Anti Black Friday Shoppers Unite!
Christine0402 replied to Gipper Girl Rocks's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Last year, I got the same amount of "deals" (plus free shipping) shopping online in my pj's as the crazy folks did waking up at the crack of dawn, fighting for a parking spot, and standing in line for hours at the stores. No thanks! I'll be finishing up my Christmas shopping from home! -
Seafood, tomatoes, coffee, mushrooms, onions, milk, custard, jelly, mayonnaise, anything spicy, anything charred on the grill. I don't detest peanut butter but I don't love it either.

Is there a brand of mop you like a lot?

My ceramic tile is only in one room (bathroom), and that floor doesn't get super dirty. But I think that it does a good job of cleaning the tile and grout. In my opinion, grout always needs special attention, but I'd still recommend the Shark! -
I worked for a company for 3 yrs and then got laid off. I collected my first round of UE from them (26+ wks?). I was home for a while after that, but then went back to work through a temp agency for a 9-month project. After the project was over, I was able to re-file for unemployment, even though I didn't have any paperwork or anything. When they reviewed my claim, they approved it and said that they would be drawing the money from the temp agency that I worked for, instead of from the original company that I originally worked for and was laid off from. I don't know if there are any condi

I love my Shark and I use it to clean my hardwoods, tile, and laminate. The newer model that came out last year or so has a 30-ft cord instead of the 20-ft cord of the previous model. The newer model also has two heads (rectangle + triangle) instead of just one (rectangle). I do have a dog who drools next to her food bowl and next to the garage door where she waits for us to come home, both of which have hardwood. On those spots, the Shark doesn't get it all up. It makes it better, but not great. So those spots I still get on my hands and knees for. But overall it does a fantastic job. -

What a moron! I hope he has to pay for all the damage and that you aren't inconvenienced in the process. Feel better! -
My mom quit smoking while she was pregnant with me, but she picked it back up the day that I was born. She was in her bed in the hospital post-delivery when her roommate offered her a cigarette. So they sat and smoked together in their hospital room.

You're right - CFA means Chick-fil-A. I never go over that way, so I have no idea one way or the other. But that's what he said. Maybe he meant somewhere else? I don't know! Okay, forget what *I* said!

Someone at the Acworth CFA told us tonight that they are putting a CFA at 278/61. He said they are calling it somewhat of a second Hiram location.

I actually give my boy a can of wet in the morning and dry at night because he has had some bad urine crystal problems and he got "blocked" once. We feed him Fancy Feast wet in the morning which smells DISGUSTING even down the hall and in another room after you feed him. (We used to feed him Iams wet but it got way too expensive at $18 for ~24 cans.) I even add a little extra water to his wet food to make sure he is getting enough. Also, stay away from fish-type foods (salmon, tuna, whitefish, etc) if your cat has urinary issues because they contain more mercury and ash or something like t

Iams is definitely the best food. Stick with the dry food because the wet food rots their teeth faster. The cruchiness of the dry food helps to keep some of the plaque off their teeth. Male cat pee has a very strong smell to it. I've not had that problem with my female cats. Make sure you have one more litter box than you have cats. In other words, if you have three cats, make sure you have four litter boxes. Good luck!

Thank you!

Did your parents divorce while you were living at home?
Christine0402 replied to Gipper Girl Rocks's topic in RECENT TOPICS
My parents divorced when I was 5. That was probably a good thing, since my father was cheating on my mother. He had little to do with me up until age 13, and nothing to do with me after that. Loser. My siblings and I were profoundly affected by the lack of a biological father in our lives, each in a different way. My mom remarried a great guy when I was in my early teens, and they have been married for 20+ years. I got married in my late 20's and we've been married 8 happy years already. DH's parents got married at the age of 19 and they've been married 36 years. (How he stands he -

Kudos to our trick or treaters...............

My sister did the same thing while we were out going door-to-door, and she still had 1/2 a bowl left by the time we got back 1 1/2 hours later! We saw a lot of people who just put bowls out and we were very respectful to only take one or two pieces, whatever they indicated. I think the only ones who take more are the older kids who usually go out later -- without their parents! -
Trick-or-Treating should be for kids 12 and under, in my opinion. If you are old enough to have a part-time job, and especially if you don't even bother to dress up, you do NOT get candy from me. I love all the cute little kids. They are adorable. I went to my sister's house and took my 2 1/2 year old niece door-to-door. She was a lady bug and she was so cute. And even at her age, she was taught to say "please" and "thank you". And she did. Every time. And as a bonus, she even told one homeowner "I love you". So sweet!

I know this is a topic for eyeliner, but 1SaleADay has a deal for e.l.f. eyeshadow today that I thought I would pass on since someone mentioned the e.l.f. brand for eyeliner. This deal is only good until Sat night 10/29 at 11:59pm. $13.00 (including shipping) for 100 eyeshadow colors, a mirror, and 2 applicators. http://1saleaday.com/family/

My DH is a quiet, conservative, and reserved 36-yr-old. But when he sees the commercials for Beavis and Butthead, he instantly turns into a 12-yr-old and I feel like I am married to Butthead!

I use Dr. Jessica Morin at Cedarcrest / Seven Hills and love her.

I bought a non-Apple sync cable (I believe the brand was DGO and purchased at Office Depot) and it works great, except for with the USB cable in my car once in a while. I will then get an error message that says something like "This product is not compatible with this phone" and then it will not charge. I don't know what makes it work sometimes and not other times. But other than that, no problems.

They have now started selling the e.l.f. line in Target, although I am not sure if the price is the same or not.
