  1. My 8 yr old was because his mouth was too small for his teeth. The dentist and orthodontist both told me that if he didn't have his that he would lose some of his adult teeth (they've already came in) and would have some bone lost. They have already widened his mouth, guided in some of the teeth they were coming in wrong, and now he is in retainers. He will have to wear the retainers for a while to finish guiding in the other teeth that he will be getting. The ortho said the retainers will be in for quite some time but it's only a wire that runs on the backside of his teeth. You can't see them
  2. Friday 13th's have always been good days for me. I've always made A's on tests taken on those days. My oldest child was born on a Friday 13th.....in fact, today is his birthday. I have found money, won things, and all kinds of positives on Friday 13th. I always look forward to them. Today is going to be a wonderful day.
  3. I can't see them being able to do that. From my understanding it is illegal to sell a used mattress. I know individuals do it but stores are not supoosed to do that.
  4. I had very good luck there buying my husband some clothes. They had a good price on jeans when I was in there and they did have plus size women's clothes. I talked a while to the owner and he gets delieveries in each week. I was impressed and will be back. He also had purses and jewerly. He is also open on the weekends. He does have a fitting room but no AC. He has a fan blowing across the area but be prepared for the heat. He tried to stay open late because of the heat. I plan on going back.
  5. I have very good news for you! The people that owned Fat Boys now owns a resturant in Marietta called Come and Get It. It is located on Church St Extension in the old Elizabeth Feed and Seed Store. They revamped the building and the resturant is in the front. They still have hamburgers and foot long hamburgers plus lots of other good stuff. They are awesome!
  6. God is an amazing God! So glad that everyone is alright. Thank God that grandbaby didn't get hurt too!
  7. Generally the railroad is the one that sinks the money into projects like these and not the local governments. As far as the recession, it has helped the railroad to grow again because it is a cheaper way to transport goods. With the increase of gas prices causing the prices to haul goods by truck it has helped the railroad industry to start thriving again.
  8. I dearly miss Del Taco too! I also miss Halftime on Windy Hill. They had the best philly cheese, hamburgers, wings and squash casserole. Also: Chili's broccoli cheese soup Land O' Lake butter cream cookies Arby's Apple Dumplin Bagel dogs and seafood salad that Sam's no longer sales. Is Donatos that pizza place that also sold a sandwich called the Big Don? It was an italian type sandwich made with sausage. It was a wonderful sandwich.
  9. I use hair spray all the time to remove ink. I have even been able to remove sharpie ink when treated immediately. It can take several treatments if it is a really bad spot. I have also had luck with Carbona. It's a little yellow bottle sold at most grocery stores in the laundry supply area. They sell treatments for all kinds of spots. I have had luck with their ink, crayola, blood, fat/grease and grass stain removers. Carbona is great! I have also used the color fading sheets in the wash. They work great if you are worried about an article of clothing fading in the wash.
  10. The bad part is that there are some things that you do not need to stand in line for but it's hard to get some people to understand that. I've been to that same DMV to pick up a driver's book for my kid to study for his learner's permit. I took my chances by going past the line into the building to get the book. I seriously thought someone might jump me just by walking by. I made sure I held that book where it could be seen by everyone while I walked back out. I got better treatment on the way back out. They do not have it clearly marked who needs to stand where or where to go for different th
  11. I've ate at both locations and both were wonderful. I'm glad they are coming to our side of town! IMO, they are very reasonable priced when you compare them to other Italian restaurants and the food is much better.
  12. Will you possibly pick up to repair? We need work done to our riding lawn mower but have no way to haul it to someone to repair.
  13. Thanks for letting me know where to find it. I will be looking for it.
  14. Olive Tree in Villa Rica is very good. They also have a location on Thortorn Rd across the road from Thortorn Chevrolet. They are also reasonable with their prices when compared to other Italian places. I agree with Pasta Bella on Austell Rd too. The owner also owns Marietta Diner (featured on Drive-ins and Dives show). But make sure you go hungry because they give you lots of food. I always walk away with leftovers.
  15. I'm not sure but I believe this guy advertised fixing various mp3 players and phones. I know he has a shop at the intersection of Macland Rd and Lost Mtn Rd. I do not know anything about the quality of his work. I've just seen some advertising and know the location of the shop. Maybe you can call him and see if he does that kind of repair and if it is reasonable. Good luck and sorry to hear the problems you are having. I've had my Apple Ipod for 5 years without any problems. Al Curtis kclub@comcast.net (678 ) 300 - 7241
  16. You do need to report the gun to the police. If the gun is registered and becomes part of a crime then it will fall back on your friend. The gun needs to be listed as stolen with the police. I would consider the ring long gone especially if it has been quite a while since this started. I'm sure the kid got rid of it fast expecially after you confronted him on the paint gun. I'm sorry to hear that you lost the ring. I have a family ring that I lost too and it still bothers me to this day. You have to look at it from the point of view that it is a material object and can be replaced. If it hasn'

It's been a while but I have been to both Fernbanks. I loved both! But I would have to say that the history one is better for kids. They have alot more for the different age groups to do.
  18. You need to buy them at a pick your own strawberry farm for them to be sweet. The ones in the store are picked green and ripen in the store. I grew up with us having a strawberry patch and they are so wonderful when picked red from the vine.....much sweeter.
  19. Strawberry and blueberry are good spring flavors. Any type of light and fluffy dessert that doesn't make you feel weighted down. Orange and lemon are also good flavors.
  20. I bought my pizza stone from Rada Cutlery (they have awesome kitchen knifes too). They do have a website. I know pampered chef has them too but they are more expensive. There is also a business called Resturant Solutions on Austell Rd on the right side right before you get to South Cobb Dr. They sell all kinds of resturant cooking items but they are open to the public.
  21. I can't live without my pizza stone. I cook all kinds of things on it. I love the fact that when I cook french fries on it that they come out crispy and not soggy. I use to always hate fries cooked in the oven until I started cooking them on my stone. I also love cooking my biscuits on there. I wouldn't trade it for anything. It also makes store bought frozen pizzas taste better.
  22. I want to know where you got the zip it. I would like to buy one.
  23. Don't feel bad.....I didn't know until just reading your post. Thanks for letting me know!
