Have you looked here: http://www.cobbsuperiorcourtclerk.org/scripts/CourtsCV.dll/CivilSearchByName I'm not sure if it goes back to the 1980's or not.

Same thing just happened here but my virus scanner didn't pick anything up. Time to call my help desk and have them run a virus scan.

Actually, I have and no one knows who supplied the info. I'm almost wondering if it was possible to have somehow gotten the information from the Census earlier this year. That would tell them the names and ages of the people living in the house, but I'm not sure if that information is sold to private companies.

Ridiculous? I open the door and some guy that I've never seen before says "Hi Lisa, I want to show you some information that will help [insert princess's name here] do well in school. I can speak with you and [hubby's name] if he is available." Me: Princess isn't in school in Paulding. Him: I know, she doesn't start school until _____, but the information I have will help [princess] start off on the right foot. I've visited with your neighbors [fill in several names here] and their kids [fill in names here]. He will then tell you the ages of those kids and what schools they go to.

Vader - keep your eyes open. He was seen in our subdivision off of Ridge and also in a subdivision on Sweetwater Church - you're in between.

In talking to him for only a minute or two, I got the impression that he was legit, but a little too overzealous. He had on an ID badge, but I was in a hurry and didn't look at it closely because I was in a hurry. He also started pulling out the study guide he was trying to sell, but I told him I didn't have time to listen so he put it away. It just really bugged me that he seemed to know a lot of information about us and I don't know where it came from.

I live off of Ridge Road and this is the same guy that has been in our neighborhood too. I don't know where he got his information from, but when he came to my house, he knew how old the princess is, he knew that one of my neighbors is a teacher and her child's age, and he was consistently reciting parent's names and kids and ages of families in the subdivision to me. He kept saying that he only needed 5 minutes of my time and that he was doing this to get college credit - he told that he was from "Europe" to explain his accent, but didn't say which country. I told him that I didn't hav

Please open the attached link. It is a youtube video of a very sweet Paulding County woman (Michelle Vernon) who has a phenomenal voice and an amazing heart for orphans. 104.7 (The Fish) is having an opening act contest. The person that gets the most views gets to be the opening act at the Celebrate Freedom contest in September and, MORE IMPORTANTLY, gets $10,000 donated to the charity of their choice. Michelle's charity is New Horizons for Children. Please click on the link and hear this amazing woman sing. Thanks!

A favorite food or menu item no longer available?

Here's a favorite that I still miss -- the honey mustard crusted chicken from the old Cotton Gin restaurant in Hiram. I've tried to make it several times but I can't even come close. -
I fail to see how letting girls do what most little girls love to do is so shocking. Little girls love to play dress up and get their nails painted. I let the princess do that and I've turned it into mother/daughter time - something a lot of parents are either too busy or not interested in doing. That's not going to turn the princess into a spoiled brat - it's teaching her that even though things get hectic sometimes, she and I can do something special together. And, a spa day costs about as much as going to McD's and then to a movie.

My credit card debt is just fine. If I can't afford to pay for something, we don't do it, it's as simple as that. As for how I will "top" a spa day as she gets older, that's a non-issue. Spa days are time for her and I to spend together having fun, it's a treat that I can afford to give me and my child so we do it. If something happens and I can't afford to do it, then I'll stop and will gladly explain to the princess why we can't do it.

LOL - If you think middle school is bad, I'm about to get the bad parent of the millenium award. The princess (who is 3 1/2) has been to spa birthday parties and has had a couple of "spa" days. For littles ones, these "spa" days are nothing more than getting their nails and toes painted and sometimes a "facial" (w/cold creme or something similar) and a hair style. Little girls love to have these things done and I have fun spending time with the princess during it. As for the Coach purses, those are like any other purses that people buy - if you can afford it, I don't see anything wrong

Under $50.... In midtown, you could probably do South City Kitchen or RiRa (both are good). You could probably do Uncle Julio's (my fav mexican place) or Houston's (both close to Piedmont Hospital). Maybe the Buckhead Diner. AND, there's always the Varsity....

Have you tried a cell phone signal enhancer (one of those things you attach to the back of your cellphone)? I've heard that they help, but I haven't tried one personally.

I've done all of my banking at Bank of America for 20+ years (I started with them when they were still C&S National Bank). I don't have ANY complaints and I highly recommend them. We have (or have had at various times) checking, savings, CDs, money market, mortgage, car loans, and credit cards with them and they have always been great to deal with. To me, you always have a better banking relationship when you go into the branch and talk to someone about your account so you can establish a relationship with them. Now, when I have a question about one of our accounts or if we decide to b

I do know about that one, but we've haven't been to that one yet. Have you tried it yet? I hope it's as good as the ones in Atlanta.

I don't have a favorite restaurant in Paulding. We've lived here almost 20 years and I can't come up with one that I would call a "favorite." We do have a few good chain restaurants here, but again, nothing that I would call my favorite. Steak: Ruth's Chris (Atlanta) Seafood: Oceannaire in Atlanta or Marietta Fish Co. Mexican: Uncle Julio's (on Peachtree just south of Piedmont Hospital) All American: Marietta Diner Burger: Vickery's in Atlanta

One thing that we have to keep in mind is that the DA's office doesn't schedule the cases on the court's docket - that is up to the judge.

I've watched the video a couple of times, and read all of the posts. The video doesn't rise to the "smoking gun" that I thought it would be (especially if you read all of the posts first). Sure, the wideload comment was a little tasteless, but when does a tasteless comment make you unqualified to hold public office (take our illustrious Vice President for example)? As for the issues with WFAL - in my opinion, things have gotten out of hand on both sides and neither one wants to step down. However, after being a juror in a trial where Mr. Lane was the prosecutor, I will not vote for hi

I don't have a dog in this hunt since I'm not in this district, but Jason was not only a member of GALEO, he served as the Secretary on the Board of GALEO.

I stopped and voted on my way to work this morning - unfortunately, there were more poll workers at Austin Middle School than there were voters (only 3 voters there, 4 if you want to count the fact that I had the princess with me). PLEASE REMEMBER TO VOTE!!

Shoot, somebody better warn this guy -- I love me some Target shopping and I'm a big woman so if I land on you from any height, you're gonna need some Obamacare!! Think I'll borrow the hubby's truck the next time I need to run to Target just in case....

Anyone see this article about Steve Golden?

So, what is more important to Mr. Stout - his job at the bank or representing Paulding County????? Missing key votes, whether excused or not, is still missing key votes.
