  4. Giving welfare to those with a drug habit does not keep their kids out of foster care or make sure the kids get cared for. If they can control the habit enough to pay for the necessities and still buy drugs, then they can control it enough not to do drugs. If they can't control it enough, the kids aren't getting cared for anyway. Our system is already over-run with drug abuse, esp meth. What other HORRIBLE things do you foresee?

  11. I think your link is for a naturalized US citizen holding/giving up citizenship. They may or may not have to give up citizenship to their home country if naturalized. It does not give information for a US born citizen who is a citizen of that country. So he knows that in advance that he might have to show proof of citizenship, he should be prepared with it.   13. Who gives up US citizenship? I only know of dual citizenship. You can be a citizen of another country and retain US citizenship. To get that license, they need prove they are in the country legally. So a license is pretty good evidence of citizenship or legal status. I'm not sure how often or easy these requirements are circumvented, but that would be a separate issue with the DMV.   22. As a legal citizen of the US, I am required to have my driver's license with me any time I drive plus proof of insurance. I don't go anywhere without it. I'm always lugging that darn purse around or at least sliding my wallet in a pocket because I'm supposed to do it. When I am out of the country, I carry my wallet with me at all times with some type of ID. I did carry my passport, but that's a good tip to carry the visa instead.
