  1. Remember that song......"Turn around and you're 2, turn around and you're 4, turn around and you're a young girl going out of the door....." Several years ago, we photographed a wedding and the bride and her father walked down the aisle to that. Not a dry eye in the house! Hold on to all the precious moments!
  2. Patak Meat Products 4107 Ewing Road Austell, GA 770/941-7993 It's off Powder Springs Road, near those big storage tanks. I think approximately where the loop crosses PS Road. They have a website.
  3. Well, there was only that couch and the brown, yellow, and orange plaid one from which to choose!
  4. For many, many years I was the only one (of 5) in the house that knew how to replace a roll of toilet paper! Oh, wait! I'm still the only one (of 2)!!!
  5. If you're shooting with a slow shutter speed, anyone walking by will appear ghostly. We have numerous photos taken at the Field of Flags with those images. And yes, we saw people walking by and knew what to expect on the photos - ghost-like images.
  6. My daughter has the same problem with another branch of this store. Someone by the same name who gets narcotics. Starting to look suspicious to me.
  7. What was your shutter speed when this photo was taken?
  8. Uhhhh, if it doesn't rattle, it must be a Cobra. Stand back!!!
  9. We had relatives visiting recently from out of state. When we started to get out at a fabric store, one of the kids wanted to just stay in the car and play (she is 11). They all thought it was OK, just crack a window. I said, "No, we can't leave her in a car alone, we might be arrested or ticketed for child abuse." I insisted she go in with us. The out of towners were astonished that she couldn't stay in the car for a little while alone. I wasn't going to take any chances.
  10. I thought casinos had to be on Indian Reservations, as in Cherokee, NC, etc. There are tons of them out West, on every reservation. I think the one(s) in Alabama are on reservation properties. We stayed in a hotel out West somewhere that was on a reservation and were charged a 'reservation tax' in addition to regular hotel taxes. Is the one in Mississippi on the water?
  11. A visit to Cabela's for a camo leafy thingy, a yellow poncho with orange blinky lights attached with - what else? - duct tape. Wear black clothes, black gloves, put the poncho on, drape the leafy thingy over you (hubby helped!) I sat in a chair, with the candy bowl in my lap, put my hands through openings in the camo leafy thingy, moved very slooooowly and handed candy to the kids who were brave enough to come up. I could see them perfectly, they couldn't tell who I was at all, some even thought I was a remote controlled robot. Too funny!
  12. A lot of churches have "trick or trunk" where the kids trick or treat in the church parking lots. The kids visit each car and candy is passed out from the trunks of the cars. Fun, safe and the kids know everyone - except when hubby dressed as Moses and I dressed as the burning bush.
  13. One of those Hollywood type info shows yesterday was reporting that his mother wanted him buried at Forest Lawn, secretly. and in an unmarked grave. Story could, and probably will, change.
  14. What you are planning to do to dry them should work. Squirrels and mice? Just let them be - they will add to the haunted theme.
  15. Peach Cobbler 1 stick butter (margarine) 1 Cup sugar 1 Cup self-rising flour 1 Cup milk 1 large can sliced peaches Turn oven on to 350 degrees. Melt margarine in 8x12 dish in the oven. While margarine is melting, mix together sugar, flour, and milk. When margarine is melted, pour sugar/flour/milk mixture into margarine. Pour can of peaches into mix. DO NOT STIR. Cook about 30-35 minutes, until crust (which comes to the top) is brown. Delicious hot or cold. Can substitute any canned fruit (use 2 cans if small cans). Can also use fresh strawberries (cut
  16. My niece used to work at a hospital, and she had to bathe a very heavy person. She found pencils, pens, crackers, paper clips, and the tv remote in the layers of fat. The person didn't even know those things were there. She'd been looking for her tv remote!
  17. Books-a-Million at Highway 41 in Acworth had a bunch Wednesday, I think for less that $5 each.

A spoonful of sugar.......... works every time!
  19. You just HAVE to get this on video! We want to see this! You could be on Letterman!
  20. We always thought y'all was just a 'Southern thing', but traveling recently to many states out West of the Mississippi and North of the Mason Dixon Line, we heard y'all in many, many areas of the 37 states we've visited. We were pleasantly surprised.
  21. I've done this. Worked fine. When you get ready to cook some, leave the shucks on, cut both ends off, put it in the microwave for 3 minutes. The shucks will just fall off and I use a paper towel to remove the silks. Yummy! (There's just 2 of us most of the time, so I do one ear at a time.) Corn is my most favorite food!
  22. I do the same thing because when I use my 'good' things to send leftovers, I never get the good ones back! Don't feel bad. You know if you throw them away, somebody is going to need them the next day! Years ago when my dd was in kindergarten, I saved egg cartons for the teacher for crafts. When school was out, I threw away all the unclaimed cartons. The very next day, my neighbor called to see if I had any extra egg cartons. Her son was into rock collecting and that's what he used to label and store rocks. Oh, and that press 'n seal wrap works nicely if you can't find the lids
  23. Dallas Tire will always treat you right.
  24. If you haven't heard them in a while, they are probably gone, as the ones we had were very noisy. You could hear them flying in and out. You're probably safe.
