  1. Can't never did do anything
  2. Just the recommended dosage on the box. I take 2 every 4 to 6 hours for day and if it's not gone by the next morning, I get my butt to a doctor. Edited to add, I haven't had to go the doc for one in almost 2 years * knocks on wood * thanks to the Alkaseltzer.
  3. My daughter had a friend over a few weeks ago. She asked me if I had any fruit snacks, I said " Sure, there are apples and oranges, right over there " Less ingredients and eating right isn't hard to do .. it's just a change in our thought process.
  4. Unfortunately, I know allot about UTI's. Kidney disease, runs in my family and I fight them all the time. This is going to sound strange but I swear it works. Alkaseltzer. The original kind ... in the blue box. I told my mom, she was floored how well it worked. You can google it, that's how I discovered it. If you catch it early enough, it will completely wipe out the UTI. I also take cranberry pills and drink lots of water. I also suggest getting in to see a doc asap, if it doesn't go away, you don't want it spreading to your kidneys. If you don't have insurance, go to the Minute Clinic at CV
  5. It actually isn't very time consuming at all. It's just a drastic change in diet. Well worth it imo. I don't do it to live forever. I want to be healthy and enjoy the time that I have here. I don't think I would be very happy having diabetes or other illnesses that can be prevented. Living my life fully and happily, is my goal. How short or long that life is, doesn't matter really.
  6. You are, and it's scary. After my daughter's near fatal incident a few years ago, we only eat things we make here at home. Anything processed, can be cross contaminated .. very scary.
  7. I don't believe when we die it's the " end ". I believe it's only the beginning. And I believe STRONGLY in karma. Not only karma in things that we do, but in things that we think as well. Nature knows all, you can't hide from it. And when we leave this life, the next life is going to be determined by all that we did in this one. Nobody gets away with anything .. nobody. That being said, I don't worry about other people and their destiny, I only worry about my own. To be angry is to let others' mistakes punish yourself. To forgive others is to be good to yourself. 8. My thoughts exactly yup
  9. We had the same problem with Peachcare a few years ago. We never did find one. We ended up resolving the problem on our own. I hope you have better luck.
  10. My daughter is allergic to tree nuts .. we make our own ice cream at home. Very scary this is .. glad we don't take chances.
  11. I buy nothing that has more than 3 or 4 ingredients. I also make allot of our food. This is why I refuse to eat outside of the house. BTW .. Kroger brand tortilla chips only have 3 ingredients .. we buy those instead of Doritos. Less ingredients and a much lower price.
  12. Yup, I agree. We don't live forever, we only get one shot at life, I'm going to do what makes me happy .. and so are my kids. There's risk in everything that we do .. make the best of it. Dieing or my kids dieing doesn't frighten me .. what frightens me is living a life afraid of everything and afraid to do anything. We have nothing to fear except fear itself. Fear can be all consuming .. this country is just going overboard with it.
  13. All I can suggest is that if you want to do it, do it now. The older you get, the harder it gets. My husband wanted to get into aviation and yeah, he's beyond most of the age limitations. It's hard to finally figure out what you want to do, only to be told sorry, too late. Go for it.
  14. I hope it works for you. It's nice to find affordable alternatives in tough economic times.
  15. Yup, I have one friend who is alive simply because he wasn't wearing one .. and I have another friend who died, because the seat belt crushed his heart. I'm not saying I'm against seat belts, I just don't believe we need more laws regarding them.
  16. This is going to sound weird but I am weird so it's okay lol. My daughter has spiral, out of control curly hair. Her favorite thing to make it soft and manageable ? Vinegar yup, cheap, simple vinegar. We put it in a spray bottle. She sprays her hair after getting out of the shower and she loves it.
  17. I would agree that it's the parent's responsibility to check these things. However, you would think that they could come up with a better material to make the slides out of. Poor little squirt
  18. Actually if anything, I would get a reduction to make them " perky " before implants anyday. Hubby agrees I personally like my small bewbies

    Accident?

Wow, I'm just glad I decided to stay in yesterday. It sounds like it was pretty scary on the roads. Many prayers and wishes for both families. I grew up with 2 very close friends. Their mother was decapitated and dad permanently disabled from a truck vs. a motorcycle. In their case, it was the truck driver's fault. However, I just wanted to say that .. we all make choices in life. We might not make the ones that others do, but it's our choices. We all have to do what makes us happy .. if that somehow shortens our time here, that was our decision. People need to stop judging and allow people to
  20. It depends on what I'm shopping for. For most things, I do my homework. I'll look online and price compare. If it's cheaper to buy it online, I do it. I might have to wait for it to be shipped but being patient is one of the things that I love about myself. It pays off in more ways than one. My van is a gas hog .. 9 times out of 10 .. It actually would cost me more to go hunting it down than it would to just order it. Amazon.com is also my new best friend .. most of the time, I get free shipping
  21. We found a little while chapel in Duluth. Sweetwater Chapel. They didn't charge us anything, as long as we made a donation. It was PERFECT! They suggested a reverend to us and we called him. He charged us $100. For pictures, we bought about 10 disposable camera's and handed them out. We got some awesome candid pictures =) We did our own catering, other than buying the cake. Had the reception at my parent's house. I bought my dress on Ebay for $25 .. the tux rental for the guys was the biggest expense. We also had our wedding on a Wednesday instead of the traditional Sat or
  22. Drink some coffee with a little bit of " real " sugar in it. It's much healthier for you .. or some tea with a small amount of real sugar or honey. Yup, same here .. chemical free for a few years now, it's amazing how nasty that stuff tastes after you've kicked it. I would rather have real sugar or honey .. walk it off .. very worth it.
  23. Nothing is changing for us ... I love homeschooling.
