What kind of cars do you guys have? We just went through this with DD's car (2001 Pontiac Grand Am) - put almost $1,000 in parts on her car and it still isn't fixed.

Me too! I like to enjoy Thanksgiving but the day after is a different story!

LADY RAIDER!!!!!

Hi, Darlene I am assuming but just want to confirm - these would be tax deductible donations, correct? I have some clothes that I need to donate - just not sure I can get them together before tomorrow nite.

Better watch out LR - remember the person who got trampled to death last year, I believe? You might be better off waiting to see the fights on the evening news

My hubby has had two back surgeries - one was a laminectomy and discectomy (sp??) and the second was lumbar fusion with hardware. He is already in bed but I will have him send you a PM tomorrow nite if he gets home in time.

My DH sometimes says he is going to lay some cable or going to drop the kids off at the pool.

My DH said he would buy the Ga throw if it had a gator on the grill... -
I think you need another adult along to help out - with that being said -I will be available all of next summer - when do we leave? PS - Without a doubt I would take the trip!!!

Aww how sweet! You know, I think I would go ahead and frame it anyways....

My hubby calls them "statistics"...... -
Maybe send a PM to Friendly Geek (I believe that's the computer guru's name on here). He probably could tell you how to resolve it pretty quickly.

That's true - doesn't really take very long to get there. I think we will probably still work toward that dream for when we retire - by then, the Grandson will be close to his teenage years and we might be thankful that we are far away...

Ooh, I have my great-aunt's brunswick stew recipe that is awesome, although I have never personally made it myself - just ate it when she did the cooking. I think I'll try it in the next week or so. Thanks for the idea TP!

Ya' gotta love that ballpark Frito Chili Pie.... We have that fairly often around my house - sometimes with venison and sometimes with ground chuck.

I always use chicken breast which gives a richer broth (at least we think so...) and I usually roll my dough but have on ocassion just dropped it by spoonsful into the broth. They don't come out exactly "round" but they are more like balls than the traditional flat dumplings.

You just can't beat Nantahala and the Smoky Mountains. The hubby and I have seriously talked about moving to NC - especially after we retire but now we have the Grandson - not sure I can move too far away from him...he is the light of my life right now. Those are gorgeous pictures! Makes me want to take off this weekend.....

So who has their Thanksgiving dinner planned out?
msflyfisher replied to Lady Raider's topic in RECENT TOPICS
You know, for my family there is something warm and comforting about continuing the traditions from our childhood. So, we will be serving the same foods as my Grandmother and Mother - all traditional Thanksgiving dishes..... -
Me too! And I tried doing a search for "Dorothy" but it said they couldn't find her....

First of all let me say that I am glad that your son and his friend are going to be OK - that is the most important thing in this situation. I have been in your shoes - I got that call after my son was involved in a road rage incident and was life flighted to another state - only he was over 21yrs old and they would not give me any information. He was sliced up with a utility knife and has some scars but is fine and will be 26yrs old next week. I did not find out until mid-afternoon the next day as he did not live with me and they finally contacted his Dad who then called me. I can hon
