  1. Mt. Tabor and White Oak parks are both nice.
  2. News flash - he isn't supposed to be LIVING here, anyway! He's needs to take his happy @$$ back to Mexico ASAP, and if he isn't prepared to do so, ICE should be ready to assist him with that ASAP. Stories like this drive me freakin' crazy.
  3. I've always thought the elf should make appearances *throughout* the year - whenever the kids do something really bad or really good. You want 'em to behave year-round, not just for one month, right?
  4. As long as ten jillion other teachers don't have the same idea, you could be right.
  5. Do you know the cause of the spasms? Has your potassium been checked?
  6. I liked Charlie Brown and the gang when I was a kid, but haven't watched the specials in years. OTOH, I still *love* 'Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.'
  7. Many years ago, when I was a teenager and still lived with my parents, my father was out of town on Hallowe'en and my mother was reluctant to open the door without him there. She set a bowl of candy on a small table just outside the front door. A little later, we heard a group of kids coming down the driveway. On a whim, I crept into the darkened living room, hunkered down next to the door, and when I heard the kids there, I let out a banshee howl. There was a split second of silence, followed by screams and squeals, then the sound of several pairs of feet pounding away from the house.
  8. I've watched that enough for *several* lifetimes. We're watching repeats of 'Castle' on TNT.
  9. I hate phones *period*. My cell phone is off at least 90% of the time, and if I don't recognize a number at home, I don't answer it ~or~ I hit 'talk' then 'end.'
  10. No fruit sucks like the Big Orange!
  11. Depending on how she shares them, photos can be pretty accessible on the Internet. As for the original question, I've watermarked photos using Paint on Windows - it's just a matter of adjusting the transparency of the text. I've heard that watermarks can be removed if you know what you're doing, though ....
  12. I was watching 'Nightline' a couple of evenings ago, and they actually showed one of their producers being hit with a decent-sized wave. She went down and for a moment was completely submerged before she was able to scramble to her feet and move out of the water. It's just a matter of time until a member of a film crew is killed filming some natural disaster. And we wonder why 'civilians' think it's OK to treat these events like tourist attractions.
  13. You could start with Fret Not, the music store in Hiram. It's on Highway 92, between Hiram-Sudie and Highway 278. We can't post contact info for non-commerce members, but if you do a search for 'Fret Not Hiram,' you'll find their website.
  14. What forms of payment are accepted?
  15. Just remember that cheapest isn't necessarily the best. IMO, you should always research customer satisfaction as well as price when you shop.
  16. Once again, unfriend 'em and it'll stop. It's as simple as that. If you are reluctant to unfriend a dead person, block 'em from your news feed.
  17. As far as Facebook is concerned, the answer is very simple: unfriend that person. Unless your settings allow you to see postings from friends of friends, that should eliminate any posts from or to him/her from your wall.
  18. This time of year, I'd look at the places that do corn mazes - they're open to the public and probably wouldn't have a problem with you taking photographs.
  19. If had to guess, the shared bath is a big turn-off, even for a guy. Most apartments catering to students seem to offer a bath for each bedroom, so that's his competition. If he's willing to come down on the price to compensate for that lack of privacy, it might help.
  20. Prayers for you and your family, LR - you are loved, and we grieve with you.
  21. What in the world is *trunk* or treat?
  22. LR, you and your mother have been on my mind a lot lately. I will continue to pray for her and your family.
  23. Do a search for 'Heather Bussey Atlanta' and you should find her practice. I'd post the link, but we're not allowed to do that for non-commerce members.
  24. If the other person was at fault, why did *her* insurance fail to cover your husband's medical bills? I have to say that you are the first person I have ever heard complain about USAA.
