  1. Everyone is different - just because some people had side effects doesn't mean your father will have them. I took lisinopril several years ago and never had any problem with it.
  2. Actually, there is some reasonable speculation that at least some of those who were wounded were shot by the police. Don't misunderstand me: I think the police on the scene did what they had to do to take the guy out. But if it's true that the cops shot bystanders, it'll be interesting to see Bloomberg defend *that* variety of 'gun violence.'
  3. Heh - you and my sister. I went to South Cobb myself. In the days of disco, and that's all I'm saying.
  4. That was pretty much the consensus on FB as well. I have to wonder if they're angling for a discount on whatever their car repair is going to cost. Yeah, I'm that cynical.
  5. Here's a link with video: http://www.wsbtv.com/news/news/local/father-says-he-found-marijuana-pipe-back-seat-loan/nRJkj/
  6. BTW, one of her signs is still up on Cleburne Pkwy. at the Angham Rd. intersection. Thought you might want to retrieve it for future use.
  7. 'Jesture?' Pubby, you *really* need to use spell check.
  8. My experience is just the reverse. My sister is the *only* person I know who doesn't have a landline phone.
  9. He did post about a bike night last Sunday - whether that's a regular thing or not, I don't know. Their FB page says the place is good for kids, which tells me no smoking. Is that a dealbreaker?
  10. Network series: 'Castle' and 'The Middle.' Reality show: 'Dancing With The Stars.' Public television: 'Masterpiece Theatre' Guilty pleasure: 'Say Yes To The Dress.' Seasonal: College football. My husband liked 'Game of Thrones,' but we hardly ever watch 'premium' cable shows. The Emmys have gotten less and less interesting to me because we never watch the shows that seem to be nominated all the time.
  11. Despite your sorrow on this sad anniversary, I hope you found some moments and memories that made you smile. Those are your husband's gifts to you, that you may know comfort as well as grief. God bless you.
  12. Have you checked with your insurance to see if this is the *only* pain management practice you can use under their plan? I'd find that kind of hard to believe, but I guess it depends on the insurance. We have United Healthcare, and it looks as if every doctor on the planet is affiliated with them. If there isn't anyone else you can see, I would call that office EVERY.BLESSED.DAY - maybe twice a day - to see if they've had a cancellation. One of two things will happen: either they'll have a cancellation and you'll get in sooner, or they'll get tired of you calling and you'll get in soone
  13. Just heard this reported on WSB. Hope no one has been hurt.
  14. They do have a menu on the site - you just need to click on it.
  15. Here's something for you to read while you're recuperating: Enslaved By Ducks Only $1.99 right now on Amazon!
  16. I'm one of the bums who didn't vote. Without going into exhaustive detail, I decided that I would rather pass up the privilege than pass OUT in a public place.
  17. When I was a *very* little girl - probably younger than your son - I stepped on a wasp barefoot. I still remember screaming like I was killed, I remember my mother snatching me up and carrying me inside, and I remember being doctored with moistened tobacco from one of my father's cigarettes. For a long time, I was terrified of being stung, but I *did* outgrow it. I know every person is different, but your son will probably outgrow it, too. I would humor him in his fear of stinging things, but refuse to let him call the shots as far as going outside goes. Maybe you and he and some
  18. Love my Facebook. I refuse, however, to Twit. As for the six-year-old having an FB account, that so-called 'father' is as dumb as a sack of hair. He admitted that he lied to create the account (making his daughter 16 instead of 6) - what did he *think* was going to happen? He also left the protocols open so that she could accept friend requests - once again, HUH?! Does anyone besides me long for the days when people kept their idiocy to themselves instead of calling the news stations and sharing it with *thousands*?
  19. IMO, it has nothing to do with literacy and everything to do with cynicism.
  20. It's DDS - and yes, they do.
  21. Rahm Emanuel said 'Chick-Fil-A's values are not Chicago values.' Thank *goodness*. All the more reason to eat mor chikin, IMO.

    OUCH!

As I recall, I could tell a difference after just a couple of days on the Prednisone. However, once I started tapering down, the pain came back. I hope you have a better result.
