  1. Not to worry. I tend to give myself a little gift every now and then. "You mean this ole' thing? It's been hanging in my closet for quite awhile!"
  2. Buy some shortbread cookies. Melt chocolate and dip half of each cookie in the chocolate. It looks good, tastes great and is quick.
  3. My family usually just wants sausage balls, orange juice, coffee. I make sausage balls ahead of time and freeze them, then just cook and eat on Christmas morning. We stayed at a B&B this past Spring and this was our breakfast: Berry French Toast 1 Loaf French bread, cut into 1 inch cubes 2 8 Oz. Cream Cheese, cut into 1 inch cubes 1 Cup Raspberries, Blueberries or both (fresh or frozen) - we had raspberries 12 Large Eggs 1/3 Cup Maple Syrup or other syrup 2 Cups Milk Arrange 1/2 of bread cubes in buttered 9x13 dish. (She used Pam and said it works better) Sca
  4. Barnes and Nobel book store gift cards are great! Most people love a good book - even kids!
  5. I really hate to hear this. Could they just be closed for vacation?

    santa

Santa is on the square in Marietta today, 11:00-5:00. He's a real Santa (nothing fake). He's on a couple of billboards on 278 in Hiram, too. Check out photos at Santaonthesquare.com
  7. They are my favorite. Now I want cookies!!
  8. Another friend always let her children put the ornaments on the tree. She never moved the ornaments, so when they were little, all the ornaments were on the bottom of the tree. She made sure to take pictures each year. As the children grew over the years, the ornaments got higher on the tree until the whole tree became decorated from bottom to top. It was fun to look back at the photos of her trees with the children each year.
  9. One family we know puts clear and colored lights on their tree, but only use the clear lights until after Santa comes. Santa "changes" the lights to color for Christmas morning.
  10. Someone I know puts clear lights on the tree and colored lights. She only plugs in the clear lights until Christmas Eve after the children have gone to sleep. Then after Santa comes, the colored lights are turned on. Santa puts the magic in the tree and changes the lights to color. I'd do that, too, if I had little ones at home. I think that's a cute idea!
  11. And neither are her parents for insisting that she should be able to play.
  12. It's a ring-back tone. Hubby's plays "Here comes Santa Claus"
  13. We'll take it (the firetruck). PM me for pickup info.
  14. Do you have a picture of the firetruck pedal car?
  15. Thanks, Lt. Dan! No, sorry, but his photo was on Ellen Degeneres on Dec. 4.
  16. He's also on a couple of billboards on 278 in Hiram.
  17. Happy Birthday, LPPT! You're the best! I hope all your birthday wishes come true.
  18. We were out shopping yesterday, and several people stepped or ran out in front of us while we driving through the parking lots, and not one of them even looked to see if anyone was driving by. And just forget about using a crosswalk! We kept saying, "What is wrong with people just darting out like that"! Not kids, adults! Hope the teen is OK!
  19. The Hiram Coffee House in Old Town Hiram is a great place for a shower. The owners are wonderful people and the food is fabulous!
  20. Is there a new baby around? If so, it's common for the 'trained' to become 'untrained'.
  21. Bring it to the tree lighting in Old Town Hiram tonight and try it out. Santa will be there!
  22. This is happening Friday, Dec. 4, 6-9 pm in Old Town Hiram.
  23. Santa will be there for sure! Don't know about the nativity scene...
