Drug Test for Welfare Recipients Proposed
rednekkhikkchikk replied to Tahoe's topic in RECENT TOPICS
So are we for more government or less government? Jobs picking up trash and mowing the lawn at public buildings are already filled by inmates, btw. When these welfare recipients test positive, then you'll support them while they are incarcerated and their families will continue to receive public assistance. With the budgetary crises both state and local governments are facing at this time, we really don't need more non-violent offenders crowding jails and prisons... -

When it's relevant to the reply to quote a previous post is understandable, but it is redundant to quote the original post or the previous post when it isn't necessary for context...especially when a lengthy post is quoted repeatedly for seemingly no reason. Different things annoy different people.

Who Remembers January 7, 1973? 37 years ago today.
rednekkhikkchikk replied to lotstodo's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I remember. I was 8 at that time. Had to stay with relatives due to no heat, etc.... I remember the one in 1982 because I was working in Atlanta at the time and luckily managed to make it home before things really got bad. 1993? Remember that one, too...well pump + 4 day power outage + impassable roads = nightmare. That's all I'll say about that. -
Chicago May Scrap Police Entrance Exam
rednekkhikkchikk replied to NewsJunky's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Not meaning to be rude or anything but why are we suddenly so concerned with what goes on in Chicago? And why only focus on the negative? -
He will likely come out better to use his own and then let them recover from hers through subrogation, is my guess.

I don't have a vehicle but it's a nice thing you're doing. Too often we forget that there are other issues involved for those trying to get back on their feet after a major upheaval such a losing a job has occurred.

Chief and Asst. Chief at Hiram Police Department resign
rednekkhikkchikk replied to gpatt0n's topic in Paulding County NEWS
Well duh. It was Republicans who were calling the allegations politically motivated. It plainly says so right there in the sentence with the text YOU highlighted. If everyone else here feels they have the right to say whatever they want on this board-subject matter be damned-then so much more so should the owner of the site feel entitled to do the same...and it is what it is. That's not exactly trashing someone. Chiming in at every opportunity to dog on those 'Democraps', however, is. -
Does anyone know what is missing this year?
rednekkhikkchikk replied to Baileybleu's topic in RECENT TOPICS
So did she ever find it? If she stays on 61 instead of turning onto East Memorial, I can see how she'd miss it, especially in the daytime. -
I think blue Christmas lights are the prettiest. Very calming to look at.

2,334 Marijuana Plants Seized In Paulding, Haralson
rednekkhikkchikk replied to jmd's topic in Paulding County NEWS
Yeah, you often hear people say that even if drug users/dealers aren't committing other crimes against people like assault, murder, theft, etc, their involvement with drugs prevents them from being productive, involved members of the community and is therefore a problem...then if it turns out they were actually working/volunteering or otherwise involved in some worthwhile cause or activity, those same people are outraged that they dared interact with other people - ever -especially children (!) Marijuana is no more addictive or harmful and has no more or worse long term harmful effects tha -
My mom sees Dr. Harris and seems to like him pretty well.

It's not quite as bad if it's REALLY cold. Mix it up, then refrigerate it for a while, then shake it well before you taste it. And definitely mix/store it in a glass container. I doubt I'd straight-up drink it but it still doesn't taste as bad as just after mixing with cold water from the tap. Then again, I prefer fat-free milk and can't stand to drink whole or even 2% milk anymore.

I don't have children and have made a point of informing my family that I don't plan to shop for gifts this year. I might bake a cake for each of my parents and for my sisters that my grandmother used to make - and honestly by the time I gather all I need for that I'll have spent as much as I would spend on junk they don't want and won't use, anyway. And I know it will be appreciated (and eaten), because it's absolutely delicious. The way I see it, they can keep their money, I'll keep my money, and if there's something any of us wants, we can catch a good deal after the holiday. T -

What year is it Paulding County Government?
rednekkhikkchikk replied to hurstrsq's topic in Paulding County NEWS
yeah. it is. I'd be quite alright if we could back up a few decades, myself. Yeah, I know. I'm backwards. Dirty job, but someone has to do it. -
I've never known the consumer complaint dept of the insurance commissioner's office to be especially speedy in their response, however, in all fairness they're probably swamped with complaints and/or questions from people who have suffered flood or storm damage in recent months, plus the other complaints they receive daily. They can't possibly give you the attention you require if they're rushing from one call to the next...

Lawsuit seeks to halt US swine flu vaccination campaign
rednekkhikkchikk replied to SoapMom's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Yes but we aren't forced to take or consume any of those things. Doesn't automatically mean the man is wrong, though, or even less credible in the eyes of those who feel as he does. Where did this idea that anyone who doesn't buy into the mainstream thinking on everything is wrong, or worse, just crazy, come from anyway? I think the reversals we've seen in recent years on some previously long-accepted claims/views/practices says otherwise...and if there's a question of credibility, past actions (and failures) of politicians and government as a whole don't make a very solid c -
Personally I wouldn't file a claim on my insurance that I could afford to absorb myself. It is not a good practice to file such claims because you might have a large or catastrophic claim down the road that you can't afford NOT to file. High claims frequency can result not only in a higher rate, but non-renewal of the policy altogether.

Incidentally, does anyone know how many times the question in the original post has been asked, in one form or another?
