You know what you forgot about? That toll on GA400. Them same smart people said when they once that road got paid for, they'd remove the toll. That road has been paid for, toll is still getting collected, and traffic still sucks.

it also puts you in the front seat of the hell train!

He had me until I saw the dreaded BUTTER BEANS!!! (Ack...Yuck....Patooey!). I come from the line of Southerners that say putting butter beans in Brunswick Stew is blasphemous.

Just for my own piece of mind (if I were you) I think I'd go ahead and hire a home inspector just to make sure there isn't something hidden you weren't aware of. Two things that I thought of that you didn't mention: A. Termite letter B. Maybe a fresh coat of interior paint in a neutral tone if your walls are currently painted in "unique" tones. The only reason I mention this is that I had a friend a few years ago that put his home on the market (before the bust) and his wife had painted the living room Pepto Bismol pink a year to two before. They could not get any traffic at all unt

I got a flyer in the mail yesterday; apparently Paisanos at Cedarcrest is under new ownership and to celebrate on Tuesday, July 17 from 5pm to 7pm Bill Carruth will be there for a Meet and Greet. Should I notify the marshall's office and let them know where and when they can find him or should I just wait and give Bill the letter I received today?

This kind of reminds me of an old episode of The Patty Duke Show. Patty, Cathy, and another girl were running against each other for some class office. Every time they all got a chance to speak, Patty and Cathy would rake each other over the coals; their opponent would just step up to the mike and say "Vote for me.". Guess who won?

+1000 (if that were possible!). She's supposed to be going to grad school afterwards. I'm wainting for the vat of specials to come...."Monica Goes Back to School." I'm guessing that when the semester ends WSB will have another "Monica Pearson Special: Monica Discusses Her Report Card."

I'd ask them straight up exactly HOW and WHY they chose the names? I mean, Puddin Pie? Pancake Purse? Patron? I'd be curious if they are referring to the tequila or a customer. I also agree with what someone else said...if they are being that catty about your friend, you have to wonder what they are saying about you behind your back?

That's good to know. I didn't know it had changed. When I needed a copy of mine (way back when) my choices were to go to the State office in Atlanta or the county where I was born.

We have a home on Lake Hartwell and we've seen more than our share of stupidity on the water. You think the roads are bad, on water it increases ten-fold. People don't seem to realize that there are rules that watercraft have to follow and lose common sense.

One other thing I like about it is that it is totally untraceable. I've seen people "air out their business" on FB without naming names and then you (along with all the other FB friends) wonder if the comment was directed at them. The problem with FB or Twitter is that if you are between jobs, it's there for future employers to see. It's also there for friends or neighbors to see and gossip about. I know that this probably isn't what that sight was supposed to be used for, but believe me it has been quite therapeutic for me! For the first time in quite awhile, I'm at peace and I'm

Believe it or not, it really did. I can't really get into specifics here....it was a serious situation that I had absolutely no control over and that's all that needs to be said. Like you, it was ultimately all put back on me. HOWEVER..... It was so freeing to be able to compose a letter to a specific person, write out all the vicious and vile thoughts that I've kept to myself, call them the most vulgar names imaginable, tell them to perform an act on themselves that is physically impossible, pop it into that virtual bottle and toss it into that virtual ocean. Could/should I

I blogged about this earlier tonight; it has been such an invigorating day that I wanted to share it here in case someone was going through something similar. I have been carrying around a burden for a while. I tried to let it go, but for some reason I just could not give it up. I thought that just giving it time would help....but it didn't. A friend had suggested writing it all down on paper, reading it aloud, then burning the paper. I had my own reasons for not wanting to burn the paper....and I really didn't want to keep the paper, either. Last night, I was playing around on t

Duh, yourself. I never meant to imply that it WAS constrained SOLELY it IT. I merely quoted markdavd's post to add perspective. I'm well aware that this is a potential issue for EVERY open job that is out there.

I've been told that in some instances, the hiring manager already has a candidate in mind (think friend, former coworker, etc) that will fit the very specific qualifications, but in order to get around some of the politics (not promoting from within, offering a higher salary than current employees) they can legitimately exclude otherwise qualified candidates.

Rather than attempting something on my own, I think I'd try one of the commerce members on here that specialize in computer repairs and ask what you should or shouldn't use. I'm sure they've come across this situation before.

Years ago (like 1980 or so), Champ's Clock Shop in Douglasville, COMPLETELY restored an old anniversary clock that my father had bought for my grandmother when he was stationed in Germany in the early 1950's. It was quite pitiful looking when I brought it to the shop. The little spinner thing was broken off, the key had been lost, the original dome had been broken many years ago when my grandfather attempted to dust it; additionally it needed a thorough cleaning. The repair was a little pricey, but that clock had great sentimental value to my father. The repair was a surprise birthda

Cleaning out the freezer....took out a small tube of Italian chicken sausage and a small pkg of ground pork. Mixed it together and made burgers.

My husband is originally from Boston. His advice would be to stop by Bali Hai or Kowloon's and have them make you up a care package on dry ice before you move. You might want to think about stopping by your favorite deli/bakery and stock up on "GOOD" (his word) bread, cheeses, and cold cuts. In answer to the original question| Vet: East Paulding Animal Hospital Dentist: West Cobb Family Dentistry (Hal Wilson) Dr.: Cornerstone Family Medicine (James Elsbree). Their office is right next door to West Cobb Family Dentistry.
