipad TSA into Google, you will find multiple stories of stolen Ipads by TSA agents. It's a shame that as Americans our valuables can be stolen by the government's own agents while we are being searched all in the name of security. My wife and I have learned also that anything of value purchased on a trip should not be put with checked luggage but shipped home via one of the major shipping companies. We've had bottles of expense cologne, perfume, jackets, jewelry, and yes even underwear go missing from checked luggage. The violation you feel when you open your luggage upon your arr
  14. I love the whole cheerleader routine that assclown always does, especially last night when he said they owned the NFC South and "they" know it. Yeah well he should have taken out a bounty on a TD pass, maybe he would have had better results. Not a better team in the NFL to bring that streak to an end than the Falcons. Hope they go home and watch the playoffs from the same position as I do, my butt. Da Saints Aint All Dat! Go Falcons!
  15. What's so sad in this day and time is that someone pushing 500 damn pounds is not looked upon as a person needing immediate change rather than a victim. There had to be a point, maybe the 250 mark, hell let's say the 350 mark, when someone said, you may want to stop gaining weight. Airlines have restrictions as to what they can carry and I would say a 400 plus pound passenger would probably fit into that category. It's not the airline's fault, it may be the person who had problems refraining from eating. Yes I said it, I'm the jackass with the big mouth. You can name every disease known to man
  16. In my post I was merely referring to the "assault rifle" title given to the weapons being sold at WM. This is a title used loosely by the politicians and media most of the time to describe a weapon that defined by the NFA and ATF does not meet the requirements of an "assault rifle" because of lack of capability of automatic fire. Most media types and politicians have no education what so ever on this subject, which is why this title has stuck so easily. To put it bluntly, if the rifle in question is only capable of semi automatic fire, it is not an assault rifle. Yes civilians can own rifles w
  17. I'm surprised that any WM would sell an assault rifle, with the governmental hoops one needs to jump through to obtain one. You would have to get a NFA stamp and quite a few checks to buy one. Now the rifles I have seen at the Dallas Hwy location are not assault rifles, as they do not have selective fire allowing the weapon to become fully automatic.
  18. All paranoia. I love all types of music and listen to anything from Johnny Cash,Marty Robbins,Neil Young,Allman Bros,Zepplin, Floyd,Rush,Sabbath,Priest,Dio,Maiden to you name it. They have all written songs which are up for interpretation. Artist sometimes actually explain the lyrics, which I've been embarrassed at my own interpretation after listening. But for the most part it seems it's always left up to the listener. I think the version derived depends on the mind that is hearing the song at the time. As far as AC/DC, you forgot the lightning bolt in their name. I once heard someone sp
  19. That's awesome that someone does that for their employees. Obviously a smaller business owner. Looks like some good eatin.
  20. Well now, are we havin us a good ole recerd burnin somewheres? Bunch of dope smokin, rockin roll heathens and their debil music!
  21. I love the way the old hag exhibits the government mentality by wanting the truck owner to justify owning a truck like the one he is driving. I'm sure if the tables were turned and someone were to come up to her fat ass at the next fast food drive thru and ask her to justify why she is buying that big juicy burger, she would be po'd. Reminds me of a South Park episode "Smug Alert"
  22. Let's not forget we're talking about a team with the best record in the NFL, 8 and 1. Yes I hate we lost to the NO Bounty Hunters, but the season is far from over. Hell, Sean Payton and I watched the game from the same position today, on our a--ess! Say what you want the Falcons are a team to reckoned with in 2012.
  23. Which is exactly why when I'm sitting in one lane of traffic on a two lane road going 4 miles per hour so crews can build side walks and decorative concrete walls in the middle of BFE, I have an attitude when asked to vote on a tax increase for road projects. They have enough money, they just should not have used it on sidewalks and walls in places that make no damn sense. I really would like to treat the government like I treated my kids when they were younger. Here's $20 for the weekend. Now you can spend it all in 30 minutes or make it last for two weeks, but it's all you're getting, so you
  24. For the sake of argument, we could start installing sidewalks on every road without one in the immediate area. Because obviously if you don't see anyone walking there it's only because it's unsafe. Maybe it's because it's a rural area and people drive to where they want to go. There may not be any businesses within what many would consider "walking distance" so therefore people just don't walk. Next time I am driving on the out skirts of PC and see no one walking, should I wonder if it's because people don't feel safe? I like to use common sense and know that people just don't want to walk.
  25. I travel Macland everyday and for years upon years I have seen more turkeys, racoons, opossums, deer and misc stray dogs walking down the side of Macland between the stretch of 92 and Old Lost Mountain than I have ever seen people. So why in the hell do we need sidewalks with decorative brick design going along side the new widening? Is it to entice the critters that live in the area to walk on the sidewalk and keep from becoming road kill? It seems to be the new way to waste money in road construction these days, take a ride down Barrett Pkwy between 120 and 41. Rip up the trees do some
