The at-home is much better unless there are no other options, just from my experience with a family member.

I thought they said the mom failed a lie detector test. Is this true? (maybe she refused one??) I hope she was taken and is alive and well, being taken care of by a crazy person, but still cared for, at least.

Oh wow! I haven't experienced that since I was 15 and worked in a tiny store. I don't even have time to pee for almost 8 hours. Can I send you some papers to grade? How are you with writing middle school lesson plans and responding to parent emails? I would read a great novel.

Halloween Theme: Bankers Face Pumpkin Heads

I predict to see some smashing pumpkins in the future and I don't mean the band. -
I get so sick of people talking about obesity as some horrible crime. I am obese and if that is the worst thing anyone can say about me, well that's just fine. There are MANY more horrible things a person can be than obese...DANG. There are worse health choices to make. Genetics play a role in my weight and my own choices play a big role, BOTH is the answer. I would like to lose weight and be healthier, I have lost weight, gained it back, etc. Some times are better than others, since I am a stress eater. I'm fat, but my life is not ruined!!!!

My sister had a horrible experience at Cobb (could have sued)and had her second at Northside. Her second was elevated risk and she was told, at that time (10 years ago), Northside was the best around if there were complications.

I've heard of using smoked turkey legs instead of fatback/ham hocks but I haven't tried it personally. I've also used beef broth, but its not as good. I just eat Lucks Pintos, just cheap and easy.

1. Noah???? I wonder if we should all be preparing for a flood? 2. Maybe a rich developer who lost it all except the yacht so he's planning on living in it until the economy improves???? 3. "They" really did build a reservoir in those secret tunnels and its so big you can sail a yacht in it???? I'll bet there's a secret entrance in either the courthouse or the airport.

You should get your own airsoft and shoot back.

Georgia Heritage is a wonderful local bank. They are focused on customer service and I've never had a bad experience there. They do have 24 hour call/online service, but you can also call and talk to a person at the local bank. The only drawback is that there aren't a lot of locations. Luckily, it is close and convenient for me. If you're close to one of the locations, you should definitely look into it.

Anybody else see how much our Female Representive owes in taxes

Oh really??? Howard Maxwell, David Austin, Boyd Austin (and others) How have they been in trouble with the law? I do share your frustrations with some candidates, but not ALL -

I thought she was the Republican candidate, not necessarily the "Tea Party" darling. She did not have my vote. -
I don't agree with him on this and do not believe it is biblical. I'm with the others in wondering what in the world he is thinking, he's way off base. In my mind though, he doesn't quite fit in the same category as some of the the other infamous tel-evangelists listed.
-
I think some of you are being a little overly harsh on both Pat Robertson and especially Jerry Falwell by lumping them in with the likes of Jim Baker and Jimmy Swaggart and many of the other granny -money milking tel-evangelists who have had huge moral failures. You may not like what they preach and teach or believe in their ministries but they have not been caught up in shady financial dealings and huge moral failures with wild women like many other of the tel-evangelists. Jerry Falwell was known for crossing the pulpit over into the religious right political issues. He was more co

Nope, been going on for years and years!!!!

Drive thru there from time to time and you will see a lot goings on. Its a bad area and getting worse. I'm sure most of those folks do have long records, but its not deterring them from the current behavior. I don't think we're disagreeing on what's happening, maybe its just the wording.
-
This is not new to that area. Things have been going on for years out in the open at that "motel" and the neighborhood around and behind it. I've seen open drug deals going on in the middle of the street. There seems to be little fear that anything will be done to them.

Tuna salad on crackers...no cooking for me most nights

LOL Why did I get a negative for this??? I only meant that he is always posting such wonderful sounding food he cooks, he could probably "sweet-talk" them with the food. WOW

Maybe if you cooked for the Bd of Commissioners they would change their minds on the court stuff

So Obama wants to spend money on upgrading schools...
Mariposa replied to jazzygirl's topic in RECENT TOPICS
OMG What's not to understand? Obama bought a cookie sheet and sent it to a kindergarten teacher for science, but she took it home instead because she is a liberal and doesn't even know how to wipe her own butt, and she is sleeping with TP! And Subby is a D student. And I made someone mad. And we didn't agree, exactly. Actually, I think GD is sleeping with TP, or someone accused them of it. And Pubby will be mad that I repeated the Liberal comment. -

So Obama wants to spend money on upgrading schools...
Mariposa replied to jazzygirl's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I agree it was not the best thing to do. I'm just looking at it from a practical standpoint. I doubt the intent was there to convert school property for personal use or waste resources. It was probably more of an issue of too little space to store extra stuff, so what do I do? What would you do if you were given a box of things you don't need, had no storage available, and did not know any teachers who could use what you were given? It sounds like everyone else received a box, too. If I were given a box of school supplies that contained a box of aluminum foil, I would have no use for t -
So Obama wants to spend money on upgrading schools...
Mariposa replied to jazzygirl's topic in RECENT TOPICS
That's ridiculous. It is not her job to plan around a box of supplies that she did not request. She has plans in place and set standards to teach, and if these do not fit into those plans/standards, it is irresponsible make special plans just to use random supplies. She already has a long list of special considerations to take into account when planning lessons. Taking them was not the best choice, but she probably does not have time to go around finding out who needs them. If that box were given to me, I would have zero use for any of those items. If I didn't know who might need them, they -
