  1. They can explain away all they want to, there is no deep psychological explanation for why someone is called a liberal. It boils down to their way of approaching every situation throughout the day and how they conduct their life. It even goes as deep as how they view life. But when it relates to the subject of guns, the original subject, it really has shown, in my discussions, that they are very misled and extremely ignorant of this tool.
  2. It's ironic that the catch phrase of the year was used. I don't think, I know ,that there are people that use terminology and images to sway the public to believe one way or the other as to what problem lays at their doorstep. Until the real issues are tackled, such as the culture which breeds the criminal, the court system that mother's them, placing blame on an inanimate object will not solve the problem of crime.
  3. Terminology is one of the tools being used by the anti gunners to sway the argument, so as long as incorrect labels are used by the propaganda machine, we have a problem. Anything gun control is suddenly "gun violence", and yes semi auto rifles are incorrectly labeled assault rifles. But never ever label a mentally ill person with a gun a lunatic, psychotic, crazy or a nut. We have to soften those labels instead of making them scarier. So no the point of the anti gunners is not to divert, but to muddy the waters and utilize double speak as a weapon against the 2nd amendment.
  4. As far as a gun being used to kill ones self being used in the anti gun argument, we can go into an array of instruments from pharmaceuticals, razors to ropes to cars. So let's throw that one out now. I am absolutely convinced that a huge part of the anti gun problem in America is ignorance of the tools themselves. I hear it in discussions, forum posts, radio call ins, media reports you name it. What's so damn funny is that the people on the anti side choosing to educate have no clue either, so it's stupidity being passed down the line. When it comes to 10 round magazines or 30 round
  5. It's all about feeling WARM AND FUZZY INSIDE, don't ya know! The whole myth of the gun show loop hole is exactly that, a freakin myth. FFL dealers at these shows are required to have a purchaser fill out the paperwork just as if they were inside of a normal gun shop. The media wants you to believe that somehow some way, that a person can go to these traveling arsenals and purchase anything from an automatic rifle to an M-1 tank. It's all a lie, created by the propaganda machine. Yes a person can go to a gun show and sell their own personal gun to another individual in the same state by law
  6. After reading deeper into the story, it's apparent that the entire damn town is corrupt, from law enforcement, prosecutors, coaches, down to the teachers. If there are people in that town that are sick of this disease, now is the time to stand up to these bastards and take it back.
  7. Males such as these have deemed themselves worthless in society and a danger to the well being of others. At the very least the body parts used to commit their crimes should be removed. Our country spends billions on a war to prosecute and house "criminals" who violate drug laws. Yet sexual assaults, which is a crime that directly affects the victim in a physical and mental way for life, are way down the list in importance. Our women and children should be at the top of our priority in this country when it comes to protecting. If we choose to house or even release the men who harm them, back o
  8. This is ironic that Lincoln and his northern counter parts would get behind a document so whole heartedly and denounce slavery against a certain people, when just 2 years earlier they came close to making slavery constitutional law. Lincoln didn't seem to be too much against it then either when he spoke about the Corwin Amendment during his inaugural address in 1861: "I understand a proposed amendment to the Constitution—which amendment, however, I have not seen—has passed Congress, to the effect that the Federal Government shall never interfere with the domestic institutions of the States
  9. Every time something like this happens a big spot light has to be placed on a private business owner. Big freakin deal. He's a private business owner, it's his convictions, let him deal with the consequences. Just allow capitalism to take place and sort things out. If I were operating a business I think it would be crazy not to do business with someone just because of who they find sexually attractive. As long as they are law abiding good people who pay me, I could care less. But it's not my business.
  10. I had to read this one a few times. Never been told by a mod that my post was stupid. I wonder what the results would be if the shoe were on the other foot. As long as these are the rules we play by and from here going forward we can call open season on stupid post, no matter the person's position on this board,or who's favorite, let the games begin. I however have found it much better for the sake of debate, to attack the point being made in the post, not the content or person. As far as the boat, well yes my boat carries quite a few other Americans and it floats just nicely. We fly a c
  11. I tend to think that the love and passion that some people have for destroying the 2nd amendment is a little on the treasonous side.
