I've had the best luck with Garmin. A lot of people seem to like TomTom.

Should Police and FF be required to stay in shape?
Guard dad replied to solosoul's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Yes. The scope of their jobs can require a certain amount of physical ability. Therefore, they should maintain a reasonable weight and should be required to excerise regularly. Police officers seem to have a bigger (pun intended) problem with being overweight than firemen. Perhaps due to so much time riding in the car? :pardon:But I have always thought this isn't good. Also...being overweight could increase what the taxpayers pay for their insurance benefits. -
You guys have roads near your yards?

Sounds to me like they did a software upgrade and something didn't go just right.

Well, here's the inside scoop. The levels of cadmium are safe and actually far less than what is in children's costume jewelry. A consumer's group is jumping the gun and making this sound like it's way more than it really is. McD is issuing a voluntary recall. Meaning, if you want a recall, contact them and they will replace the item.

All satellite services will experience short outages in the worst of weather; you simply can't get signal through certain natural phenomenons. The only time my DTV goes out is just before major downpour, and then it's only for a minute or two. The instances are so isolated, they are insignificant. Anyone having more trouble than this may have a poor installation or need their dish re-aimed. Dish Network will be more affected by weather than DTV, because it's satellites are lower on the horizon. Dish will also not work in as many areas because it's more affected by trees and buildings due t

DirecTV is the superior provider, hands down. Better technology, better reception due to a higher satellite, far better customer service. I've had their service for over 15 years and they have always treated us very well.

There is a charge for that.

Gas lines fall under the heading of plumbing or HVAC. Both are licensed to work with gas and gas lines. The gas company typically is only responsible up to the meter; the inside lines are your problem. And they are correctly advising you to call someone licensed and qualified to fix the problem. Now...it may be something very simple, or not. But gas is not something you play around with.

Only licensed plumbers or HVAC guys can legally run/service gas lines.

Most of the workout programs will be somewhat effective if done regularly. Some are better than others, but none of them do any good sitting in a DVD rack. And that is where 99% of them end up. And, diet (diet meaning how one eats, not a temporary change) must be an equal player in the game. I've had my successes and failures like everyone else.

You wanna know which program is best? The one you'll stick with and do long term. We have to change our lifestyles of we'll be right back where we were...or worse.

Well, your statement went beyond this one topic and makes it sound like you are picking a side. Sorry if I read you wrong, but it certainly appears that way.
