  1. I voted for 45 mins to an hour. I work in Midtown Atlanta, but my work hours are adjusted so I don't get to work until 9:30 and usually leave Atlanta around 6:00 so I miss a lot of bad of traffic. There really isn't a lot I can do about my commute since the princess comes in with me for daycare. Also, one of the main reasons I work in Atlanta is that the payscale is significantly higher in Atlanta for a legal assistant than it is in Paulding County.
  2. <----- Not your stalker, but I will share that Fortified Hills Baptist Church in Dallas has a food ministry and happily accepts donations (and is open every Thursday night for those in need).
  3. I'm an old fart, but nothing irritates me more than to try to carry on a conversation with someone while they are typing on a computer -- it's distracting.
  4. Not me. Maybe they're off the air???
  5. No problem. I recommend your just "stopping by" for an unannounced visit just to ease some of your concerns.
  6. Here is a link from the State with inspection information on the two Reflections Learning Academies in Paulding County. http://decal.ga.gov/ProviderSearch/SiteLis...z=&st=D,G,F
  7. My 2 year old princess is obsessed with talking about boobies. Yes, that's right. So yesterday, while we're at lunch with DH's father, she asks her Paw Paw if he has boobies. He said "no." DH and I were really trying not to laugh. She said "you have big boobies" and points to his chest. He said "no, I don't have boobies." She said, "I have big boobies and they're right here under my dress." Thankfully, she was in a highchair with a seatbelt on or she would have proudly pulled her dress up.....
  8. I didn't get estimates first -- I called our insurance company (Cotton States), told them that I wanted to file a claim because we had some shingles come off of our roof and I wanted them to look at it to see the extent of the damage before I got a roofing company involved. They came out, inspected my roof and told me that I did, in fact, have hail damage and needed to have my roof replaced. And, once the insurance company sent me the check for the new roof, I got in touch with a roofing company that was highly recommended to me (Cox & Sheffield) and now I have a new roof. The roofe
  9. Did anyone else open this message just to make sure they weren't talking about you? As soon as I read the title, I had to open it to make sure there wasn't a camera crew peeking into my house right now....
  10. We're appealing the taxes on our boat this year.
  11. Our boat value INCREASED from $21,000 last year to $34,000 this year. Seriously!
  12. I work everyday and the princess goes to daycare (and has gone since she was 3 months old). She's loved by her teachers and loves "going to school." Yes, I'm away from her during the day, but we have the evenings and weekends together. I'm not sure why people think it's better to keep their kids at home - being at home with them during the day doesn't make you a better parent, just as having to work doesn't make you a bad parent. So, don't feel guilty about have to put your child in daycare - you have to work in order to provide for your family.
  13. I am so sorry to hear this. RIP in sweet angel. My prayers are with Denise, Philip and their daughter.
  14. I would pay that much for a cute bow - especially if I need one to match one of the princess's outfits. The princess has lost a good number of hair bows since she was born two years ago, but I tend to keep better track of the more expensive hairbows and bring those out for pictures, church or special occasions.
  15. My prayers to go out to the family.
