  1. I think that's Jermaine....but I did have to check the spelling before I posted that. For Rev - back atcha
  2. Well, if that's in reply to my post, that's not at all what I was saying. I was referring to the unneccessary comments that are often included that are just derogatory slams against the "left" or the "right", etc. I'm definitely not a proponent of censorship in any form.
  3. Not a question I can answer... Looks like I need a sharper stick these days. I just felt (and still feel) that all the digs everyone feels obligated to include in their posts toward those who hold an opposing view, including the comment I referred to, are for the most part irrelevant and tend to steer otherwise important discussions in the wrong direction. I've come to realize that the best way to avoid contributing to that misdirection is to simply disregard such off-handed comments that aren't germane to the topic of discussion whenever possible. Uh oh. Have I posted outside t
  4. Amazing. You do realize the subject of discussion is freedom of the press, right? Irrelevant, and hardly what would normally be expected of someone interested in honest discussion or who is receptive to the thoughts and ideas of others.
  5. Mrs. Buford was an absolutely delightful woman. She will be greatly missed.
  6. I believe Indian Lake Ct is in Hiram, but the road was still blocked at Kimberly Assisted Living shortly after 7 pm yesterday evening when I started home from work.
  7. I know he went to school in Paulding County at least for a few years because we rode the school bus together; he was a step-brother to a distant cousin of mine. I don't believe we were old enough to be in high school at that time, though.
  8. I'm sure they're related, but I don't believe he and Danny are brothers.... I knew Kenny most of my life and one of my closest friends through high school was his daughter. I talked to her several months ago and she said he had been in poor health. I'm sorry to hear of his passing.
  9. I wasn't aware he had passed away, but I sure hate to hear of it. He was such a nice man, and so helpful.
  10. I don't remember him ever being any other way......he was polite, soft-spoken, and humble. All through school, he stayed true to who he was and always greeted you with a smile and a kind word.
  11. Mr. Jones was always a perfect gentleman and as pleasant as could be. I was sad to learn of his passing.
