You know, I was thinking that when I posted-great minds think alike!! Wish I had known then. We thought we were helping out a friend - they had to move suddenly. They said it was because he finally found a job, but it turned ot that he was the bigest dead-beat dad in Texas, and they finally caught up with him. Live and learn!! I'll never make that mistake again, but for now, I'm stuck!!

You know what they say about assuming anything- made an a$$ of myself there-so sorry!! Thank you for all the info, and you will be getting a call after we try that. We were told that it is at the beggining stages of a problem, so maybe a stronger enzyme will help. The previous owner had an "insinkerator", you know, the thing that chops up food so you can put it down the drain. Another stupid move-you can't use them on a septic line!! We removed it when we bought the place, and have always used enzymes, but maybe that's the root of the problem. We had a back-up within a few months of getting th

I was about to say the same thing-we have our septic pumped out regularly-at least every 4 to 5 years, and we own mutiple properties. I've never paid over $300-and that tank was a mess-never pumped in 40 years and needed snaking of the leach lines, and removal of tree roots. Was this Skyline? I was going to call them, but won't now!! Our problem is a blocked leach line ( 20 years old ), and we have to replace and relocated 1/2 the line. We've seen prices of anywhere from $6,000. to $3,500., so it pays to look around. We may wind up doing most of the work ourselves (digging and laying the line

i've used Tree Monster in the past. They did a great job and cost no wher near that price. Besides, I enjoyed the heck out of watching that young man work in my yard-tight jeans and all!!! LOL-gotta love it!

Lots of good info here! Do a complete application with a background check. That will tell you what you are dealing with, especially in regards to the convictions an criminal history. Keep in mind, you are talking about marijuana, not heroin, crack, meth, or pills. Generally, they are not the dangerous sort, and tend to be able to lead normal lives without the problems found with users of the other drugs. Don't be afraid to ask any questions-now is the time to do it. You have the right to add anything to your lease that might help to protect you. You should see my lease!! I've added items eve

I usually stick the card into the slot, and the picasa program starts up immediately. I have a few videos on the computer that my daughter downloaded, so I think i must have the ability to have video, but don't know how to do it. The card usually never runs out of space, and I've had over 400 pic on it at a time. Now, the camera allows me to take about 50 pic and then it beeps, and a read-out says I don't have any more room (or something like that). I will try plugging in the USB cord, and see if does anything different. If not, I will call for a walk through, and thanks for all the good infor

I,m pretty good with pictures on the computer, and use the Picasa program. I did a short video on my digital camera during Christmas, and have not been abloe to figure out how to download!! I thought I could do it just like a pic, but no way. I've tried going to "My Videos" on my computer, but no luck again-nothing to lead me to where to do the download. I even went to CVS, thinking they could download on to a DVD, but they can't. I need the space on my card for pictures becaust the grandsons birthday is coming up this weekend, but don't want to delete the only video I've ever had of him ( sin

I will certainly take your advice, and contact his doctor about a note, and yes, we must not turn a blind eye to this problem. My point was that each situation is different, and the gov't ( including public schools) are in the habit of lumping everyone into convenient groups and treating everything the same. Life isn't like that-never was, and we need to look at each situation separtely

I was born on April 22nd, and have always considered "Earth" my Mother-especially since I did not have one of my own. When they discussed having an "Earth Day'-I just knew it would be on my birthday, and it WAS!!! I have always lived "GREEN", and was thrilled to death when they decided to make "Earth Day" an annual thing. Let me tell you how I handle litter-I DON'T!!! My children were raised to put their trash in a garbage can, even if you had to look for it for a while. If it wasn't found, trash went into your pocket or purse. We always keep a trash bag in the car-if it's not there, the stuf -
HMMMM!! This has certainly gotten my attention. My grandson has struggled with weight issues since his doctor (then, not now) put him on 2 kinds of steriods at a very high dose for almost 3 years to combat his asthma. I mentioned this in a previous post about childhood obesity. He is very much aware of calorie count, fat and sugar intake, amount of fiber in his diet, etc. For a 9 year old, he is all to aware of his body image and won't wear clothes that "show his fat"! He is on a 1200 to 1500 (max) diet. He still does not lose the weight. His matabolism has been stunted by the drugs. It am

Hmm-maybe some of us should run for the next school board spot-some changes obviously have to be made. What kind of example are they giving? Following rules is good-following the rules with an understanding of the meaning of the rule is better. Following the rules & using common sense and good judgement is best. Isn't that what we are trying to teach our kids??

Be careful-I wouldn't want to see you get sued with a "defamation of character" suit or the like!!@ Seems like the kind of person who would do that to you -
A young lady in one of my rentals is baby sitting, and i think she charges $125. a week for full time days. She is very reliable and really great with kids. I would recommend her to anyone asking. Ohh-she lives close to 61 and Ridge Rd!

I am working with the local Boy Scout district, and we are hoping to get involved a spring event. The annual car show at Paulding Meadows came up, and I need to find out what organization hosts it, and get a contact name and number. Can you give me a hand with this? I would really appreciate any info that would point me in the right direction-Thanks in advance!!

I've loved wine all my life, but my taste was not shared by Ed. It was nice to find something he would like and appreciate so that we could enjoy wines together. I still do like a lot of other diferent kinds of wine, but i want to expand his repotoire of local wines. The one type I've never been to crazy about is Merolot. Don't know why.

OMG_haven't heard of that stuff since I was 15!! A really dumb "boyfriend" though he'd turn me on to something different for the holidays-it was different all right!!! I spit it across the room-only time I ever did that, then was embarrased into drinking it so as not to offend the new guy . JEEZZZ-I was sick for 2 days. He and I didn't last to long-that night it was OVER!! OK, so I was only 15, but I'd been practically raised by my friends Italian grandparents-we drank wine at every meal but breakfast!! ( you should have seen the trouble we'd get into after lunch each day when we went back to

Just an FYI-I have a beautifu house in downtown Dallas that I am considering putting up for sale this summer. it is 1850 sq. ft. upstairs and has another 240 sq. ft downstairs in a partial bsmt that we will finish before we sell. It will have a large bedroom/family room with a walk in closet and a full bathroom. Upstairs is 3 more bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, family room, living room/dining room combo, and a laundry room. It is 3rd houses off the main st, and has been completely remodeled about 5 years ago-new electric, plumbing, roof, deck, covered front porch, landscaping-everything. The effective

I've been watching the signs-Mother Nature knows her stuff-the jonquils started popping in Dec-we're not having a winter this year!! Gotta get out and rake the yard and flower beds. Want to expand the raised garden this year-all the leaves, etc, from the last few years have turned into a nice black dirt-not gonna burn everything this year!! Starting the seeds tomorrow-hope I'm not to late-good luck everybody!!

WOW- congradulations-sounds very interesting!! What do you think of Georgia's Muscadine wines? Which, if any, do you perfer? Are there any other wines that capture that same "concord" like taste? Which "sparkling wine", as opposed to champagne, do you like-any good deals out there we should be aware of? Sory about all the questions, but inquiring minds need to know, and I know no one else more qualified!!!
