  1. He knows what kissing is. Some of y'all tend to read words that just aren't there...
  2. Said the person with the taxpayer-funded job and benefits.
  3. And people wonder what's wrong with young people these days - just watch how their parents treat others and it becomes crystal clear.
  4. People think they want to know everything til they do. Problem is, once you know you can't ever go back to a time that you didn't.
  5. How on earth do 'adults' teach their children to deal with conflict these days if they let someone's differing view of the world get under their skin the way some of you have? Since you weren't compelled to give your link a creative title, I didn't feel it was worth my time to look at whatever is there
  6. I tried to listen to it and couldn't. She's creepy and weird. The speech patterns and outright lies of sociopaths make me want to smack them upside the head and tell them to get real already. Go insult someone else's intelligence, I have no patience for it or them.
  7. Most people today are 1) too damn nosey in general and 2) so busy minding everybody else's business they have no time for or interest in minding their own. It's beyond ridiculous.
  8. And showing their utter lack of ethics in doing so. Anyway, that explains the past couple years. What about the decade before that? And the one before that, too...
  9. Yes they have. Not sure at what point they'll acknowledge that what's promised and what comes to pass are two very different things, but that's their talking point. Unfortunately, rather than use their amassed fortunes to put people to work, these companies (specifially Google) are reserving their billions for things like acquisitions...or so they say. Ugh.
  10. Rhonda was a devoted wife, mother and daughter and one of the sweetest people I've ever known. She had a smile for everyone she met - she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
  11. I understand most people can't/won't refrain from striking back when antagonized but this type of post is nothing more than you trying to be funny at the expense of another person who has not only NOT antagonized you but hasn't addressed you directly in this thread at all. If another kid did this repeatedly to yours, that kid would be considered a bully. In this case it's just lame.
  12. I realize the information is there for those who seek to find it, and I'm all for freedom of speech but was it necessary to post instructions on how to steal data from a computer when it would have sufficed to say it's much easier to do than most might believe? Businesses are required by various laws to implement costly measures to protect data only to have people undermine their efforts by casually including a how-to for thieves in open forums such as this one. It's also an insult to those who have already been harmed & their lives disrupted by thieves possibly utilizing similar met
  13. I'm pretty sure the program is funded by fees added to phone bills...that's what the Universal Service Fee is. Like food stamps and most other assistance, I think it should be scaled back to basic type service and the eligibility guidelines stricter but these type programs didn't originate with Obama, Dubya, Clinton et al...much of what is laid at the feet of any president belongs to the Congress. All of it. Many people think we are screwed by this politician or that party or whatever. I think we screwed ourselves when we settled for politics as a sorry substitute for government.
  14. Saw him back in the 80s at the Rainbo(w?sp) Music Hall, which to me will always be Crescent Park Skating Rink. It was packed, it was loud, there was alcohol involved and we had a good time. Everything a David Allan Coe show should be.
  15. They aren't middle-schoolers any longer...their previous friendship doesn't make it any less harrassment/stalking nor does it lessen the threat to her safety. This boy appears to be somewhat imbalanced mentally or emotionally - a protective order alone won't mean squat to him and even if they acknowledge the problem-and that's a pretty big IF, his parents can only do so much (if anything at all). Based on my own experience with an abusive boyfriend, I would suggest she enroll in some kind of self-defense or martial arts class if she's physically able to to so. And soon. Seriousl
  16. If a metal detector goes off, you went in the wrong door.
  17. The proliferation of commercials featuring (in no particular order): kids "making poopy" in the bathtub, kids "going potty" everywhere EXCEPT the potty, kids wiping snotty noses on the sleeves of innocent bystanders, a family of bears with a plethora of toilet paper issues and in the midst of all these, out comes an ad for cat litter to spell out for us exactly what kitty leaves in the litter box - hint: it's not just urine. Is that all anyone in the ad business thinks about? My (imaginary) kid climbs into the tub to 'make poopy' with a potty chair right there next to the tub he may a
  18. I had regular EEGs for several years beginning at about age 5. As far as the adhesive vs needles it was my understanding they would stop using adhesives as I got older (something makes me want to say age 12 or so) and use the needles instead.
  19. This is not universal across insurance policies or insurance companies. This might be where the whole 'decorative only' thing becomes an issue. If you have damage to a few siding boards, they are not going to replace all the the siding on the house, or even an entire wall. Same with sheetrock, only damaged areas would be replaced. Then it's painted to match. Often a customer wants to paint a whole room or house rather than try to match paint, which they are welcome to do if they want to pay the difference to paint the walls that were not damaged themselves. Most policies with
  20. Metallica Pick any song. There is no incorrect answer.
  21. You're correct about the discount. As to coverage, I'm not aware of any policy that excludes coverage for part of the structure for the reason you have cited, but I've also not ever seen a claim for shutters only - I would expect hail that damaged shutters would involve roof or siding damage or even broken windows as well.
  22. Damage to your home is damage to your home, many standard HO policies provide coverage for the dwelling unless specifically excluded in the policy contract. The only way to know for sure is to call your agent or insurer-or read all forms that were sent to you when you purchased the policy as well as any subsequent endorsements that might alter the original policy language. Your deductible will apply if the loss is covered by the policy. As far as affecting your premium, that varies from one company to the next. You might lose a claim-free discount, your company may have a system of sur
  23. Shooting someone who is threatening you with harm is one thing, but nothing I own is worth taking another person's life, especially at the cost of my own peace of mind.
