I love his movies and will still watch them. However as a person, I have no respect for him whatsoever. Any man who could treat his wife that way, what a dog. The other problem I have with him is what he did on his last day in office as CA governor. He proved himself to be a scumbag politician when he reduced the sentence of a murderer who assisted in the stabbing death of three people, just because the murderer was the son of Arnold's political buddy. Esteban Nuñez"s sentence was reduced by Arnold at the last minute, with no chance of protest by his victims or family members. What a piece of

Sorry but even my wife starts laughing when she sees a guy running or even walking around with his shirt off. She starts singing "He's too sexy for his shirt!"

I actually heard on a radio news report this past week as to an excuse for prices rising up to $4 and beyond around Atlanta in the past few weeks. The report said that prices rose in our area due to the "anticipation" of flood waters reaching the oil and gas refineries on LA. Mind you the water had not reached the refineries, but the powers controlling prices "anticipated" that they might so there fore they raised prices. I immediately thought of standing there in front of one of these individuals and looking him in the eye. I reach back and bust him in the mouth and he yells out, " What the h

I have quite a few tats and do not regret any of them, they all have meaning. I would give you the same advice I'm giving my kids who are now reaching ages where they are wanting to get one. Don't get a tat just to get a tat. Have something created that is meaningful to you, or something that you've wanted for a long time. Even if you have to wait for a long period of time, it will be worth more than that meaningless design that you get one night on a whim. As far as pain, from my experience anything that will require the inking over bone will be more painful. I have one that went to my ankle

Here we are again on one of my favorite subjects, Sunday alcohol sales. As far as a family history of alcoholism, I've seen it as well, but I'm sorry there is no connection as far as I'm concerned. The subject of alcoholism is not relevant, as if an alcoholic decides they will not drink on Sundays, but if passed will now drink their life away. Point is, alcohol is a legal product folks, it's not like it's a illegal drug here, just treated that way on Sunday. I've had to hear all my life, oh there's no religious reasons to the law, yeah BS. Strictly based on religious beliefs that drinking alco

Hey paying sales tax in PC when you live in Cobb gets you a special pass anyway! I would think that anyone that ventures to this site has some sort of connection to PC, be it residence, history, business, family or just admiration. I for one can't imagine signing up for a county oriented website that I have no connection or interest in what so ever. The fact that they are here says our county, people and culture has garnered their interest, that's what counts!

Woman shoots knife-wielding intruder in Gwinnett
HiPlainsDrifter replied to GeorgiaTornado's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Any time a criminal preys on a citizen in the US they are gambling on the chances that the victim is not carrying a firearm. Well this low life took his chances and paid with his life. I feel no sympathy for him what so ever, he took those chances. This woman defended herself and saved the taxpayers a lot of money, foregoing a trial, jail time ( which would have been short anyway) and then his release back into public so he could do it again. Good riddance. -
How does someone qualify for that much in food stamps! Good God, I could feed my family and the neighbors with that much per month. Maybe I'm different, but my wife and I shop smart and I can't say we eat bad, but with the highest number of people in the house at one time in a month, maybe 4, we might spend $500-600 per month. The story I saw on the news infuriated me to the point I wanted to interview the guy myself for stealing our tax dollars. He's a thief and a leech. I have no problem with turning people in for stealing money that we work so hard for during working hours when they are sit

I fell asleep in front of the tv last night and awoke to the announcement. I can't explain the relief I felt knowing that this piece of filth was dead. Sharing a phone call last night with my son who is deployed was meaningful as I can remember the very day in 2001 I picked him up from school early and he knew at that young age what tragedy had taken place. I can't express how proud I am of our armed forces for what they've done to hunt down the animals who attacked us that day. I'm also not the biggest fan of President Obama, and many politicians for that matter, no matter what party, but a b

I love the Atlanta Braves, almost as much as my Falcons, so this is not by any means a bashing session. With the events taking place over the last week in the Braves organization involving McDowell and Lowe it left me thinking about something. Roger McDowell was placed on administrative leave due his comments to some hecklers at the Gaints stadium during a game in the presence of young children. He was firing back at some Giants fans who apparently were heckling him and another player and used what has been described a homophobic comments. When a father that was sitting near by with his daught

The punter decision left me scratching my head as well, but Dimitroff seems to make those type of decisions and then later I tend to see the reasoning. Before the draft started I was all about getting a defensive player and when I heard they were trying to trade up to get a WR, I started to get mad myself. Then when I'm sitting there and see Jones being picked, it all made sense and I visualized Ryan looking down field at White, Gonzo, and Jones and I couldn't wait for the season to start.

