Paper and plastic grocery bags could soon cost you
Georgia Dawg replied to MillCreek's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Let's see.... Choke a fish, Kill a tree. Decisions, decisions... Providing bags is part of doing business and is already figured into the prices the store is charging. I wish they would go ahead and start putting RFID tags on everything. Then you could bag your groceries as you go through the store (with the store's or your own). When you are done you push your cart into a stall at the front where it locks it in, reads all of the tags in your shopping cart, tells you the total and you pay for your stuff. Once the transaction is complete the backside of the stall unlocks and you -
Posting a video of a vehicle with its license plate shown is legal as long as the vehicle is not on private property.

I thought you wear going to say... "If you're going to cheat on your wife... why WOULD YOU CHEAT ON HER WITH HER MOTHER!!!! That makes me question the person's judgment. Not judging the person on his shortcomings, but his judgment on who he chose to do that with definitely brings much into question. At least, IMHBAO.

The last time we were in Dogwoods they had AYCE catfish and catfish fillets. They are much better than the Catfish Den. They are located in the old Catfish Den location on 92 (not the new Catfish Den location) just down from Nebo.

Be glad you didn't buy a car from the UK. They don't have any drink holders since that is frowned upon.

Maybe people who throw trash out on our roads and making sure there is something for those DUI drivers to pick up on their "community service" weekends. Regardless of whether it's a cigarette butt, gum wrapper or fast food drink cup, it's all trash! Would you throw that out on the floor in your home?\ Too bad I'm not a cop. I'd be writing out tickets all day long. Hopefully one day people would get the message.

I figure they are back working on the tunnels. The water levels must have gone down enough.

Question about liquor permits/ schools and churches
Georgia Dawg replied to LPPT's topic in RECENT TOPICS
If you can't open a restaurant to serve alcohol within 300 feet of a church or school then they shouldn't be able to build a church or school within 300 feet of your establishment. -

Maybe it was to explain that he didn't have to take "all" his business out in order to pee.... just enough to win the turkey (another joke I'll have tell sometime).

The Lone Ranger's Last Request The Lone Ranger was ambushed and captured by an enemy Indian War Party. The Indian Chief proclaims, "So, YOU are the great Lone Ranger" "In honour of the Harvest Festival, YOU will be executed in three days." "Before I kill you, I grant you three requests" "What is your FIRST request ???' The Lone Ranger responds, "I'd like to speak to my horse." The Chief nods and Silver is brought before the Lone Ranger who whispers in Silver's ear, and the horse gallops away. Later that evening, Silver returns with a beautiful blond

If you ever filed for Homestead exemption or paid taxes on that property then there is no need to file this return every year. "No Requirement To File A Return Every Year If a taxpayer filed a property tax return or paid taxes on their property the year before and does not file a return on their property for the current tax year, then they are considered to have filed a return on the same property at the same valuation as the year before. And they are considered to have claimed the same homestead exemptions and personal property exemptions as they had in the previous year."

Exactly. For the 3 estates for which I've been the executor, I haven't had to file an inventory with the court. Although I did maintain an Excel spreadsheet of the assets for my own purposes, to ensure the estate was distributed properly. So far I haven't had to worry about paying estate taxes for the estate since the overall value of any of them wasn't over the estate tax limits for 2009, which was 3.5 million.

My parents researched our family tree. They haven't paid anything other than the cost for Family Tree Maker to maintain all of the data and the gas to travel to the various counties were their search led them to. They went to libraries, searched death indexes, and visited lots of cemeteries. They've got data going back to the 1700's and currently have over 25,000 verified individuals in the family tree. It can be fun, it can also be a lot of work. I think if I was retired that it would be a lot of fun since I'd have the time to commit to it.

My parents did their wills with one of those "Do it yourself" templates. I did have to get in touch with the witnesses (find them first) to get additional paperwork signed and notarized. Then everything at the probate court appeared to go well, and the will and additional paperwork appeared to be approved by the judge. However, when it came to selling the property the Underwriting department of the mortgage company for the person wanting to buy the house did not like what it "didn't" say in the will as far as the executor being able to sell and dispose of property without signed consent

I've had my carryon swabbed many times. I guess the frequency of swabbing hands will become even more so. I can imagine that eventually you'll have to pass your hands over something when you pass through the metal detector so that everyone gets swabbed.

Exactly. As well as lots of other things need to be addressed properly to avoid problems later.

You can write one yourself, but you should follow some general guidelines provided in some of the wills that your can view on the internet. You can Google Georgia Wills and you can see samples there and then copy the text and make the changes. Wills are not required to be notarized but are required to be witnessed. That's where people get in trouble. The witnesses need to be non-related to you and there needs to be a self proving affidavit for the witnesses. If the witness portion of the will is not written correctly then your executor may have to locate those witnesses (years from now) and tr
