That is my #1 problem with Richt (and the Athletic director/office above him). Way too many of UGA's players are getting in trouble and I don't see a whole lot being done about it. If you're more careful about who is recruited and you pull out the big guns (huge consequences) when you mess up, behavior will change. So, yes, I do hold him ultimately responsible for all of the trouble surrounding the players. Apparently, GA is recruiting and playing any old thug who can run, throw, and or tackle so we should at least be winning games.

Comcast is not great, but AT&T is almost to the level of Satan in its evil dominion. I once fought AT&T and even had the BBB on them for adding/charging for services I did not request (padding the bill) and then making it near impossible to get them off. I had a manager at the corporate level call me and he did not even deny that it was a common business practice of theirs to do that, he just disagreed with me that it was wrong to do it. Can you believe that?

Trust me, from first hand experience the basic "cheap" internet service through AT&T is so slow that it buffers every few seconds when watching Youtube. I can't even watch Netflix or Hulu from home. It doesn't always start out this way, but AT&T has a tendency to slow things down so you will upgrade to a higher service. It is not my computer. My computer was fine when I used Wifi at Starbucks or other places.

So Obama wants to spend money on upgrading schools...
Mariposa replied to jazzygirl's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I think a lot of people are assuming things that are not clearly stated by this post. 1. You can not assume that Science is not being taught in Kindergarten in Paulding or that the standards are being ignored because of this one post. She may not have even said that Science is not in the standards, but may have said that these supplies do not fit what is being taught in the standards. If you look at the Science standards for Kindergarten, they are very basic level information. In fact, I think much of Science and SS at that level is taught through their reading and not at a separate time. -

Let me add that MANY science teachers buy supplies out of their own pockets all year long in order to do science labs in class. There are very limited budgets in the county for this. -

Middle school science teachers would love to have some supplies as long as they can provide enough for the 150+ kids they teach each day!!! -
I would think that the coroner could declare someone deceased, but I know when a family member died at home in hospice care, the ambulance took him to the ER to be officially declared deceased. I think a doctor has to do it.

I am a teacher and there are parts of the job I love and parts of the job I hate. Its not the first job I've felt that about. Most of us get in the profession to teach kids, but that ends up being only a small part of the job. Its all of the other "stuff" (paperwork, discipline, extra duties, data collection, teaching standards that should NOT be in the curriculum,...) I understand the burn-out and I understand those who love the job. Most of us fall somewhere in the middle depending on the year or even day. I also don't think teachers are alone in job frustrations and pay cuts. Y

Am I the only one who read the Paulding neighbor?
Mariposa replied to footballbeerchic's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I'll take that over half-empty strip malls, apartments full of hoodlums (not everyone), falling apart sub-divisions, half completed developments, water woes, and a court-house that makes absolutely no sense. P.S I'm not new to the county. -
Made me LOL

Pcom's story on the Atlanta Film Studios

I have ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEM with a movie studio being built in this county. I have a problem with taxpayer money being used to do it. -
Pcom's story on the Atlanta Film Studios
Mariposa replied to gpatt0n's topic in Paulding County NEWS
I think going back to Isabella and Ferdinand is a bit of a stretch with them being monarchs, not answering to tax payers, and the money being more of their own money than "government" money as with our government...but ok, there is an argument to be made that some of our former county officials acted in a similar fashion. Most of the other examples you listed above are infrastructure that benefits most or all of the citizens like roads. They are not risky projects. Electricity and city water/sewer were not pioneered by Dallas, and it was not much of a risk involved in investing in those th -
I understand why they don't know phone numbers and addresses like we did...BUT.. for safety reasons by middle school they should know their address and have at least 2 phone numbers memorized. When they get old enough that they are not within eyesight of a parent/adult at all times, they should be able to give contact information or call an adult if something happens to their phone.

I know earlier post has stated that they didn't care for House of Lu, but I've always had a good experience. Its not the best I've ever had, but the best around here. Mizu is ok, too. DO NOT go to the place near Home Depot or the one at Kroger on 61/278--ick

But most of those were built with private money, not taxpayer money. If P.com fails, you are on the hook. If it makes money, you get the rewards. Its much different when all of this is being built with taxpayer money and someone else gets the rewards, IF there are ANY. Either way, the taxpayer is on the hook. -
FYI Many of my 6th graders... (Many do, but many do not!!!) do not know their address have no phone numbers memorized do not know they live in Paulding County do not know the name of their state, country, etc (they've heard the names but get mixed up on which is state, county, country, etc) can't tell the months in order can't read an analog clock I have done a basic information quiz for the past 2 years and they tell me they haven't covered that info since kindergarten

I had something really bad for a couple of days earlier this week. It wasn't just cramping with bouts of actual sickness, it was actually being sick for hours and hours. As bad as it was, I figured it was some kind of food poisoning but there are only a couple things that no one else ate but me. Neither of those would be something you would normally suspect. I don't know if its a bug or food poisoning, but if you have what I had...bad stuff sorry

Yes and I loathe the little boogers. I think they have become immune to everything and you just can't kill the little blood suckers.

I'm hard to fit too for different reasons. If budget is more of an issue than time, you can try the narrow shoes on at the store to check fit and then search for a cheaper deal and order them on line.

I've been suckered in before...NOT this time.

Can I request sweets, especially chocolatey things that are full flavor with zero chance of adding poundage to my butt????? Is that too much to ask???? I will pay you lots of money if I you can do that!!!!

Harvard University Dr.Says Parents Of Obese Children
Mariposa replied to Eddie Bennett's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Ok I have not read MOSt of the posts so this may be a repeat of something said previously I disagree that parents of obese children should lose custody. That said, many obese children experience severe health issues, some even life threatening. If an underlying medical issue, or a medical problem that comes about as a result of the obesity is not being addressed, then interventions need to be made to make sure that medical neglect is not occurring. For example, if a child has diabetes as a result of the obesity and is being fed a diet that consists of 90% McDonald's french fries (tr -
Check the rules first. Sometimes they are not allowed or there are restrictions about which ones you can use.

Oh! and just let me add... maybe her figure is a little larger, but just how does her level of education and accomplishments stack up against those other two women? You just make me mad!
