That's the thing, I'm not asking you to lower my taxes. I'm asking you not to spend money on projects that we can't afford, regardless of who is helped. If you vote to spend millions of dollars on improving the roads and infrastructure for Paulding, where will that money come from? If you vote to save homeowners $300 a year, what happens to the worthwhile projects that may be funded from that money? If balancing the budget means that my taxes don't go down, then I'm okay with that. Saying that you're going to cut taxes is a canned political answer, but if we can get (and keep) Georgia

Here's my "local issue" for Mr. Avery: I want a candidate that will CLEARLY and EMPHATICALLY say NO and not vote to spend more money that our State doesn't have. I want a candidate who will stand up and simply say "NO, WE CAN'T AFFORD IT." It doesn't matter how wonderful the program or how much help it will provide to a needed group, if we don't have the money, then I want him to vote NO and not to spend it. No more robbing Peter to pay Paul or implementing a program and then creating a new tax (or fee) to cover the cost of the latest/greatest program. I want a candidate that will tak

Praying for you both! If you have a problem remembering questions for the doctor - get a little notebook to keep in your purse. Write any questions you have in it as you think of them and just pull it out when you go to the doctor.

www.bfads.com - they update as soon as they get ads.

I definitely look early. And, you will notice that some of the ads might get pulled at the request of some stores because their ads get leaked too early.

My SIL despises her front loader - it doesn't get clothes as clean. It also has something that you take out and clean periodically - if you don't reinstall it correctly, it will leak and get water everywhere.

Wow, for $1.99, it's time to stock up!!!

It's very cheap. I recently paid about $6 for a spool of 25 yards of it at Joann Fabrics. They had smaller spools for less.

Santa Pics with Johnboy Automotive & Charlies Angels

And, it has carried over until today for us. When the princess went into preschool this morning, the first thing she told her teacher was that she saw Santa this weekend and took him food. Thanks again everyone for a great event!! -
Thanks - gg-grandfather had a brother named Pinkney, who remained in Georgia after he moved to Sand Mountain, Alabama. Here's a scary thought - I think that makes us very distantly related....

You rock!!! I definitely will. I also think that this research is about to become a great new hobby.

Wow, that's interesting. According to the manuscript, James Anderson Wigley (my ggg-grandfather) was born in Alabama and his wife, Julia Ann Parris, was born in South Carolina as were her "people." According to this, Parris Island was named after her ancestors. James and Julia and their 11 children lived somewhere on the battlefied near Missionary Baptist Church and the cemetery. There was a story about one of the Wigley girls having to run across the battlefield to get to the place where they had hidden food.

I'm researching the Wigley family. I've only read the first portion of the manuscript so I'm not sure if there were other relatives there or not.

I found out something interesting today - my ancestors are from Paulding County. They lived here before and during the Civil War and then moved to Alabama a few years after that. But, apparently, some of my great great great grandparents are buried in the old New Hope Cemetery that was at one time next to (or close to) Missionary Baptist Church. I read this information in a family history written by my great aunt back in the 1960s. Does anyone know where this cemetery is located and where the Civil War Marker in New Hope is located? I would love to go explore sometime and check it out.

Everyone involved in this gets a HUGE HUGE thank you from me. The princess has been talking about her visit with Santa all afternoon. And the picture is adorable!!! Congratulations on getting so much food!!

Couple of quick questions: 1. What is the cost if I don't bring canned food items? 2. What size picture and do you get it right then? 3. Will I have the option of ordering more pictures and do you know the cost? Thanks - this is a great idea!!

Westlaw can get expensive pretty quickly so depending on the amount of research you need to do, look at the per hour cost and the per transaction cost. But, as a student, you should be able to get it at a discounted rate.

We have Cigna and have $100 ER copay (that is waived if you end up being admitted). And, to encourage us to visit an urgent care doctor over the ER, we have a $30 copay to go to there instead.

Here's my dilemma - I'm a republican and I have no one to vote for in this race. I clearly stated that I would not vote for Braddock in the primary and I didn't. And, I cannot in good conscience do so now. While there are those that have met her and were impressed and/or satisfied with her responses, I've met her and I wasn't impressed or convinced that she is a good choice for our state representative. She came across to be as being very self-centered, lacking a clear direction, and merely looking for a way to gain her "15 minutes of fame." Now, flip it over to Avery - a young, inexp

3 cats and 2 dogs died - the fire started in a trash barrel, then spread to a shed, then to the house over about 2 hours. Those deaths have nothing to do with the fire dept.'s response - that has more to do with irresponsible people not taking the time to make sure that their pets were safe. I'm torn on this issue - it's very easy to see both sides of this story.

Just buy a good pair of tights to go under the costume. If it's too cold, give her a blanket to wrap around her between houses. Or, you could buy her a cape to go over her costume. I'm sure there are less expensive versions out there, but here is a link for a pretty pink one: http://www.chasing-fireflies.com/pink-princess-cape/productinfo/31606/

Union workers generally don't have employment contracts and if they do, there is almost always a "termination for cause" provision (I've never seen one without it). The collective bargaining agreement is usually what they try to fall back on - they use the section that allows them the right to file a grievance and say that a multi-step discipline process should be used. However, the Company usually has a provision in there saying that the use of and being under the influence of alcohol and illegal drugs during work hours is cause for termination and that usually prevails. Here's a complete different take on Comcast. We've tried to become their customer and CAN'T. Seriously, we currently have Dish Network and AT&T and decided to switch to one of the Comcast bundle packages to save money (if we could get it installed, it would save us about $100 a month). But, when DH ordered it, they finalized the order and then scheduled it to be installed on a day/time when no one would be home. He said no and the customer service rep said that she would cancel the order and that he could place the order again when we could work our schedule out. So, I attem

My guess would be that these guys will get fired. They will file grievances with the union and the cases will ultimately go to arbitration. If the Company doesn't decide to give them money to walk away (thus saving attorneys fees), an arbitrator will most likely uphold the discharge and these guys will stay fired, but it will still cost the company and the union money (attorneys for these big corporations aren't cheap). My bosses have done so many arbitrations for situations like this that it's silly.

Our sweet adorable rottweiler once ate the siding off of the back corner of our house and DH's storage shed. When he chewed the pipes and some of the wires that connected our a/c to our house, I started referring to him as DH's dog....
