  1. I'm so glad that you found the sax! You're very fortunate and blessed.
  2. I too would be checking Ebay & Craigslist. We had an expensive piece of equipment stolen from work and they recovered it by keeping an eye on these sites. It also helped them to catch the theif. The person who picked up the Sax probably figured there was no way to find the owner. Unless they are a Sax player, I'm sure they will want to sell it. Good luck........I hope you find it!!!!!
  3. There is a gentleman usually at the Lithia Springs flea market every weekend that does leather work including belts. He is always located near the little snack / concession stand.
  4. My son has been with Dr Harless for over a year now. We love him. He was recommended by my child's regular dentist who we have been with for over 10 years. They have even stayed late a couple of times in emergency situations where something accidently popped loose from my child's poor choice in eating something gummy.
  5. Combine in the crock pot - 1 bag of frozen peas (black eyed, crowder, or zipper peas - your favorite), one chopped onion, about 2 cans of beef broth, sprinkle in some black pepper and Ms. Dash. Then brown a pack of pork chops in a frying - don't completely cook, just brown each side. Add pork chops to crock pot and cook on low until chops and peas are completely cooked.
  6. Where do you live Blue.....I might need a place to stay if this economy doesn't get better soon.
  7. My mom would always make really dark / strong tea then apply it to our sunburns. Then allow the tea to dry on the skin. She would do at least a couple applications. I've not done it in years but I can remember it helping to ease my pain.
  8. I didn't know FB had pages like that........thanks for the info!
  9. I would tell your friend to hit the road. You have every right to be upset with them. Most people that are getting jobs now are taking less paying jobs. My husband would love to have a full time job. He is working two part time jobs (both at a lower pay than his old job) to just help us to get by. He is working more hours but less take home pay than before! We are struggling and it was all we could do to buy school supplies for our kids. Now we are struggling with the fact that we need to buy winter clothes soon. I can't tell you the last time my husband or I have bought anything new for us...
  10. I did that when I was about that age. A couple of the buses changed routes and I didn't know it. I got on the wrong bus and I noticed I didn't recognize any of the kids. I just sat there on the bus quietly until a neighbor chased the bus down looking for me. That was way before the drivers had a radio system to talk to each other. It frightened my mom and the neighbor. I bet the little girl today did about the same thing.
  11. My trash can has it labeled on the side to point the handle towards the street for the collector to grab it. Then they leave it with the handle pointed towards my house.
  12. There is one going to be built in Marietta on Powder Springs Rd. It's where the old Food Depot use to be. There was an article on it last week in the MDJ.
  13. This is the reason I have always believed in my grandmother's saying, "God watches over children and fools." I pray everyday for God to watch over my kids.
  14. Love American Style, Happy Days, The Monkees, Magnum P.I., Fantasy Island, Three's Company, Fact of Life, All in the Family, Hudson Brothers (what hunks), Flipper, Hardy Boys, to name a few....
  15. I went to a church homecoming and this was an easy dish that one woman brought. It was delicious. She placed a bag of frozen black eyed peas (still frozen) in the crock pot and added a can of beef broth and a chopped onion. She browned a pack of pork chops (not cooked, just browned each side)in a skillet. She then placed the chops on top on the peas in the crock pot. She cooked it for 6 to 8 hours in on Low. I also like to cook cubed steak in the crock pot. I place the steak in the crock pot, cover with lipton soup mix and a large can of cream of mushroom soup. Then cook it for 6 t
  16. I'm extremely picky about Chinese food. I like Oriental Cafe on East West Connector near Powder Springs Rd. They are located in the strip shopping center in front of the movie theater. The sauces that they bring to the table are fresh. I never liked Duck Sauce before eating theirs and theirs is the only one I will eat. Their lunches run $7 and that includes drink, entree, spring roll and soup. Their hot & sour soup and crab rangoon are wonderful! They also have sushi but I do not eat raw food. It is also a nice sit down restaurant with friendly servers. Oh, their orange chicken is wonderfu
  17. My favorite is honey wheat preztel rods dipped in garden herb cream cheese. I even have the kids eating it.
  18. They'll start off with three dollars to just warm you up. After a little given time, the fee will be raised, then they will figure some new charge to add, etc., etc. It doesn't stop.
  19. GeorgiaTornado....Like I have told you before, "you're a mean little woman with a big stick." But the family loves ya!
  20. My daughter's door has no door knob. I took it off about 3 weeks ago. She locked me out when I was trying to tell her something she didn't want to hear. I don't have that problem now and I'm not sure if she will ever get the door knob back!
  21. I just tell mine to go ahead and call the popo. Then maybe they can live with another family and see how they would get treated by strangers. And when they leave, they better be naked with nothing in their hands because I paid for everything they own....if I paid for it, it's mine and it doesn't leave my house. Then maybe I can enjoy life and spend the money I make on me instead of them. That usually stops them in their tracks and makes them think twice. Then I start talking about what I can do with their room and how much I can make selling off their electronic devices. Yep, if they want to t
  22. I know that the book I bought from you about a month ago was a great deal. I bought a used hardback that was in excellent condition. I checked with B&N first and their paperback was higher priced than your hardback. It was an easy decision....I bought the hardback from you at the better price! I've shopped off and on with your store for a few years now when I need a book for my kid's school assignments and it's always been a good deal! I like the smaller stores like yours!