  12. It will never end. If guns were illegal and he had killed with a hammer, you people would force this one step beyond and say how many people would he had killed if hammers were illegal. If he had only been able to get his hands on a rock, there would have been less death. It would never end with this group.
  13. I think in the realm of crime, murder happens where murderers exist. This can be ANYWHERE. You can choose to defend yourself against them with anything you like, a rock, stick, a harmonica and guitar with a rendition of khumbia, or simply choose to lie down and die. There are those however that choose to defend themselves, and the most effective weapon would be a gun, against someone wielding a gun. The murderer has rights once he has killed his first victim, miranda rights, right to a trial by jury and the list goes on. I at least have the right to defend myself, as do those teachers.
  14. This is the arrogance being displayed by the propaganda machine. Treating gun owners like sexual offenders, although owning a gun is perfectly legal. This will come back to bite them in the ass, as I'm sure someone get as much personal information as possible on the newspaper staff and plaster it everywhere. Picking a fight, as they have done, is sometimes a bad idea.
  15. I'm waiting for the beat to death response.... If we did things like they do in the UK, the worst he could have done was to get a baton from one of the cops and "Bop" him on the head! See they don't have this problem. Blah blah.
  16. Ironic too that the man was a paroled killer who murdered his grandmother with, not a gun, but a hammer! Proving if a killer is motivated they will use whatever they can get their hands on. Second of all, any state that allows a man back out onto the streets who beat a 90 year old woman to death with a hammer, has to take some of the blame in this as well. I don't care about the length of a sentence.
  17. I have come to a point in reading articles on guns in general, where one exposure of ignorance on the subject by the poster or the journalist and I simply skip over the next. I knew that Americans were inexperienced with guns, generally because not everyone owns one or has been exposed to them. But in the past year it has come to my attention that they are just simply F stupid when it comes to the subject. The simple fact that one would spout off opinions without having the simple knowledge of a tool, especially when it involves a media outlet, shows me either they are F stupid or have an agen
  18. There are also studies, such as one by the National Research Council of the National Academies, that show that most of the guns in these programs are relics, family heirlooms, and old hunting rifles that have been sitting around collecting dust. In some rare cases they were stolen fire arms that couldn't be unloaded on the street, so they do it legally. It does nothing to put a dent in criminal fire arm activity. It does however make a good news story and make everyone just feel so warm and fuzzy down inside.
  19. The word for today is "INGRINGED". On another note. One thing I absolutely hate and is a true indicator of a jackass is when someone makes the statement,"Why do you need BLANK?" When "BLANK" is a legal object. If it's , why do you need a house so big, why do you need a car so fast, why do you need so much land, and especially when it's a constitutional right that is mentioned. I've been asked this myself, about anything from my house to the size of my damn tv. And yes that 2nd amendment also, my guns. My response? I don't need these things always, I want them. But what I do need is
  20. My opinion on this subject has evolved throughout the thread. Of course my first thought was to ban the assault tvs as someone mentioned. Those would be tvs that display a picture with the same quality as any other tv, but have cosmetic features which make them more menacing in appearance, therefore leading to more injuries. Some of them might have larger size screens, LCD, vs LED etc. Then I thought as someone else did, what the hell does someone need a tv with a screen over 13 inches anyway? You see the same information, so ban any tv over 13 inches that would save lives. Now I think we shou
  21. Only difference is the proof. The "moonshine" you'll see in the store, is usually in the 90 proof range. That to me is not real moonshine. It's a mass produced product with a lower percent alcohol than what is traditional shine, which hits in the lower 100 proof to upwards 190. But since moonshine is illegal, store sold legalized "moonshine" is all that be purchased. I have seen the recipe for Apple Pie Shine a few weeks ago, as someone pointed it out to me. I wondered how good it may be.
  22. I am not against ladders themselves, just Assault Ladders. Those would be the ladders that have telescopic and extending sections, which give a person an advantage in certain situations. Also any ladder that has been outfitted with accessories such as a paint tray which make it look more aggressive. The actual material they are made of makes a difference also, aluminum and wood are ok, but when we get into fiberglass, they tend to become more aggressive. Yes I know all of these will allow one to eventually reach a certain height desired to do a task, but the appearance and materials can lead t
