  1. It helps, even with fleas, but you still get some bites, just not as many.
  2. I went to a local McD the day after the boil water alert. I had a coupon for a free coffee. I asked first where the water came from for the coffee. She said out of the machine. I asked again if it was boiled or clean water going in the machine. She answered again, annoyed.."Its fine its out of the machine" I asked if they knew about the boil water alert and she insisted that it was ok the coffee is" out of the machine" I told them never mind on the coffee and left. I imagine they are the machines that have the water going in automatically so they were serving the unboiled tap water. I
  3. During cold season, we would go through one whole box before the end of the day. I finally had to put it out of sight and have students ask when they needed one. Remember middle school and high school teachers usually see at least 100 students per day and some over 150.
  4. The team that hires him gets the disappointment that's coming to them. The Falcons stupidly lost a lot of money and time on him and I predict someone else will, too. It may not be dog fighting, but it will be something. Its not just Vick, if teams keep pumping millions into these athletes with obvious issues, they deserve what they lose. Pro sports should wise-up or put more stringent terms in contracts about how their actions off the field could affect pay on the field. Its all about money and if the money doesn't go to the thugs, steriod users, wife abusers, etc, then athletes will be h
  5. :D That is funny, but I think they meant a medical issue causing the issue instead of a wreck or other accident involving injury (the stating the obvious is funny, not that someone was life flighted...prayers for them)
  6. I'm sure the DOT was working as much as they could. I can't believe they didn't delay school or cancel for students and have staff report late. That would have been the safe thing to do.
  7. The school USED to close more when I was growing up, because there were more dirt roads and rural areas (and we used to get more snow) I don't know if they will or won't but as much as it rained/snowed there will be standing water in some areas. Main roads will be perfectly clear, but not ALL roads are main roads. We still have many back roads and low lying areas. There may be standing water or wet areas that freeze. I doubt school will be closed for teachers/staff, but there is a chance students will not report if some areas are icy. I just hope they are thorough with checking all roads
  8. I remember Mrs. Fleeman from Dallas Elementary. Her family will be in my prayers.
