  1. I've seen Marty Stuart several times. He comes to the Georgia Mountain Fair in Hiawassee every year; he played in Cartersville back in February and played in Cedartown at the Civic Center several years ago......and he ALWAYS has a funny Travis story to tell. He puts on a terrific show; he and his band always hang around after the show for pictures and autographs and don't leave until the last one is signed. I know that's an impossibility for people like Brad Paisley, Alan Jackson, Kenny Chesney, etc., but it's still nice that he does it. Plus, since he prefers to play smaller venues,
  2. I heard they gave her the key to the city once....and she promptly threw it at a car going down 278. (insert rimshot here!) ....and before anyone says anything, THAT WAS A JOKE!!!!!! I'm a Miss Jessie fan. I haven't seen her lately; I hope she's doing well and wish her nothing but the best.
  3. yup....I don't blamed you one bit for being pissed; I would be, too. But in this day and age you need proof, so tell him to make sure that recorder is charged and ready to go.
  4. Go back an read post #11. I would advise you to have your son bring along a buddy that has a good video recorder on his cell phone just in case it's needed at a later date.
  5. I was there last week...they were in the process of doing something to the parking lot and on the inside the workers were working on the play area. On the same note, I heard that the McD's at Lost Mountain was also going to be remodeled in September, but it's now supposedly been postponed until January.
  6. Me too...also (just a thought!) once he gets over there, maybe you can let us know if/when you are putting together a care package for him and those of us that are interested can contribute to it.
  7. A character from my all time favorite book: To Kill A Mockingbird. I used to be scout finch, but changed it a few years ago.
  8. That's the way my class ('78), worked; junior class ordered their rings late fall/early winter and they arrived early spring when the senior class received their caps, gowns, and graduation invitations.
  9. I'd start by checking the Internet to get a general idea; they usually have a toy and train show every few months at the Cobb Civic Center on Fairground street in Marietta every few months. Maybe show it to a few of the vendors there and if they can't give you a figure ask them can the recommend someone.
  10. Don't think of it as being "cheap"....I prefer "sensible."
  11. Have you tried the farmers market in Dallas on Saturdays or the one at the corner of 92 and 120 on Friday afternoons?
  12. Something tells me you're gonna need a bigger boat!
  13. Walmart! I kind of regretted not getting my college class ring, but since I knew my high school ring was already sitting in the safe (back when they were made out of real gold), I knew the college ring would eventually wind up there, as well. I shopped Jostens, as well as Walmart and if I was going to get one I'm not in the least bit ashamed to say that it would have come from Walmart!
  14. Oh I could just SO see this one: Dolla Make Me Holla Wing Special!
  15. I think this person needs to hook up with TP and just get one tbread going. They can take turns arguing over Georgia's Integrity Report Card and to vaccinate or not to vaccinate.
  16. What part of Paulding do you live in? I live near East Paulding HS and I see kids just about every Saturday in the fall selling KK's at the East Paulding/Hwy 92 intersection or on Dallas Hwy at East Paulding.
  17. I found one once still stuck in the ATM machine in the Ingles parking lot. No one was around; since it was Sunday, I went to the nearest Kroger that a Bank of America, attached a note to the card letting them know I found it at an ATM, and tossed it behind the teller counter, so the tellers would see it when they came to work the next morning.
  18. I'd be sorely tempted to buy a few billboards around town and put that same message on it!
  19. Chicken fried steak with roasted squash, zucchini, and onions.
  20. Here's a link: Accepted documents Looks like you can use a lease or a deed from the current address and get a letter on company letterhead from the person's employer stating that that is the address of record.
  21. Just as an FYI, most organizations can and do monitor their Internet usage during working hours. Some companies don't mind you doing personal Internet surfing on your lunch hour or on a break, as long as its not porn, etc., and as long as the time spent isn't unreasonable. But there are others that are very strict in their Internet policies; they can and do enforce them. The network admin I used to work with would pour over logs to see where people were going in an effort to try to "lock down" Internet usage. The CFO thought it was a complete waste of time and thought the network
  22. A friend of mine lives in Hoschton, Ga ( way up I-85 near Athens). They tried to set a world record a few years ago and it's become an annual event. Hoschton Scarecrows
  23. Actually, I was going to suggest that, as well, but based on what has been shared, he'd probably bash the trunk in with a sledge hammer trying to get to it. Is there anyway you could put a small hidden motion detector on it so that an alarm would go off when it's in use? At least when he finds the hiding place, someone would know right away that he's using it and you could prevent situation (loss of paper and ink) right then instead of after the fact. I know the daughter probably needs it fo her school work, but I think if you explained the situation to her teacher, maybe she could ema
