    I think my mother left me alone at home for the first time when I was around 12 --- happy, happy day! And regarding those subsidized daycare programs ... they're not as common as you might think, nor are they always convenient/easy to use due to their hours, distance, etc. I hope these kids are all right.

    Well, it was mainly intended as an "emergency" contact kind of place --- if you needed to leave a message for someone but didn't have their phone number or e-address --- that kind of thing.

    Sainte Chapelle - Paris, France
    This was taken by my HH on a business trip a week ago. Sainte Chapelle is the ONE place I told him he *had* to visit while in Paris, and he is now in complete agreement with me!

    My favorite 'Tonight Shows' were the ones with Joan Embrey (from the San Diego Zoo) and the animals she brought. No question: Johnny was at his best with the unexpected, and those animals provided him (and us!) with countless unexpected, hilarious moments. Good night, Johnny.
