  1. A few I have seen numerous times and will stop on it when I am flipping channels and even put in the DVD some days. All of the Clint Eastwood Westerns The Dirty Harry Movies Open Range Tombstone The Proposition No Country For Old Men Fargo Very Bad Things (the original Hangover) Raising Arizona The Jerk Apocalypse Now Full Metal Jacket Saving Private Ryan Heat Goodfellas Casino Training Day Braveheart Predator any many more
  2. In our house it's both of us. We both will walk in on each other and see that the other is watching something that we have seen a 1000 times and roll our eyes. I'll make a comment like, " oh my God you're watching that again?" and she will always say" Ok I guess I'm going upstairs tonight and let you watch that again." With her it's anything from late 70's early 80's Goldie Hawn and Chevy Chase movies, to numerous dramas and suspense movies. With me it's many action flicks and westerns. We come together every now and then for a few that we like to watch together over and over as well. They are
  3. One can call on free speech all they want, but when you are on the clock for an employer and especially wearing a uniform with their logo, you represent the COMPANY in the eyes of the customer. Even if you are off the clock and still in uniform or in the company of customers it matters. The customer sees the company when it sees an employee, not just an individual. I think it's very unprofessional to express one's self so openly in certain business environments. I know there will be some that will say they see nothing wrong with it, but can you say the same if he had sat down next to you with
  4. One carving on the face of Stone Mountain of historical figures related to the geographical area, which was created with permission and a point of interest for tourist for decades. Another carving at Mt Rushmore of chosen Presidents of the United States which was also created with permission and another point of interest for tourist now for decades. Now let's equate those to the art I pass on Marietta Boulevard that notates gang signs and certain words I cannot type here due to the graphic nature. All created with a can of Krylon by someone who does not have permission ,who is trespassing. Hmm
  5. Killing them all and let God sort them out is not my mantra actually, it seems to be the murderers mantra, you know the one's that deserve so much sympathy. Apparently you've researched the criminals of our world and the evils they have been subjected to, have you ever attended a murder victims meeting or a funeral? Bring your violin to play there and see how that works out.
  6. I was so happy with the gifts this year as I am every year. My wife who knows me so well gave me a new Rush DVD and two Clint Eastwood DVDs to add to my collection. She is the perfect mate for me as she knows my personality, my likes, dislikes and everything about me. I love her so much. She also got me two pairs of comfy pants and the Medal of Honor game for our PS3 that I've been wanting. She also bought me the 3 disc set of Apocalypse Now which I've wanted for some time. My daughter gave me a very nice new dress shirt for work. My son who is deployed surprised me beyond belief with a gift t
  7. Too much confusion here, and far too much blood bleeding out. Let's form a drum circle.
  8. We can't bring back to life the innocent victims of the parasitic low lifes that murdered them and prey on society either. Those innocents are gone forever lost at the hands of murderers. I bet that list is much longer than your list. Sorry like I said my sympathy well for those pieces of crap is dry.
  9. Our country has become far too litigious as far as I am concerned. This whole situation is so blown out proportion and the fact that tax payer money is being spent to prosecute someone because they looked at their wife's email is absolutely stupid. This is obviously an issue between the wife and husband, who had problems to begin with. I find it interesting how many people find so much fault with the man in this story and the woman is such a victim. If this were a real criminal case and officers entered a house illegally and happened to find 20 pounds of illegal narcotics, I could still say, y
  10. I always love to hear the reasons for the rise in the price a barrel of oil. Over the past few years it's been: 1.China and India are expanding so rapidly that the demand became increased and therefore we were not the preferred customer, prices rise. 2.Too much oil on the market drove prices up. Too much drilling. 3.Not enough oil on the market, drove prices up. Too little drilling. 4.Natural disasters. Some that hit refineries in certain areas, although gas prices were affected across the country. The list goes on and on. I just think they are always looking for a reason in some wa
  11. We could also use the same mentality and say that since there are innocent people being imprisoned, that this form of punishment should be halted as well. The chance cannot be taken that an innocent person should be sent to serve his life in prison therefore we cannot use prison as a form of punishment. After all spending one's entire life behind bars is a pretty harsh punishment. I certainly believe that the chance for an innocent person to be sent to death row exist. Which is why in this day and age science should be used to it's fullest potential to determine whether or not we are endi
  12. Ahhhhh and so it begins. As the season comes to an end, everything gets back to normal.
  13. The wife and I have enjoyed sitting by the fire the past few days and staring at the snow outside.
  14. I guess I'm in the minority among the group. We put our tree up the weekend after Thanksgiving and usually take it down around News Years. Unlike everyone else, I actually hate to take it down to a degree. I just love this time of year, and putting away the decorations means it has officially come to an end pretty much. I've just never been in a hurry to take it down.
