  1. If my kids slam doors, it comes off the hinges. If they yell at me, it's restriction. I have 4 teens now, and never do they yell, slam doors, or be rude to me in any way. I demand respect .. not only to myself but to others. I don't just talk to them, I do something about it. I also sit down and talk to them, find out what the problem is. But regardless, there are better ways to react than slamming doors. Being grumpy is one thing, I can do grumpy .. disrespectful to a person or to property .. not so much.
  2. My kids make me things .. Hubby gives me money to spend on myself Hubby cooks and the kids clean .. love it.
  3. It's not just a guy thing lol ... I can't remember the last time I was slept in past 8.
  4. I don't answer my door for strangers, I got mine in the mail
  5. ALL stores do it. They ALL have deceptive advertising. The trick is to beat them at their own game. If it didn't work, they wouldn't do it. We are to blame.
  6. It looks like something my daughter would do. Imagination .. is an amazing thing
  7. No, generic isn't safe. I'm so glad we don't use meds often. Dumped it all. And as for spinal alignments being silly. Tell that to my daughter who can now sit up straight, when her doctors were clueless. Please don't make comments about things you are apparently ignorant about. As far as other ways to lower a fever. There are several. Luke warm baths, a nice luke warm towel on the head, plenty of fluids. I don't give my kids meds until the fever gets out of control .. not usually the case.
  8. First off tattoo's aren't " destroying " anything. My sister inlaw is married to a Baptist minister and guess what he has ? Tattoo's yup He drew them himself. The bible is all about interpretation, and it's scary how it's words can be twisted and bent to one's will. No two people will read the bible, or any book and get the same exact message from it. My grandmother wore dresses her entire life, because the bible said she shouldn't dress like a man. Yet, it doesn't mention what exactly dressing like a man is. That part is up for interpretation. I would say though that coloring or decorating
  9. My next one is going to be a sun and beams coming out. The beams are going to be the colors of my children's birthstones. My children are my life force, they are what keeps me going. Without them, I would be nothing. Therefore, I think the sun is an appropriate symbol. I also have a drawing that my oldest daughter drew for me for mother's day .. years ago. I'm also thinking of turning that into a tattoo. Something like that, you could never regret
  10. I got my first and only tattoo at 30. I would say it's a good time to get one. By then, you know allot more about yourself then you did at 20 As far as it being a crisis .. no way .. 30's rock compared to 20's! Every decade just seems to get better and better. I'll be 40 next year, and I'm getting my 2nd tattoo. No crisis .. I have a few more gray hairs and a few laughing lines .. all happily earned. Life doesn't get worse, it changes. You need to focus on the positive changes and smile. I think the foot is a good place for one. I'm not so sure I would be brave enough for the bottom .. but
  11. I would see a chiropractor instead. Both of my elderly inlaws see their chiropractor regularly .. they have no back problems at all.
  12. Another idea is wind chimes. My kids have made them for me several times .. or sun catchers .. I can never have enough Craftbits.com This is my favorite craft website .. always tons of good ideas!
  13. I taught myself how to sew in high school. I took clothes and figured out how they were made. I never have learned how to work with patterns from the store. I just make my own. Good luck to you, and enjoy .. sewing is fun and rewarding.
  14. I recently went into the new birdwatching store on 278 .. got some really good ideas for my dad ( he loves birds ). Anyway, many of bird feeders that they sell, you can easily make fairly inexpensively.
  15. Just throw them all in the dryer and be done with it .. that's what I do I haven't ironed since high school.
  16. How awesome! I don't have the answers to your questions .. but how cool!
  17. I'm the same way. I drive a big van and I park as far away as possible from other vehicles lol. I never have been able to parallel park. Hubby is going to have to teach the kids that .. I've tried it SO many times, just can't do it. I have fliers in my glove compartment. They have mickey mouse giving the bird. It says next time leave a F$%king can opener so I can get my car out. A##holes like you, should take the bus! LOL .. I've had them for years, and I've only used one of them so far. It takes allot to upset me.
  18. Pumpkinvine Baptist Church is where I took my kids. They have a very nice, big parking lot and it's usually empty on weekdays.
  19. Exactly, I have 6 kids .. and no worries. Call me naive, but imo if you raise them right from the start, you won't have to worry when they are older.
  20. After a few years and seeing what happened to the women who slept with my ex husband, while we were still married ... I'm a true believer in karma .. it WILL come around to them, I have no doubts I just try not to worry about other people and let nature deal with them.
