Hmm. I was down that way just before 3 pm and noticed some kids walking along the fence at the subdivision across from the park. I was looking for a specific address and didn't pay them much attention, really. Judging by their height, which was all I noticed, really, one may have been around 11-12, and the other was a good bit shorter. Seven sounds about right. I hope he's just somewhere out enjoying an afternoon off school, as you suggested. May not have even been the same kid, but still... If you hear anything more and think of it, will you post it here or let me know? Th

I can relate. Doubt you'd remember me by name (it really has been a number of years since I saw you) but sending a PM anyway.

You know, that's a very fitting tribute to David. You're right, he will be sorely missed. Just a great guy all the way around. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hey Ansley. Long time no see. Like since you were in middle school. Really sorry to hear about your dad...was a privilege to call him a friend. Hope you're all doing ok. rnhc

Yeah I learned this lesson one hot summer day when my DOG locked me out of the truck as I walked to the driver's side to get in. Set my purse, keys inside, down on the floor while i was getting him situated. Fortunately I had a spare set of keys in the house, and was able to get back inside through an open window. I'd have hated to have to break a truck window to get the little dummy out before he suffered a heatstroke. I would've, though, given no other choice. I'm surprised the SO is allowed to answer these calls, rather than refer them to a locksmith who earns a l

First of all, the speed limits posted on many roads throughout this county often do not take into account the increased volume of traffic we are dealing with. What works for 40,000 people probably won't for 125,000 or more. There are at least five blind intersections between Braswell Mtn. Rd. and the city limits of Dallas, which is a distance of roughly seven miles - not to mention the number of private driveways with an equally limited view of oncoming traffic - and a school zone. If you know the location of these intersections, and that there is very limited sight distance in all directio

I hate to tell you this, but I have IE 7 and I get the error as well. -
Insurance cards: When they check the computer, it tells them YES there is valid insurance or NO there is no valid insurance. Nothing more. You still have to keep a card in the vehicle in the event that you 1) have an accident, so that your information is available to the officer and/or other party(ies) involved or 2) travel out of state where the authorities don't have access to Georgia's database. You can still be cited if you can't present an insurance card, even if your status in the computer is "valid". For newly acquired vehicles, you must present a binder that is dated no more

Thanks. I started to say as much myself, but decided against it. This is neither the place nor the time.....

His determination not to give in to illness is admirable. He will be missed. Condolences to the family.

I think I may have heard that. I'm a little west of your area, and it had thundered just a little and then stopped, and then there was this really bright flash and loud boom! I was waiting for the dog to come get into the truck with me...the noise was just the motivation Mr. Slowpoke needed to get his butt in gear. It scared me enough to close the truck door til he got close enough to get in. I hope her refusal to be taken for treatment means she was ok when the ambulance arrived & checked her out.
