  1. You seem to be the Superman of the kitchen. I so wish you would start a cooking school.
  2. Hmmm. I was going to suggest EBooks but when I saw someone suggested the BookWorm I backed out. I thought it wouldn't be a good idea to suggest against one of PCom's advertisers. By the way, I love everything Mark Twain. Trivia: Without Googling, what does "Mark Twain" mean?
  3. I love my crock pot and I use it almost non-stop in the fall and winter. I've just put in a beef roast. I covered it with a can of Campbell's Healthy Harvest Onion Soup and an additional can of water. I sprinkeled it with some meat tenderizer and called it done. About 4:00 I'll make some Ranch mashed potatoes and roast some veggies. I made some yeast roll dough the other day and froze it so I'll set some rolls out and let them rise. I just love my crock pots. They make making supper so easy.
  4. I don't know but all the road construction and ditch digging is driving us crazy. It seems like they are re-designing something just to re-design it again 6 months later. For goodness sakes. If they're going to do something I wish they'd just do it right and complete the first time, do it quickly, and be done with it.
  5. Looks good. I did something similar on the inside of my bathroom cabinet doors and bathroom closet door. You must be feeling better.
  6. Timers and motion sensors. I have motion sensors in my laundry room, closets, and bathrooms. I don't have to worry about anyone forgetting to turn off those lights. My mom has a 7 day timer on her electric hot water heater. It turns off while she is at work Monday through Friday. Programmable thermostat. There's no reason to heat or cool your home whtn you're not there. Drapes. Open them in the winter to let the heat in and close them in the summer to keep the heat out. Use the library! So many people forget about how easy it is to check out a book or movie for FREE
  7. Not me! I've been sleeping with the windows open. I LOVE it.
  8. I'm a republican and there's no way you could get me to vote for Deal. I can't bring myself to vote for Barnes either. I'll vote on all the other issues but leave the Governor blank.
  9. All your recipes leave out the vinegar. I put a good splash of apple cider vinegar in mine to give it that extra pucker power.
  10. Yes, it is horrible pain. The only thing to ease mine was prescriptions and rest. The Dr. gave me an anit-inflamatory, a muscle relaxer, and pain medication. Some flare ups took me a week to get over while others took me a month. Go to the Dr. and get treated before it gets worse. Hint: I used to have flare ups two or three times a year. My Dr. suggested I stop carrying a heavy purse. I switched to a backpack purse and I haven't had a flare up in four years. They're ungy and out style but that's OK. I'm not hurting. Even though heat feels wonderful, remember ice helps ta
  11. There were 2 separate incidents.
  12. We dated almost 3 years. We're in our 16th year of marraige.
  13. It is PERFECT outside. This is the best reason for having a laptop.
  14. Hiram's band were great. As a parent on the North side I will gladly tell you we were rocking and wiggling to your music. Your cheerleaders never stood still. They were always performing. Another great job. Great game all the way around.
  15. No concrete plans yet. My kids want to go to the football game. I don't feel comfortable with them going by themselves yet so I'll probably end up taking them. I'm in the mood to stay home and simply exist. If I had my preference I would escape to the back porch with a bottle of wine and the new James Patterson book.
  16. Save the pictures to your computer. You will find comfort in knowing you have the pictures. My father passed 2 yars ago. People from all over sent me thumb drives of his pictures and videos. I haven't found the strength to look at them all yet. I am comforted to know that the pictures are ready when I am.
  17. Yes, that's me. I had just come off the courts and you had just come from your garden. I found a pic of Nancy Grace in black leather. I tried to post it but PCom doesn't like the extension.
  18. If the company is local I wouldn't deal with making a phone call. I would find out who the manager is and walk right into his office and make myself at home. After all his employees came into your home un-invited. I asked what you've done because it inerests me how some companies will go to all lengths to keep a customer and some couldn't care less.
  19. So what have you done to contact the business and get this straightened out?
  20. Actually, I live in the North district and I voted NO on the original SPLOST. At that time the North area was growing by leaps and bounds while our schools were busting at the seams. BUT people knew that when they moved in. Sure, I wanted new and uncrowded schools for my kids but I did not feel it was the rest of the county's responsibility to pay for it. As a citizen I decided to place my vote on what I felt was in the best interest of the whole county instead of a small area. The vote failed then it was re-done and passed. I will say I am glad to know that additions and renovations
  21. Coach Friday at Marietta took in troubled or homeless kids all the time. The whole school and community considered him a hero.
