  1. What a beautiful baby. Lucy is a great name. Congratulations.
  2. You have my sympathies too. This has to be one of the hardest things to do.
  3. Thank you. I wasn't looking forward to no electricity.
  4. Thanks for posting that. It is very cool.

    My Daddy

I'm sorry for your loss. We lost my husband's brother Saturday too. Was not a good day.
  6. This is legitimate. They offer some good options. I tried them, but I live in a valley and don't get good cell service at all and, this wasn't an option for me. They use the Sprint network so, if you get good reception with sprint, it is a very good option.
  7. My mother in law was a patient there. They bent over backwards for her. I have nothing but good to say about the staff and facilities.
  8. I was in an auto accident some time ago and had an MRI last week. Turns out I have some bulging discs and spinal stenosis. I've been going to a chiropractor who is very good and has helped a lot. Now, though, apparently I am needing some stronger therapy. Ortho recommended steriod shots, a course of 3 if needed. Anyone have any advise, pros and cons, or any experiences. Thanks for your input.
  9. Well, I guess I'll have to pony up for a new all in one printer. My HP is dying. Anyone have any recommendations for inexpensive printers and not too expensive ink?
  10. I live close by, but didn't hear anything.
  11. Some folks I know are looking for a sawmill. They have an extremely large tree they have to cut down and are thinking of taking it to a sawmill to get boards made of it. Anyone know where there is a sawmill?
  12. So I had this beautiful watermelon to cut this afternoon. When I put a knife into it, it just split like crazy. It was a beautiful melon, sweet and tasty, except it was mushy, yuck. Really, just yuck. Well, not wanting to waste that wonderful sweetness, I looked on the internet to find out what to do with mushy melon. Low and behold, the first thing I found was granita (basically slushy frozen juice). So, loving the adventure of testing out something new, I juiced the melon, placed some of the juice in the freezer and it's lovely and slushy now. I'm taking it to a friend's house for girl's night. The rest of the juice will be used for watermelon lemonade - soooo tasty; and some of the puree is in the dehydrator to make fruit leather. Now I wonder why I have not done this years ago. I hate wasting and now I have found a way to have a wonderful treat. Anyone else found a good way to use mushy watermelon?
  13. I use that same recipe for my cobbler too. I have added a few blueberries and it a very good combination.
  14. I know people who are in Paulding's facility. All reports are good. One lady has been there for a few years - her daughter would not allow her to remain there if it wasn't an exceptional place.
  15. That is a wonderful story. So happy for you. That grandbaby is definitely a cutie. Congratulations on a happy ending.
