Of course they are out. That is the 2010/2011 budget which is for July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011. I'm talking about the 2011/2012 budget that goes from July 1, 2011 to June 30, 2012

Oh, I know how to do the calculation. I've owned (mortgaged) a few homes over the past 25 years. Tax season is going to be real interesting later on. I can only imagine what the County and School Board budgets are going to look like for next year.

The majority of the county's assessments are down from last year. Ours was 29% ($43,900) and we don't live off Hwy 92. The Hwy. 92 widening is a State project anyway. The County has nothing to do with it; therefor, your County assessment is not part of some "fishy" situation.

You miss-read. Our bank has asked for more money in escrow each year because of the increase in taxes. This coming year should be much different. We'll see.

Ours dropped $43, 900.00 (29%). Would be interesting to see what our mortgage will be like come November. Over the past three years our mortgage has gone up about $100.00 a month, each year, (we are now paying $300.00+ more a month than 3 years ago) due to assessed taxes on the property (according to the bank). This new assessment has wiped out this increase plus some more. We'll see what the difference is soon.

Actually they will send you three at no charge. The larger box that has the on-demand and two smaller ones.

Installed 4 of them a couple weeks ago at our house. Easy to follow directions. After hooking them up, I went online to activate them. The smaller boxes were activated instantly. Took about 30-minutes to fully activate the larger box. The first three boxes are free. The fourth will cost us under $5.00 a month. Great deal for the great picture quality and almost double the channels we were getting before. Crystal clear picture on all eleventy-million channels now.

Um, Right of Way does not mean that it belongs to the County. Right of Way means just that, giving an entity, in this case county services, the right of way on your property to access utilities, drainage ditches and what not. It's still your property. Some municipalities offer a service of cutting the grass, some don't. With the state of the economy some "free services" need to be cut back. There are Right of Ways in subdivisions as well. I guess we all need to stop cutting the grass in our front lawns along the Right of Ways as well then. This will surely put an end to this stupid thread.

We have two children who go to EPHS. Only received one of their report cards in the mail today. Guess I'll just average it out between the two of them.

Real simple. After mowing your yard, blow the clippings off the road onto your yard. I know of one very large landscaping firm that was fined a huge amount of money by the EPD for blowing the grass clippings off the yards, into the road and then into the storm drain inlet. This is a stormwater quality violation that is handled by the state. Grass clipping contain chemicals (fertilizer, insecticides and the like). It is illegal to dump chemicals, directly or indirectly into state waters. All storm drain inlets reach state waters at some point. Now, we are talking large amounts of clippings

Great post LPPT! This is why we've rarely come on here any more. This place has turned into a bitch-fest. Really feel sorry for those who put this place together. It used to be a great site to come to.

Depending on the time of day will greatly influence the menu. Also, keep in mind that this is a very, very special occasion. Don't serve everyday, ordinary foods and drinks. Forget the redneck nectar, cheese and crackers and sandwiches. You can serve those at your next picnic. This is a WEDDING. Go for something different and unique.
