  1. Pecans are on the Way to the Libraries! Submitted by: Cherry B. Waddell, Paulding County Library Services Coordinator The Holidays are fast approaching and time for preparing your favorite casseroles and desserts. Have you noticed that the best tasting recipes call for pecans? The Friends of the Paulding County Public Libraries are hosting their second annual pecan sale to benefit the libraries. The pecans are fresh, this year’s crop and much better than you can buy in retail stores. They freeze very well. So plan to stock up for the 12 months until next year’s sale. They also make great hostess gifts! Pecans are expected to arrive in the libraries the week of November 10th. They will go fast. Stop by your library and place your order to reserve your pecans now! 1 lb. bag Pecan Halves: $10.50 1 lb. bag Pecan pieces: $10.00 Gift Bags: $9.00 12 oz. Chocolate Covered Pecans 12 oz.
