I know I am knew to this speeding ticket stuff
Georgia Dawg replied to Baileybleu's topic in RECENT TOPICS
The convenience charge is just another revenue maker for them. I believe Greystone and some other companies charge a 'processing fee' to pay your bill by credit card. I'm surprised my bank doesn't charge for bill pay transactions but I guess processing checks costs them a whole lot more. -
[Historical re-enactment] "Pedro! Will you come on and stop carving out those calendars?" "Maria, I only have a few more stones left. 2011... and 2012. There, that should be enough." "Pedro, we'll be long gone before 2013 comes along. Someone else will pick it up there where you left off." "Maria, you're right. Funny thing though. Some one might think that when I ran out of stones that it would be the end of the world."

I guess it will depend on the legal definition of "slower traffic". Would that be driving under the speed limit? What if you're speeding but driving slowing than another speeder? Would you be breaking the law because you're not allowing someone the opportunity to break the law even more? Would the purpose of this new law really be to get the casual speeders out of the way of the professional speeders so law enforcement can write more super speeder tickets? So many questions....

Does anyone else miss the Italian rest.
Georgia Dawg replied to blessed mess's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I love Italian food. We went to Johnny Carino's when they opened, and then one other time. It was awful both times - at least for Italian food. Tasted pretty much the same as crap out of a microwave. I guess they couldn't fool enough people and the drop in business caused them to close. Poor food and poor service will do it every time. -
"Winter Storm Warning Warning, warning, danger Will Rogers" Actually, that should have been Will Robinson. I called my wife and told her that it looks like she might get 2 to 3 inches tonight. She said, "So, what else is new?"

"Did you get my bill? "

Friday night, we boarded our plane in Atlanta around 9:30 PM and backed away from the gate and taxied all over the airport to get in line for one of the few de-icers. We finally headed to the runway and took off at 2AM. I wonder if there is a website somewhere that has the legal speed limit for our roads? I know that Nebo road is registered with the state as 50 MPH but that didn't stop them from putting up 45 MPH signs. I believe someone got a ticket for breaking the '45' speed limit and it came up in court that the actual limit for that road is 50. The county had never petitioned the

To remain competitive these stations try to match each other in price. So when one station gets a delivery that allows them to drastically lower their price then the other stations usually lower their price to remain competitive even though they haven't yet received the less expensive gasoline. But when one station goes up, the other stations don't forfeit the opportunity to do likewise. It's always best to use a station that gets very frequent deliveries or offers a discount to a limited group (e.g. Sam's Club). If you think of it like investing (e.g. dollar cost averaging), filling up with

My long night lastnight! Afraid I am doomed again tonight!

I'm sure there are quite a few unemployed people right now who would love to swap places with you. -
Everyone is different in this regard. It doesn't mean that they weren't close. My parents were very close, married for 56+ years. But as soon as my Dad's funeral was over my mother was ready to get rid of my Dad's things (clothes, etc). I guess some of it was to start the process of dealing with it, part of it was knowing that he was no longer here, he was in a better place. She never really clung to material possessions although they had plenty. Besides, these were only "things" anyway. Memories, on the other hand, you'll have forever.

Statement from Cobb about illegal workers
Georgia Dawg replied to michelay1000's topic in Paulding County NEWS
Not trying to steal your idea but the next time you need to go to the emergency room just take that jacket out of your closet that has that INS or Border Patrol patch on it and you'll be amazed how quickly people in the waiting area seem to get healed and leave, bringing your name closer and closer to the front of the line. -
We've tried Cheeseburger Bobbys twice, once after they opened and once again a month or so ago. Their burgers are all cooked WELL DONE and they won't cook them any less. The reason for that is because they buy substandard meat that they won't cook less than that due to product liability. Fuddruckers, on the other hand, buys a very good grade of meat with no fear of cooking the meat less than well done. Plus the fries at Bobby's are nasty. I don't know how long they'll stay in business serving crappy food like that.

I'm waiting for school buses to be outfitted with the lapbars like the roller coasters at Six Flags. It'll also keep the kids from jumping around and fighting on the bus.

Are pet owners responsible for damage to others' property?
Georgia Dawg replied to November Rain's topic in RECENT TOPICS
The number of people who think that the driver is responsible for his own car damage when a dog gets loose and runs into the street just goes to show how the general public is so uneducated about certain things and general laws. These same people probably park in gore areas, cross over solid white lines, make more than one lane change at a time on the interstate, drive in the rain without headlight/taillights on, fail to use blinkers, etc. -

I could say that the family should forgive them, but that does not forgive the act of these firemen that caused her death. You can forgive someone's sin, but that doesn't resolve them from being punished for it. Other circumstances will come into play for a trial. I understand that the fire shut down her electricity in the house and she was found in the garage trying to get the garage door to operate and open so she could get out. Since there was no power the door wouldn't open. That is an indication that she was fully aware of what was happening and probably suffered greatly in being burn

ventfree gas fireplace need instructional help
Georgia Dawg replied to pyrojosh's topic in RECENT TOPICS
There is really not much difference between a vented and a vent free. You'll smell gas from both when they are first lit. The Vent free just comes with an oxygen depletion sensor so that when the oxygen level is too low in the room it will automatically shut off the gas. There's really nothing special about the orifices on the pipe. -
Is the $3/sq ft the price for staining or painting? Are there any discount quantity breaks? I'm looking at around 800 Sq Ft to start with. It could include my entire driveway if the price was right.

My issue is I've got 9 TV's and need internet to work from home, so Cable works okay for me. Now, Comcast is wanting me to rent those DTA boxes for each TV, but they all work fine.

So would it be against the law to publish a picture of the car and license plate when they're parked illegally (e.g. at a store, etc.)?