I understand that so many people have a huge fear of snakes and that's something that will never change. What I've never understood is the mentality of going out of one's way to kill a nonpoisonous snake. I think a lot of this mentality is taught behavior, and I say that because of what I've seen throughout my life. I for one love snakes and have never been afraid of them. I respect the deadly ones for what they are capable of doing, but I also realize they have a very important place in the environment that keeps things in balance. I began catching and releasing nonpoisonous snakes as a kid a

Another case of Americans living their lives vicariously through the star of the moment. The Lohans, the Spears, the Royals, whoever they may be, TMZ and Entertainment Tonight rules the masses. Sorry I don't get the excitement myself, it's not even our country. If you're British, then so be it, I would understand, but otherwise I don't get it at all. Even our local news affiliates has included bits of information in their news cast about this occasion! I was watching tonight on a local channel after our weather forecast and then we go to the royal wedding, yeah that affects Atlanta.

Is he an NFL player? If so you could get the media involved and more jail time. He will never own another animal and the public will ensure that happens. I'm being sarcastic of course. I'm not a Vick fan. I'm just bringing it up to show how the public views animal cruelty and hypocrisy. Low lifes abuse animals every day and the punishments go up and down like a rollercoaster. It all depends on who you know, what's in it for the prosecutors, media etc. It sounds like he knows someone within the system or has gained sympathy. Either that or they just don't deem him worth the time and energy. It

My wife and I have gone downtown so many times and said out loud to each other how cool things "could" be in downtown Dallas. We've only lived here for a couple of years and never knew of any religious or political road blocks in opening businesses downtown. We visit the square in Dahlonega, Marietta and other places all over GA that are just as rural as Dallas, so there's no reason for the mentality, it can only be the people. Those squares in Blairesville, Dahlonega, etc, have good old county folk living near by also, but they have no problem with a cafe or coffee shop being set up in town. O

My heart goes out to Spc. Gary Lee's family. As a father of a deployed soldier I feel such a huge loss when a soldier is lost in battle and my hearts goes out to the families. I am so thankful of Spc. Gary Lee's service and hope that our Atlanta community protects his grieving family from these heartless and evil protesters.

Is that what happened to some of Heath's Baptist and religious heroes that have been caught with little boys or just enjoying the company of another man? They took a drink of the debil's juice on Sunday? I bet Heath has an urge to take a sip on Sunday himself now. Heath sounds like a guy who has a frequent shopper card at Starship and wants to sit in the judges chamber and throw stones. People like that can keep their inbred thinking to themselves. The world is passing them by and there's nothing they can do, we will move forward. I'll raise my glass of whiskey to him as well!!!

It's about time! Now at least we can let the voters choose. See ya at the polls and at my favorite liquor store on Sunday at 12 sometime in the near future. Now I'll raise my glass to the the Georgia Christian Coalition and take this sip of Whiskey!

What's up with the house on Bobo?

Some folks just start celebrating a little earlier than others. Nothing wrong with that. I bet they like this song..... http://youtu.be/yNihdxHII7A -
Ringing my doorbell after dark and not having the face or voice of my neighbor, family member or delivering the pizza I ordered, may get you a few things. Me calling PCSD Me standing behind the door with a loaded 12gauge because I wonder if it's a home invasion. or You being answered by my 130 pound Rottweiler. Word of advice, don't go door to door selling things after dark. (If you're selling AT&T, I wouldn't buy it if it were a bucket of water and I was on fire.)

Anyone ever quit smoking cold turkey?
HiPlainsDrifter replied to jennilyn77's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I have never been a smoker, but my wife quit cold turkey 3 years ago and has never smoked since. She was physically forced to quit when she became very sick with a flu virus that gave her bronchitis. She was on the verge of pneumonia and realized she had to stop in order to breathe. The first few days were hell for her, but after she became well she basically thought that after making it that far she could keep going and has never smoked again. It was extremely difficult for her after smoking 20 years, added with the chaos that I had just been diagnosed with cancer weeks earlier and she was de -
I honestly don't see how a car going through a flashing yellow light could be ticketed, unless he just blew through it and was judged not to be using caution. Page 74 of the manual clearly states, that you proceed with caution and does not by any means say that you come to a stop at a flashing yellow light. There's no gray area on this issue.

I've done the drive many times in the past few years with my wife and kids. We do the very long drive starting in Dahlonega and heading north into Cherokee. It's a long drive but one that makes me very proud to live in this part of the country. Like others have said, don't let the weather in your driveway the morning you leave fool you. Once you get into the mountains, and especially Smokey Mountains National Park, there is no telling what you may experience. I wouldn't bet on traveling the Blue Ridge Parkway this time of year, its always hit and miss and can sometimes be closed till the first
