  1. You should have gone back in September when ALL of the rides were Water Rides!
  2. We're all down here at PCB this week. We came down Saturday after my renter left. We haven't seen anyone we know yet but we've seen a lot of cars with Paulding and Cobb county tags. Last night we had about 20 people in the condo. The Margaretta maker was working overtime. It's quiet here this morning. The sun is shining on the beach, sea gulls and dolphins are out... This is from yesterday afternoon.
  3. Tunnel information is classified. Not only do they have entrances close to Walmart parking lots, they also position them near Walmart lots with gas stations for refueling. The major purpose was to connect the military facilities in the area.
  4. Yeah, the only problem is that one of the benefits is their elimination due to the Fair Tax. However, with the new Health Care fiasco the IRS will be investigating everyone to make sure you have a government approved health care insurer. Maybe now, they'll pass the "no pre-existing condition" on automobile insurance. Since you're required to have automobile insurance there should be no problem with: "My. Allstate? I know you weren't my insurer before when I crashed my car into that tree, but now that you are my insurer I think you should have to pay to repair my car."
  5. Very safe? Their only safe when all of the other cars on the road are smart cars. They work well in Europe (that's about all I saw in Switzerland when I was there) but there are so many SUVs over here I wouldn't want anyone in my family driving on of those things. The same goes of that Mini Cooper. Just too little metal and too little weight to be safe on our roads.
  6. Tunnel construction has started back up in full swing.
  7. Now I susposed that there was LE directing traffic if the light was out. Since those lights seemed to be timed (not correctly) instead of reacting to increased or decreased flows of traffic, it would seem that traffic should have been flowing more smoothly than normal instead of it being worse. Of course, that assumption would be based on the LE actually trying to make the situation better instead of worse. Which brings this thought to mind, how long is it going to be or what's it going to take, to get all of those traffic lights in Hiram TIMED with each other so that once you're moving at
  8. If it was froze up outside that would not cause NO air to be coming out of your vents if the blower is ON, unless it is froze up INSIDE. You might also check the filter to make sure it isn't clogged too.
  9. If you don't enforce keeping non-residents out then you probably loose some legal ground on keeping them out. While some people might want to be nice and let them play, just wait until someone gets hurt and their parents sue the HOA for damages. In our subdivision we only pay $350 a year and we have people that monitor the amenities, authorized by the HOA. They can then call the LE to enforce the law. On our other property our dues are $958 PER MONTH and we have security guards hired to monitor the property and they will detain you until the popo shows up.
  10. Where the old bus station used to be? Where is that?
  11. I betcha William Hung is sad about that. Well, maybe not....
  12. I've been doing all of my bills online with Wachovia for several years and I've never had an issue. No more stamps, etc. I set up my bills to be paid about 3-5 days prior to their due date. Some of the bills are paid by check from Wachovia to the payee (even though its on-line), so I want to allow time for that.
  13. "I brought you in this world, I can take you out!" Or to say to a boy wanting to take you precious daughter out on a date, "I'm not afraid to go back to prison."
  14. The problem is that even though Obama said it would be in the Bill, Nancy said it was in the Bill, Harry said it was in the Bill; that anyone who read the Bill would know that IT WAS LEFT OUT! So I would continue to contribute to those organizations because any change in that area won't see any benefit until 2014, if then. ETA: There was a move by the insurance companies today to address the glitch in the new law, however many of the benefits that would be coming that would justify everyone to stop contributing to charities is still not there yet.
  15. The last time we stayed in Gatlinburg on the river at http://www.thebearskinlodge.com/. We really liked it. And it's right across from the breakfast place that everyone raves about.
  16. I had another one of those compact fluorescent lights burn out on me so I replaced them all with the incandescence light bulbs that I have removed to replace with CF's. I found out the reason why they say to replace the CFs one or two at a time. I replaced EVERY light in our house at the same time with CFs and did not see ANY difference in the light bill. And as far as the CFs lasting 6 times longer than a incandescent light? Baloney! So I burned all of my incandescent lights tonight so everyone on our street could see what they were doing. I also turned on the dual flood lights o
  17. I'm sure you could ask why you don't get paid for the meeting if it is mandatory and they'll probably tell you that if you want to leave during lunch and not attend the session then go ahead. But rest assured, they'll find something down the road to fire you for. If they are buying you lunch then you'd have to look at what you get paid per hour and what the cost of lunch is. And hope they don't come back asking you for some change back.
  18. Me too. I'd hate to be jogging along and have a rope fall out of a tree and wrap itself around my neck. I think I saw that on a movie one time.
  19. My wife works for a doctor. He says it's bad enough now that the insurance companies want to dictate what drugs he can prescribe for a patient. He ends up having to send them letters wanting to know if they want to take over the medical care of his patient then so be it, and make sure they have malpractice insurance. He sees the change becoming worse because the ones who will be denying benefits in the future won't have any medical background and it's only going to get worse. He said he may have to go to a cash only business and stop taking insurance entirely. He's talked to other doctors who
  20. You can do hand stands and hang your head upside down, and then bounce or hop. My granddaughter says that works for some of her dolls.
  21. So everyone will have to start flocking to the beach for their tans. Great. That'll make my business opportunity a little brighter. You'll see me out there. I'll be the one with the tank on my back looking like on of those eh... undocumented workers spraying weed killer. Only I'll be spraying tanning oils on your body... for a fee. And I'll throw in the sound of the crashing waves for free.
  22. Yeah, once all the scandals broke about ACORN they cut off all Federal founding (they stopped sending our tax dollars to them) and then private donations starting drying up. I'm sure George Soros is being their reorganization somehow.
  23. Since Driving is a 'Privilege' and not a 'Right', I wouldn't have a problem with every car requiring a Breathalyzer on the steering wheel before the car would start. On a side note, I can't believe that those parasites in Clayton county think that the county stopping bus service due to the system going bankrupt is a violation of their civil rights!
  24. I went to Shoney's a few years ago and ordered a Mushroom and Swiss hamburger. The waitress left and came back after about 5 minutes. She said "We don't have any Swiss cheese. What kind of cheese would you like?". I said, "I'd like Swiss cheese on my Mushroom and Swiss but if you're out of Swiss then how about White American cheese?" She said okay and disappeared. She came back after another 5-10 minutes. She said "We don't have any Mushrooms. Is that okay?" I told her, No. And we got up and left. Last time we've been to a Shoney's.
