If in doubt, DON'T! My daughter had a small one (about 1 x 1 1/2 inches) and after a few years, decided she did not want it anymore. The pain to get the tat was small compared to the pain to have it removed. It cost her $125 per visit for 6 visits to have it laser removed, and even with deadening shots, she said it felt like having hot oil poured on your skin.

A few years ago, a pcom member and friend of mine, was chosen for jury duty in Paulding. They were told, "Do NOT get on pcom during this trial."

I'm curious. What kind of jobs do you all have, and do your employers have objections to tats and/or piercings? I know some employers do not allow any tats that can be seen by the public, and only one set of piercings in the ears. What would you do if your employer or potential employer would not allow them? With jobs so scarce, would you quit your job and hope to find another, where it might not be a problem?

I did too, until I noticed the 'winking' smiley face. Maybe someone could enlighten us?

Looks like that's the case. See post #16.

And, how long has The Olive Tree been there? Hiram Coffee House has been there for years.

It seems to me the only consistent business in the old part of Hiram has been the coffee house. It's been there since the renovations were made to the town. There's something to be said for stability. Too bad the landlord doesn't see that and appreciate the one business that keeps people coming back. Other shops have come and gone on a regular basis, but we could always count on the coffee house! Not only that, but Helena was a huge supporter of the Hiram community and spent many hours volunteering and donating for many events. Thank you, Helena! But then again, who needs or wants a

Tie a ribbon or piece of twine or fabric around the hanger, soak it with alcohol and the ants will not cross the line.

Pike's has fruit trees. Probably Lowe's and Home Depot, too.

There used to be a coffee shop/bookstore right on the square in Dallas.

Does anyone know any good vintage clothing stores?
Mrs. C replied to its mr sarcastic to you's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I saw a Vintage by Judith sign in the upstairs windows on the square a couple of weeks ago, on Roswell Street. ETA: She still has her website. ETA: Eddie's Trick Shop has costumes for rent. -

Did that air bag deploy?

You might try the places that sell Bridal gowns or strapless evening/pageant gowns for the body glue.

I love their Paris tea and, for a decaf, the Almond. Both great teas! At home I have Twinings English Breakfast, Irish Breakfast, Bigalow Earl Gray or Lady Gray, and some Pineapple and some Macadamia Nut we order from Hawaii. Love the black teas best, usually with no cream, sugar or lemon.

People were being approved for loans far beyond their means. A young girl in our real estate office was approved for a loan on her salary alone, although she knew she should not have been approved without her fiance's income added in. So, we all understood what was going to happen when folks were being approved who had no viable means to repay the loans.

I worked for a real estate agent in GA who only handled foreclosures. The banks paid any taxes that were due on the properties.

Bone spur, I need some advice from those that have had it
Mrs. C replied to LPPT's topic in RECENT TOPICS
OK. So I had a bone spur removed from the inside arch area of my foot many years ago. Of course, I was much, much younger then. I was on crutches for about 6 weeks, but I still drove and worked. The worst part of the recovery was the bruising on the outside of my foot. It took months for the bruising to go away. I haven't had any problems since then. Good luck! -
How will our children be able to sign their name?
Mrs. C replied to Baileybleu's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Calligraphy is an art form, and takes a LOT of practice. I'd suggest she take a class to learn the basics (how to hold the pen, how to move your arm -from the shoulder, not the wrist, etc.) Then practice, practice, practice. -
How will our children be able to sign their name?
Mrs. C replied to Baileybleu's topic in RECENT TOPICS
What a shame - another lost 'art'. Back in the dark ages when I was in school, cursive was taught in the third grade and we had penmanship classes, too. We were graded on penmanship at least through the 8th grade. I don't think we were graded on it in high school, but the teachers would surely make remarks about it on our papers and report cards. Writing was much faster than printing those block letters, so everyone was anxious to move up to writing. -
My daughter held a baby shower there last August. They were great to work with, did everything promised, including her choice of soups, teas, etc. Everyone really enjoyed it! The food and teas were delicious!
