My friend had that problem for years-she puts a wet towel near the bed, and when she steps on it , it wakes her up. I think she has to put a plastic mat under it to keep the carpet from getting wet. Hope this helps

When your kids grow up and move out how do you cope ?
pcs-charli replied to buggirl's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I walked around the house butt naked for a week-didn't do any laundry that week and never ran out of clothes or had to climb over the mounting pile.Ate ready made salad and didn't cook or go grocery shopping-never ran out of food Oh, and not having to close the bathroom door was a pleasure-or scream through the door that I was "taking care of business" because someone needed me RIGHT NOW. I could go on, but you get the picture. Yes, I love my kids, and I miss them (well, one of them anyway). Just saying There is so much life out there-get a hobby, ride the Silver Comet trail, go out for cof -

I like the Chinese take out place in Villa Rica behind the Wendy's on 61. It's called Kong Long-VERY GOOD. I grew up in NY, and went to China Town regularly. The owners used to live and work there-very authentic and also inexpensive. I always walk out fo there with a huge box of food-enough for two complete dinners for my whole family and I never spent over $30.

A very good example of why motorcycle drivers get a bad rap...
pcs-charli replied to tbird's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Everyone has an opinion, and I respect your right to yours, but I have to strongly disagree. I've been on a motorcycle much of my life, with different people driving/riding. I have rarely found any of them that take any chances. They are aware that their life and their passengers life are in their hands. They do everything possible to be seen, follow the rules of the road, and go above and beyond to keep safe. Few, if any, riders are out to "teach you a leson" cause there is only one lesson here. The guy on the motorcycle WILL get killed or hurt badly. They know it! What you seem to be refe -

This is sexual harrasement and/or bullying. Add to that assualt,& molestation, and you have a recipe for disaster-for your daughter at least. It has to be stopped. How can she feel safe? The adults have to stop it. If the principal won't, he's not doing his job and shoul be reported to the police and the school board-immediatly. What if they all start to think she's fair game? What will happen next? No, this can't go any further-I don't care what age they are. It is inapropriate behavior. Protect your child-no one else seems to care, you have to.

There is a big difference between a normal child growing up and being defiant, and one growing up with ADD and ODD-the others are right. Take away everything, and make her earn it back-the slightest problem, and take it away again. You have to assert you authority and keep at it-they will look for the chink in the armor, you can't have one. If she responds to losing her social freedom-use it! Get a daily report from the school-call. Try the programs that build character, but be careful of her new friends from there-there is strength in numbers, and often they will find an even worse friend th

We love the Braves, and go to a lot of games. Sadly, we found "Chipper" to be arrogant, surly, and mean. Went to see them play in Florida against the marlins-all the guys were signing autographs, but not Chipper. He told one little boy he "didn't have the time for that crap". I never liked him again. glad he's retiring. He wasn't that great at the end anyway Can't remember the other players name, but he stopped as he was leaving ( tired kids in the back seat and all) came out to meet the kids and sign autographs, shake hands. That's what's it's all about. The kids were delerious with joy.

I have some questions about Incorrigible Child laws
pcs-charli replied to nschur's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Mine growled like the excorcist when she was born, ate cigerette butts whenever she could find them, had colic, her days and nights mixed up, and refused to nurse. Yes, i do understand why some amimals would kill their young. At the time, I was young, and thought it was just a quirk-something she would out grow. i know I sound nuts, but it is the one thing in my life I can't handle. Otherwise, I am a happy, well adjusted, productive individual. There has been at least 5 years between our last contact. Maybe i will never see her again. i don't know weather to laugh or cry-celebrate or go to -

I have some questions about Incorrigible Child laws
pcs-charli replied to nschur's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I have learned that getting it out is healing. I also would like to help the others going through this to know they are not to blame. I have found my peace in this world. I do not ever see my daughter, and never want to again. I am not strong enough to go through it again. -

I tried that one-took out everything but the bed. Even took off the door. i was almost arrested and hauled to court for depriving her of her privacy. didn't matter that she was trying to burn the house dopwn with us in it.
