That episode has already been on once. I felt kind of sorry for the girl after she talked about her mom not being that involved in her wedding planning. The mom doesn't come off too well in that segment.

Now Hugh Laurie can be *funny* again! I'd give anything if he and Stephen Fry would reprise 'Jeeves and Wooster.'

Here's another thing to consider: anything hanging from a rearview mirror can become a missile in the event of an accident. I was involved in a pretty serious auto accident a number of years ago when a gal turned left in front of me and I t-boned her car. At that time I had one of those pretty little glass prisms hanging from my mirror, and the impact sent the prism flying. It was about the size and heft of a 'shooter' marble, and if it had hit me in the eye, I'll bet I would have lost that eye. A parking permit isn't that heavy, of course, but I wouldn't care to have a corner of one hit m

They impede visibility - that alone should cause people to remove them from their mirrors when driving. They also have a tendency to fly out of open windows when a vehicle is in motion.

I take it that the photo you posted is just an *example* of the one you found ... 'cause that one is from Florida.

I used to watch 'House,' but it got all crazy and I lost interest. 'Memphis Beat' was a cool show, so I'm sorry it won't be back. As for the rest, I'd never even *heard* of most of them.

Are the onion rings cut thin, fried crisp and a little spicy? The onion rings at the other new(ish) place were *very* disappointing - fried crisp but had almost no taste.

Sadly, I think CRB is sincere. Scary, isn't it?

I presume he's getting paid. But honest to God, he's even creepier than the life-size plastic King they were using for a while. ::shudder::

Kindle Fire OR The Nook OR just continue buying the real book?
Riograce replied to gtfamily's topic in RECENT TOPICS
As far as I know, at least the library *buys* the books before they put 'em in circulation. -
I remember hearing some talk about that when Real ID was first discussed, but I haven't heard anything about it recently.

This has finally started to appear on some of the news outlets and in the AJC, but I thought I'd bump it up for the folks here who haven't yet heard. Remember, y'all: even if your license doesn't expire for several more years, IF you were to lose it or have it stolen after 1 July, you *will* have to present the documents outlined on the DDS link I provided in the OP to replace it. Best to go ahead and make sure that wouldn't be an issue for you by having the necessary docs in hand NOW. Your Friendly Neighborhood License Examiner (retired)

I really think you'd like the Lands End suits. They're a little cheaper than the ones mentioned at the department stores, the quality is fantastic, and they make several different fits (regular, petite, long torso), and at least a couple of different cuts of the leg. I haven't bought any other brand of suit in years. Check out their website and see what you think!

I never watched it - only saw the commercials - but I kinda doubt it was a 'guy' kind of show.

TV Shows of People from Paulding..................
Riograce replied to Mrs G's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Yeah, I saw that show last night. She definitely came off as spiteful and bitchy at first, but when it was revealed that her mom was less-than-involved with the wedding planning, I felt sorry for her. I can't help but feel that that show is going to lead to some, uh, conversation among those who know this girl and her mother. -
Hiram Post Office ALMOST closing in July

You're lucky. The first carrier we had here was *great*, but the one (or ones) who replaced her have been sub-par, to say the least. Packages crammed in the box when they should have been brought to the porch, leaving notes for registered packages with NO attempt made to bring them to the door, NOT leaving notes for registered packages (thank goodness for Internet tracking, or I wouldn't have known they were waiting for pick-up!), and mis-delivering packages. This last caused me to call the national USPS number and start an investigation. -

I thought USPS would pick up packages at your home ... if you have a good relationship with your carrier, have you considered doing that? -
Never watched it - not my genre. But ABC *did* renew 'The Middle,' 'Revenge,' 'Happy Endings,' 'Body of Proof,' and most importantly, 'CASTLE!'

You've got that right, which is another reason I'd like to see Phillip win and not one their two pets. Petty, I know, but I don't care.

Your mail carrier would be wrong. My experience has been exactly the opposite: numerous problems with the Hiram PO and none with Dallas. In fact, when I have an important package or letter and I want to be reasonably sure it will be handled correctly, I drive waaay out of my way to go to the Dallas PO rather than go the two miles to the Hiram PO. If I want to be *absolutely* sure, I use UPS.
