I had mine done around 10 years ago (like I said). I don't know about the choices you have, but I took a chance and opted to skip the package with "tune-ups". I had both eyes done, to treat my nearsightedness, and have had perfect vision ever since! I'm 44 and don't wear reading glasses, although I was told I would eventually have to. Congrats on the first step! You guys will LOVE being able to see!!!

I LOVE games!! Definitely Cranium!! What's great is that it has a mix of all of the classics, so everyone enjoys!! You'll never grow old of the game. My second choice is Apples to Apples. My son fell out of his chair backwards laughing so hard. It's cheaper too! Have fun with your trip; sounds like a blast!!

What a sweet lesson and a incredible act on part of EPMS. I am totally touched. It's moments like that that makes me know Paulding County is a great place to be!!

I had Lasik Plus done about 10 years ago. They have offices at the Galleria and in Buckhead. I wore contacts during the day. My eyes were so dry I had to take them out at night. I couldn't read the clock radio right beside my bed; it drove me nuts. I also love the beach, swimming and water sports. The good: I can see better than 20/20. No eye wear needed at all! They said I might have to wear some kind of vision correction, and I thought, what the heck, it can only get better than what I can see now. It was awesome!! I think I paid $2000 for both eyes to be corrected at the sam

I remember. Barnes promised and campaigned that teachers would receive a pay raise. Was it 5%? Somehow, teachers never received it. He totally lied. Nope. Not voting for the liar.

This is fun to read! Let's see... When I was young, we were neighbors with James Taylor's brother, Alex Taylor and his son, James Taylor (THE "Sweet Baby James). I grabbed Angus Young's butt while he was running by me in the Omni. I sold a notepad to Michael Stipe while working at OfficeMax in Kennesaw. (I just KNOW he wrote a famous song on it!) And I sat Robin Leach while working as a hostess in a restaurant. Oh and tossed a frisbee with Graham Nash at Lakewood before a concert. It was so cool that he was tossing one around before he performed. I don't think anyo

There is a children's museum in Wilmington, NC with sands from all over the world. It was the coolest thing. I never knew there was so much variety!!

And for another type of fun, try letterboxing. I love it because there's art involved by creating (or buying) an ink stamp. It's been around longer than geocaching and has sites all over. Here's a website if you're interested: www.letterboxing.org There are some beautifully carved stamps out there!

I love our digital thermostat. When we're away M-F, the house goes to 76, when we're here it's 74. At night it goes to 76. I see a huge difference. And I have to say, I'm no electrician. I got some guts, read the directions, and installed it myself. If I can do it, anyone can! -
Our favorite place in Pigeon Forge is the Blue Moose. It's a bar with cooooollllllddddddd beer and lots of yummy wings. It's great fun and the wings are different than anything you've had!!

Seems like if I were one of the others on the ballot, Barge or Woods, I'd want a redo of the election. I'm sure there are many who didn't know she shouldn't have been there. Very interesting. Would the mess up cause a "redo"? What a way to waste taxpayers' money if it does come down to doing it all again!

Today on the Republican ticket, Cathy Cox was on the Paulding ballot for State School Superintendent. Why? I thought she stepped down. On the Georgia Election results site (someone posted above), they don't have her as a Republican choice. Won't that mess up the election?

I have Verizon and love them. If you are ever wanting to travel around the US, Verizon is the way to go. My friend and hubby have two other carriers and they never had the service that I had. I started with Verizon 15 years ago and haven't changed, so I don't have much to compare them to.

Is there a unbiased website which explains each

WFAL-rubric? LOL...they all need to go by my rubric! As for the other suggestions, thanks, I'm hoping someone has a chart comparing each candidate. I have no idea who will get my vote. -
I've been totally out of the loop and need to do my homework, FAST! Is there a website anyone recommends for me to compare the candidates? I get enough fliers and phone calls that go in one ear and out the other. I'm not making a decision from them!

I love my Incredible!! It's so awesome...the browsing on the internet is super fast...faster than my computers at home. Yes, the battery is short lived, but I keep hearing that either a super battery will be available for purchase or HTC plans to fix the phone. I can go about 8-10 hours on the phone, but it constantly looks for updates, uses the GPS, etc. etc. It's no problem for me, I just plug it up to the wall, computer, or car to charge. I don't know about the X, but wonder what it'll have to offer. The Incredible is a 3G phone, the new phones will be 4G (whatever that means...I c

What are the most abundant gas stations across the U.S.?
aberdeen replied to aberdeen's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I've thought the same about this advise. Very interesting. I love Clark Howard!! I think I'll check out the Discover perks...good idea...my main question is: will all stations accept Discover? -
So.... you guys have been so helpful with planning our trip out west. I know some of you travel much more than I. The deal is....we're traveling around 4500 miles this summer and want to take advantage of a gas credit card with perks. The only thing is it won't do any good if there are none of these stations to get its use. Which company seems to be most frequent along I-40 and I-70 in the states of TN, AR, OK, TX, NM, AZ, NV, UT, CO, KS, IL, etc? Here are some deals I see: Chevron/Texaco has a deal for $0.10/gal savings with their card Exxon/Mobil has a $0.15/gal savings S

Don't forget letterboxing! It's free and a great educational experience for a family. Read the clues at this website (go down to Dallas or some other neat spot): Letterboxing in Paulding It'll take you on a fun-filled adventure with the family to places you've never thought to visit. Take a notebook and an inkpad to start. Eventually you'll have your own signature stamp, and might start carving and hiding your own!

Hmmmm..... $26,000,000,000 divided by 300,000 = $86,666.67 That's a nice pay for teachers. Does "up to 300,000" mean these teachers could be making much higher pay?? From where is all of this money coming?

After the BOE pay cuts, #2 and #7 might move to #1.