  15. I'm getting so sick of so called sports reporters spending time on crap like this. If I wanted to know about this type of mindless crap I would watch TMZ. I don't care why Tom Brady is growing his hair or where he was seen or what athlete is dating who, leave that gossip B--S-- to the entertainment mags. Any die hard football fan should be ashamed of themselves for even seeking out this crap. Fans talk about how proud they are that they're a fan of a manly sport that is so brutal and tough, yet they're listening to reporters talk about the hair length of the athletes? Or what fetish the coach
  16. Yeah I have advice, don't get behind me at night! I've had too many cars with those lights come up on me at night and shoot their beams into my car bright enough to give me a tan. I don't know what idiot passed those things, but I'd like to ride behind him on a country road for 50 miles with them shining right in his rear view mirror and dare him to complain. Yeah they are great for a driver to light up the road, but for oncoming cars and cars that they may be riding behind ,it can be actually dangerous. I've found myself to be temporarily blinded for a second when I've had a truck ride up beh
  17. I guess that's my problem. I don't have the patience to watch a 30 minute show interview with rappers or the latest on lady gaga while reading the news on a ticker at the bottom of the screen. I want my news live all the time. I do think that there are a large number of people that will go to a news stations site to view a story rather than sit through an entire newscast in order to watch the 2 minute story they seek.
  18. Who dat beat da Saints? Da Ravens! Falcons looked good today. Can't wait for the playoffs!!!
  19. Over the past few years I have migrated away from from newspapers and now use the internet exclusively over any print version of news. Those reasons have been discussed before on here during numerous posts. I have found myself using the internet for video news more and more as well. Just this week I sat down to watch the local news and had to sit through fluff and chatter, not to mention who's dating who in Hollywood before getting to the closings I needed to know about. I finally went straight to the internet and had my answer within 1-2 minutes. I began to think about this tonight when I sat
  20. I thoroughly enjoy cooking, especially for my wife and family. I used to cook to a small degree but my ex insisted that she do the cooking because she could do it "the right way." My wife's ex was a chef who pretty much told her the same thing, so what skills she had never flourished. When we met, cooking was something that quickly became a skill and event that we could enjoy with each other that was not allowed by the former people in our lives. Now we have certain meals that we cook from time to time, where I prepare a dish and she is great at preparing another part of the meal. We look for
  21. What she said. My wife and I drive that way quite a few times a week. You'll see the IHOP, TED'S and the WellStar hospital on the left as you approach the intersection. E/W Connector crosses Austell, it's one big intersection.
  22. So let me get this straight. The organization for women, who don't represent all women, as my wife says, is suing on behalf of parents who think that Hooters is harming minors and violating the law? Now I understand the violate the law part, if they question it that is, but as far as harming minors, why did they take their kids there in the first place? Maybe I'm missing something. The whole harming minors part is laughable. I picture this couple taking their kids to this establishment named "Hooters" that they have never heard of course. They obviously thought the waitresses would be dressed
  23. Could someone point out where in the constitution it says that a person has a "right" to sue? I know we as Americans can sue if we feel our constitutional rights have been violated, but that is based on laws. Personally I think this is just another case of a group wanting to start trouble. In this case it's a group of women who wouldn't eat in the place to begin with, much less work there. They sure wouldn't let their daughters work in the place. Hooters is just what it is, a restaurant that caters to people that want eat greasy bar food and be served by women wearing skimpy outfits. If you
  24. I second the thank you. The local news is good, but this site involves neighbors who narrow it down to our little part of paradise. Reading post from actual neighbors and friends in the area traveling home was much more helpful in some ways. Thanks again.
