I would check with the GIS Dept for the county. They coordinate with the 911 and addressing divisions of the county and they would probably be your best bet...or could at least direct you to the correct division. The number is 770 443 1353.

Make them a Christmas ornament or find a pretty crystal one. Ask family members (both families) for photos of them as kids, and any that they have as they were dating and make a scrapbook.

So sorry about your loss and I dread it when the time comes for me to do the same. But I always feel comfort whenever I read The Rainbow Bridge.

I went to Cobb YEARS ago (1966-1978) and that was EXACTLY what they did. Why? Because our only winter break was the two weeks between Christmas and New Years and the only students that had spring break were in COLLEGE.

Once things are back to normal, the county should have a bus driver appreciation day.

Get off your cell phone in the theater
scoutfinch replied to Coppertop's Pop's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I think the last time I went to the theater was to see Talledegah Nights....it's been that long. Just not worth the hassle between people talking all the way thru the movie, cell phones, crying babies, moms handing out the candy they brought from home and kids arguing they don't WANT the Junior Mints, they want SKITTLES, then pitch a hissyfit because mom only bought junior mints and sweet tarts, and Betty Beebeebladder having to get up every 5 minutes to go pee....and now guns. No thanks...I'll wait for the DVD. -
Fred was a BIG deal in Paulding.

Changes to High School Graduation and HOPE

I remember a similar test i took (mine would have been early 70's). It let you know where your areas of strengths/weaknesses were, "people" person vs loner, along with types of things you enjoyed. Then depending on how what your scores were, it suggested types of work might interest you, career wise....but you weren't locked into an educational track based on those results. A counselor did come by at some point gave us a list of classes we had to take just to get a diploma and go straight to work vs what we had to take if we planned on going to college. -
There is a part time ranger that works at Kennesaw Mountain Park. His name is Willie Ray Johnson. He is a retired high school history teacher (Cobb County) and is a Civil War authoritarian. He is a wealth of information if you care to go visit the park.

I was 3; the only memories I have are being extremely annoyed at the fact that Saturday morning cartoons weren't on. I couldn't go outside because I had tonsillitis. I *DO* remember where I saw when Oswald got shot. I was lying on our sofa. My dad had gone to church without us because I was sick. I remember my dad had just pulled into our driveway and my mom met him at the door and told him Oswald had been shot.

I picked up my transcript last year at a place in Cobb International Blvd...it's off of US41 across from McCollum Pkwy in an industrial park. It's kind of hidden. I just remember driving all the way down and around the road and FINALLY came to the right building.

I echo all of the above. I wished I could have listened the the news job once without Larry's CONSTANT interruptions. I was hoping that one day EVH would just start tramping all over W-A-CH-S's Braves Report just to give him a dose of his own medicine.

Anyone with that attitude is not deserving to be called "fairer sex"...."stupid b*tch" are two other words that come to mind. I could think of more but I will leave it at that. Since she apparently DIDN'T say it, I will: THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!!!

I broke several ribs in a car accident a few years ago. Painful cant begin to describe it. I had to sleep sitting up for the longest time. I had too get up periodically and walk around. Sitting for any length of time caused me to stiffen up and it was even MORE painful. Hope you heal soon.

NBC has a history. Remember Richard Jewell? He sued them for libel and won.

I've said this from day 1. How many people LIVE in a an exempt county and commute into a non exempt county? The useless law ought to apply to the whole state, not just the metro area. And it ought to apply to ALL cars, regardless of age. The very ones that are exempt are the ones that pollute the most. I saw several years ago that a Prius owner was having trouble getting his car to pass emission test. Why? Because the gas engine shuts down to save gas and avoid idling when the car is stopped. The car wasnt registering on the emission hookup so they couldn't pass it. Yeah, li

The powdered peanut butter mentioned above is called PB2. It contains considerably less fat than regular peanut butter...and (as a member of Weight Watchers) has considerably less points plus value than regular peanut butter. As for taste, I have not made it adding water to it. Instead, I used it to flavor smoothies (a frozen banana, cup of crushed ice, 1 cup of nonfat plain yogurt, and two Tbsp of Chocolate flavored PB2).

Would this be a good policy for Pauldiing County schools as well?
scoutfinch replied to macarose's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Exactly! I came from the era where "attitude adjustments" aka 5 - 10 swats from the principal's paddle and a few days at home with no opportunity to make up the missed work resolved that problem in most cases. You can't do that anymore. Fine, kick 'em out. if the are violent and hurl threats, call the law and let them deal with it. It's not fair to the kids who actually want to learn.
