Prices are dropping on plasmas because LED is the new king. As mentioned above, plasmas have an excellent picture, but they don't do well in brighter rooms. And they run hot and give more trouble. Also use lots of energy.

Get a Samsung LCD or LED; plasma is yesterday and they give more trouble than the others. Yes, the 120hz is worthwhile, especially on motion scenes like sports programs. On a screen that large, 1080 is also recommended.

I assume you mean convection oven? All the ones I've been around run the fan continuously while baking.

McDonald's asked me to thank P'Com and it's readers for the tremendous turnout today. The number of applicants far exceeded anything they dreamed of, and getting to everyone was a challenge for them. They brought in additional management to handle the number of folks who turned out, and I'm told that everyone who signed in did get at least a brief interview. They will be sorting through the applications and will be contacting the individuals that will be considered for employment.

The plan was to interview. But from what I'm hearing, they are overwhelmed with applicants, so they might have had to modify the plan. I'll find out later.

Some stayed and were temporarily assigned to other locations. Some chose to leave. Regardless, there are additional positions available. Hiram McDonald's Wifey works in the franchise office. I will pass this along though, I'm sure they will be pleased to read good reviews.

Posting this for wifey. Mods, if this belongs elsewhere, please move as needed. McDonald's is now accepting applications for crew and management for the re-opening of their store in Dallas. Anyone applying for a management position should have a current resume', and experience in fast-food management is preferable. Persons hired for management may also be assigned to other stores in the general area. Please be advised that drug testing and background checks may be required for employment. Interviews will be at the Hiram location (Hwy 92 and Jimmy Lee Smith Parkway in-front of Wa

What I want to know is; did the officer in the rear get a ticket for following too close? Any of us would have gotten cited.

True dat!! The first major heat wave makes the phones ring like crazy. Everyone could save themselves so much grief and money if they'd have their HVAC units serviced ahead of time.

Most common causes are dirty filter, clogged evaporator coil, dirty blower wheel, or thermostat set too low. Being low on charge can indeed cause it. There's a simple test to give you some indication whether or not it's low on charge. This is no substitute for a qualified A/C guy putting gauges on it, but it will help you know which way to go from here. Get the unit totally thawed out, turn it back on and let it run for 15 minutes, and feel of the big copper line outside. It should be cold and sweaty. If not, you may be low on charge. Note: It takes time to thaw a frozen unit. It's n

If you're over weight, the single best thing you can do is lose a bunch of pounds. I have one. When I finally followed my doctor's advice and lose weight, 90% of the hernia symptoms went away. Now I just take a Pepsid every 2 or 3 days and I feel fine. Exercise will also help.
