I judge nobody .. however, it does look painful

It's a very sad story indeed However, being the parent of 6 kids, I could never easily pass judgment. We have dead bolts, gates, alarm systems .. ect. We do all we can as parents to protect our kids. Most of what I have learned over the years, has come from experience. I didn't have much help or guidance, as a mom. It was when one of the kids got out, I realized Rutroh, I had better put a better lock on that. Everything I have learned, I have learned through experience. I have been extremely fortunate that none of my children have ever been seriously injured. Nobody is perfect, all we can d

Yup, we spent the afternoon decorating our yule log and baking yummies for tonight's celebration.

All of our kids have TV's in their rooms. We have no regular TV. They are used for DVD's or VHS only. Our daughters love falling asleep while watching Bugs Bunny or the Smurfs They don't watch TV all day .. Only in the evening close to bedtime.

We're setting up our yule log now .. what a beautiful day

Our kids pick out or make a special ornament every year. We put their name and the year on it somewhere. We've been doing it for a long time now, our 7 foot tree is completely full of special ornaments. Good thing we have a cathedral ceiling .. we're going to need a bigger tree in a few years.

I just wish Mother Nature would learn what the term " moderation " means. In the meantime, I'll appreciate what I have .. and do my best to save as much of the water as possible .. because a few years from now, Sonny will be on those steps again. Maybe we wouldn't need to be on steps if we would learn to save what we have in the first place. -
I just wanted to say that I think it's incredibly awesome what you are doing for your daughter and grandson. If I'm lucky enough, I hope to do the same for mine someday.

One of our kids grandparents used to send gift cards every year. Sometimes Visa, other times MC .. ect. Every year it was a massive headache. We are finally only doing cash .. gift cards just aren't worth the hassle, IMO.

I was a manager for a beauty supply chain for 5 years before staying at home. After kiddo #3 .. I just decided it was time to stay home. I am a VERY busy person. I cannot stand to sit still. Even when I'm at the puter, I am constantly fidgeting Growing up my dad told me that my middle name should of been " Go " Anyway, I keep busy with hobbies. I love crafts, I can spend all day doing stuff with my kids and making things. There isn't much that I can't do. I love painting, reading, writing, you name it. I love to exercise. I love long hikes, and in the winter my treadmill is my bud. I als

Doesn't bother me at all. This world is big enough for all points of view. I'm not a Christian, but I do prefer Merry Christmas ... I say Merry Christmas, and smile at those that tell me Happy Holidays. I always try to smile at people, and spread happiness ... Because IMO that is all that really matters.

I was a pregnant teen. I fell while playing basketball and almost lost my baby. I was warned beforehand, and I knew better. It's not about being a teen, it's about being a responsible parent. Playing sports while pregnant, is never a good idea.

My kids are just waiting until they are 18

I do eat soy, in moderation. I don't believe the hype about most things. IMO, everything causes cancer one way or another. I am a vegan for ethical reasons .. however, I know the pesticides in my veggies are just as bad for me as the chemicals in other foods. It's scary to feel like no matter what you do .. there is no escape. I personally blame cancer on technology .. and you can't escape it.

Honestly, I married my best friend. I respect him and he respects me. If I ever felt the need to snoop .. I would seriously question why I am still married. If you're married for the right reasons and to your best friend .. trust usually isn't an issue.

I'm blessed to still have both of my parents. My mother was diagnosed with cancer last spring. We spent the summer riding roller coasters at 6 flags ( her favorite thing to do ). I have never taken my parents for granted. I know how truly lucky I am.

That's pretty much how I feel. We do what we can ... Why not ? But, as far as the media goes .. yeah BS.

Yup, I had a friend who's windshield was smashed for a quarter I just don't keep valuables in my van. I have 2 carseats .. but I actually had my van broken into a few years ago .. they didn't take a thing .. just left the door open guess car seats aren't on their list.

I could literally commit myself to an institution right now...

We had a VERY hard year 2 years ago. EVERYTHING that could break .. did. I cried, and pulled my hair out. I thought the sky was falling. We made it threw, eventually. I kept telling myself, at least we still have our health. Well, last year .. I nearly lost 4 family members to various things. Since then, things have broken ... but I can say, it didn't phase me. I just take it one day at a time. Smile, it does get better .. and you have your family there to love. I would also agree with going with Johnboy .. awesome guy -
I'm so glad I don't watch TV anymore

Mystery Co to bring 430 jobs to Douglas County
Teatime replied to AustinPlantation's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I read that Erikson is moving to Atlanta from NC. Not sure if it's Douglasville or not but that sounds about right as far as the amount of job openings. -
That sucks with it nearly impossible to find anyone willing to hire a pregnant lady .. you have your work cut out for you. Hopefully you'll see the silver lining soon. Everything happens for a reason.

I don't envy you. My 19 year old is still too scared to drive and my soon to be 17 year old ( tomorrow is her birthday ) doesn't want her permit until after she graduates early next year. Really, I think they are NUTS. I got my license on my 16th birthday .. I couldn't wait. I must of driven my parents mad
