    Same here. I have a built-in model that's part of a $1400 factory package, and it's terrible. My $200 Garmin Nuvi is waaaay better.

    Major congrats, this is quite an accomplishment in this day and time. Wifey and I will also celebrate our 30th this fall.

    Probably in defrost cycle. Give it an hour and see if it kicks back on.

    First, try unplugging it from the wall to do a hard reboot on it. If that doesn't do it, go into the setup>dish aiming> and try changing transponders. Some transponders will have far more signal strength than others in this area. If it still doesn't work, you've probably lost your aim or broken the center conductor in a cable connector.

    The newer LCD's are almost the equal of a plasmas in sharpness. The LED sets will equal the plasma's picture quality and produce superior brightness too. Plasma is soooo yesterday. DLP's are the best bang for the buck.
