  1. never stayed in a nursery or daycare because my mom stayed home. Our big summer adventure, though, was visiting our cousins and grandparents who lived in the country. We walked EVERYWHERE (down to "town" to get a coke, through the woods to get to other houses ignoring the warnings about looking out for snakes and tics, chasing cows and goats, climbing trees in the apple orchard, listening in on my grandmothers party line....good times! My cousins had a couple of old maid aunts who lived in an old house similar to Starr and Drus Nana. Oh how I miss those ladies and that old house!
  2. This is what I found....not sure if it's what you are looking for or not. Baker Family Cemetery Ezell-Garner Cemetery Couldn't find anything on Kennedy. _________ Update: I dug a little further. The only reference I found to a Kennedy Family Cemetery in Paulding was that there is a Kennedy-Starnes Family Cemetery located somewhere along Cedarcrest Road....but it didn't sa specifically where. Maybe someone who knows the area may know of where the actual location is.
  3. I say do a spinoff on one of those old ghost stories. Get one of those Scream death masks, a bloody hook, knock on the window with the hook, and ask in a morbid voice "Where's my arrrrmmmm?" Either that or dress up like Leatherface in Texas Chainsaw Massacre and right when they're "in the moment", crank up the chainsaw and go banshee.
  4. Just a thought if the other suggestions don't pan out, give a place like Game Stop or a computer repair shop a call. Maybe you could take the Wii there and borrow the tool (if they have one) to open it up. Save you from having to buy it.
  5. Rays on the River is the only thing I know of.....pricey, though.
  6. Trying to get Drew Peterson and Andrea Sneiderman set up on a date.
  7. CFA at Brookstone in Acworth was an absolute madhouse.
  8. Here's a link with all acceptable documentation. Just read through it carefully. (citizens vs noncitizens, originals vs copies, number of which types are needed, etc. Complete list of acceptable documentation needed to GA drivers license renewals
  9. Check the date on the passport before you go, though, because they will only accept UNEXPIRED passports as a form of ID. I was going through my paperwork a few weeks ago and realized my passport was due to expire in September.
  10. Well aren't you a merry little ray of sunshine? Actually, that reminds me of the stories my younger brother would tell. He worked the late shift at Wendy's in the 80's. He would always get so pissed at the church folks that came in on Sunday evening after the Sunday evening worship services.....usually around 8pm. The women folk would go up to the counter and order coffee while the menfolk moved all the tables and chairs together so everyone could sit together. Then they'd sit and chit chat for a couple of hours. Then about 15 minutes before closing, a few of them would wander
  11. Me, too. (Wow! Twice in 2 days I agreed with something ZC said! It's a sign of the apocalypse, y'all!)
  12. The only thing I was asked this morning was : "Will you be eating in our dining room this morning?"
  13. Exactly!!!! Field appraisers are another position that comes to mind. They are out in the boonies of the county and if they want to stop at a Walmart to pick up a bottle of water and a sandwich for lunch, I'm not going to begrudge them. As for the desk jockies, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, as well. For example, if someone needed to make a bank deposit FOR THE COUNTY and used a county car since they were on county business and stopped at Wendy's on the way back since it was almost lunchtime, again, I don't see a problem. I'm not a county employee, but I worked with a girl
  14. As long as you don't stuff my mailbox EVERY SINGLE DAY with 3 or 4 cards saying vote for me, you got my vote. I swear between all the cards I've gotten from Carruth, Heath, and Braddock I could wallpaper my entire house.
  15. WTF??? Like S&D's Nana said, none of their damn business. Now if they persisted after that, I'd start messing with them....what are we doing out at the pool? Toilet's broke...when ya gotta go, ya gotta go (takes care of them wanting to come over.) Why'd Hubby take off work? Explosive diarrhea....then describe in great detail. What is the APR on your car? Don't know....cuz its stolen. How do you afford that? Well....we sell organs on the black market. Got a kidney you want to sell?
  16. Occasionally, a behemoth truck will park next to my car. When backing out of a parking space in this case, i CANNOT SEE if anything is coming so I back out VERY SLOWLY because no one stops to let anyone out anymore. People putting their kids on the counter at fast food places while they are waiting on their order.
  17. I used to (emphasis on USED TO) work for one and he was as LIBERAL as the day is long. Control freaks come in all shapes, sizes, sexes, races, sexual orientations, and political persuasions.
  18. Obviously it wasn't an English assignment. What an asshat!
  19. Remember Alana (aka Honey Boo Boo Child) from Toddlers and Tiaras? She's getting her own TV show. http://tlc.howstuffworks.com/tv/here-comes-honey-boo-boo/about-here-comes-honey-boo-boo.htm You can meet the entire boo boo family. All I can say is just damn.
  20. I didn't realize there was a Rosenwald school in Hiram until I saw the sign for it a couple of weeks ago. I don't know if the sign had always been there and I had just happened to notice it, or if the sign was new. Anyways, I just happened to stumble on one in Acworth a year or so, ago. I decided to take a scenic route and saw the historical register sign. I'd never heard of a Rosenwald school before, so I looked up the particulars when I got home. I'd love to take a peek inside it. I love the fact that these buildings are preserved for future generations to see and learn from rath
  21. Anybody in this day and age that rings someone's doorbell in the middle of the night AS A JOKE is STUPID; you never know which homeowners are armed and have itchy trigger fingers.
  22. Give 'me a pass on the pool due to this: Hotel Pools and ADA Compliancy All public pools now have to be compliant with an ADA regulation that requires that a PERMANENT lift be installed at pools. Most pools had a portable lift that could be used as necessary, but portable is no longer good enough.....it has to be permanent. Because of the expense to install and/or repair, a lot of the smaller hotels have opted to either close the pool altogether or FILL THEM IN. Boortz has been talking about this on his show for a while.
