We wrote messages on the outside of diapers so the new mom/dad would have something funny, encouraging or silly to read while changing the diapers. "Please be #1 only", "Honey, it's your turn!", "A year from now, we'll laugh about this", etc. Useful decoration, a clothes line filled with baby clothes.

Is she parking in a garage or outside? Sap from trees will make your windows awful. When I was working, we only had a few parking places, all underneath Mulberry trees. The mess was terrible, and even worse when the birds ate the berries first!

Most of the ones around here are called Ruby Throated. The males have red at their neck, the female does not.

We have one feeder outside our kitchen window. This morning I was at the kitchen sink, a little hummer came right to the window and stared at me, patiently waiting. I realized that feeder was empty! She was trying to tell me it was time for breakfast. They are eating a lot! I'm sure gonna miss them when they leave!

We were so happy when that little bird flew away! I wish you could have seen the look on my daughter's face - she just glowed! We left the red bottle cap with sugar water on the porch rail, and one of the females would go to it to drink. We had taken several pictures of the web-removing process, and from the markings on that one, we're pretty sure it was the one who had been entangled. I'll see if I can remember how to post photos on here (which means, I'll have to get help from DH!).

There was a suicide there in May, 2008.

Yesterday, we awoke to find a hummingbird entangled in a spider web just outside our breakfast room window. She was trying frantically to free herself from the web. DH was able to get her out of the web, but she was worn out from trying to free herself. He carefully picked her up and brought her to our swing on the porch. I took her some sugar water (I always have it for their feeders) in a red bottle cap. After awhile she was able to drink. We left her alone while I had a doctor's appointment. Upon our return, we were hoping to find her happily flying with her friends. Unfortunately,

Awww, thank you all so much! Santa always loves visits from the children (of all ages ) Anywhere, anytime, never hesitate to visit Santa - he enjoys this as much as the kids do! Sounds like your son need a 'clapper' so he can turn his light back on himself. Or, what about those stick-on lights that you can put anywhere? Just stick one near his bed or in the closet.

I think phones and texting should not be allowed while driving, and anyone caught doing either should be given a hefty fine. I stopped at a stop sign once, and the person behind me went around me and on through the stop sign, ON THE PHONE!!!! Another one looked right at me, pulled right out in front of me, and then turned in front of another car, giving us all the evil eye and that person was the one who DID NOT have the right of way! ON THE PHONE!! People need to concentrate on what they are doing while driving. No excuses! Glad your bus driver was alert!
